I really liked the food here, and have been here twice now and been impressed with the ramen and appetizers each time.Unfortunately, the building itself reeks of sewage, so much so that we considered walking out within 10 seconds of entering the building. It smelled this way both times (several weeks between visits) and was really difficult to enjoy our meal while smelling sewage so strongly.I am not seeing any other reviewers mentioning this except on Yelp, so I am leaving this review so that the owners hopefully notice and do something to fix the smell. I'd love to come back, but I will not be doing so until the smell issue is fixed. (And I'll happily update my review to 4 or even 5 stars then)

I ordered ramen from Ichitaru through DoorDash and when I was eating my ramen, I almost choked on a piece of string. I'm not sure where it was from, but most likely it's the string that tied the chashu together. This is extremely unacceptable. Someone could have really gotten hurt. Thank goodness I was able to see it before my kids tried it.

Received through DoorDash. The ramen (miso and spicy miso) were salty and oddly sweet. The garlic was better than the Nibishi ramen. The karaage was a sad pile of extra crispy batter crumbs. Very small and not juicy. (Not much chicken) The size felt more like they were extra toppings, not an appetizer or main course.On the flip side, the jalapeño bomb was soggy (not crunchy) and also had the same sweetness as the broth.Not worth a second try, for me.

So been coming here for years especially before moving out to the Coachella valley. So was looking forward to trying it again, was always one of my favorite ramen places when I lived in OC.Unfortunately once we walked in, it smelled funky. Almost like if you were next to the restroom. So took a bit to get use to. It was really busy and I noticed still they only have one server for all the tables. But she was on it for everyone. So great service from her despite them having her be the only one with a packed restaurant.The ramen is still good but wasn't feeling the chatsu this time. We both still ate most of it. Of course they have a wide selection of ramen and tried almost all of them but have my favorites. So anyone new can look forward to having options. I feel as though the majority of the people eating in there have gone there before, because most people are patient and were quick to order.Still giving it a 4 because the majority of the time between my first review and now we're positive experiences. It was probably busy because not everything was opened on New Year's Day and it was very busy. Like I said props to the waitress, think her name was Sam, for keeping up. Just hope next time it doesn't smell and it's not crazy busy. But will still keep going back.

Wanted to try something new with my lo so looked up reviews and this one looked solid. No kidding about it being a hole in the wall with plenty of single/bar like seating and about six tables for couples and small groups. On the table they have menus and a little holder for chopsticks and condiments. If you need a fork or straw just ask and they will provide one. We ordered the garlic bomb spicy miso ramen and one kids ramen with hot green tea and an apple juice. In all honesty I love a place that keeps little ones in mind by offering kid sized portions. Our drinks came out first and to my surprise their tea is legit Japanese tea by Yamamoto Yama! While waiting for the food we had to check out the restroom. There's only one but it's spacious and clean. Let me say we will be back the ramen was so tasty! I chose the thick noodle and it was so delish with the broth. For toppings and garnish they used scallions, bamboo shoots and a pork chashu. My son's ramen was perfect and simple with egg noddle, the way he likes it. Overall would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Good place. I went with the spicy (level 10) Shochu Ramen Spice was a good medium level. I think I may try the challenge of 20 spice and get my picture on the wall. Good amount of food for a lunch.

I got to say, this food is incredible! I had the Vegetable Ramen with Vegetable Broth spice level 10 and it was soooooooo flavorful! I will come back again 100% I have found my new Favourite ramen shop! PLEASE COME TRY! Also, we came in a group of 8 and order a lot of food and it was a little than a Buffet dinner for 4. We all left full. Our waitress was very kind and attentive! Amazing night here!Vegetarian options: Vegetable ramen with vegetable broth!Parking: Lots of space, it is located in a strip mall
