Congested waiting area. No social distancing. Cashier/host should not be working. Totally clueless. Ask question with no responses. How long is the wait; do you need a number? Went to another person. She ask the ssme questions. I left. Will never go there. Just realize the horrendous health score! She did me a favor. Not the place to dine. When it was King Wah. It was ok. All the cosmetic work and still a low heath score.

Good food, nice service and nice staffs. Now it's still pandemic time, some other restaurants do not have enough staffs to work and the service are going down. But here the staffs are very friendly, nice and patience. It value that I give 5 stars!

This restaurant has new ownership now. I order dim sum for takeout and it's ready right on time. Foods are very well packaged, very clean and fresh, very tasty. I'd say quality is above average . I'd come back to try others dishes for sure

We've gotten a whole duck from here a few times during covid pandemic. It's about $24 and generous portion of meat. Would definitely recommend again. Even my picky Chinese immigrant parents approve! I call in my orders and pick it up.

Just got done eating the most delicious whole fried fish with ginger, scallions, and soy sauce! Was craving this dish for Lunar New Year and ordered from Ming Yuan and they were great! The portion was huge and the fish crispy and perfect. Also ordered some dim sum and it was equally delicious. My favorite was the sesame ball because I have a sweet tooth :) The service was also 5 stars and they were really friendly at pick up! Thank you Ming Yuan!

We order Salt and pepper Cod and the Buddha 's delight. Food taste good . I was disappointed with the order through Yelp. The restaurant did not send our order to the restaurant when we arrived the person at the front mention he did not see our order on the screen . I have to give him our order again and wait another 15 minutes . It is Chinese New Year 's eve which is understandable . They should have being prepare to have an extra influx of order for this special holiday .

I called them two days trying to ask about ordering certain specials, but no one picked up the phone. What's with the restaurant. Are they out of business???

Try the Cantonese (salt and pepper) roast chicken. I think it's one of their specialties and it's good! It's not straight table salt and pepper, of course, but a nicely balanced, finely ground blend provided in a little container which you can sprinkle on the super crispy roasted chicken once you've brought your take out home! You can choose a half or whole chicken. Of course, we just got take out so we didn't interact with the staff much, but the man who prepped our order was nice. I saw that they have a little "prix fixe" dim sum take out menu that looks intriguing too.

this place got a solid 2.5 stars. not the best, not the worst. I wouldn't have got the order of calamari. it was such a large order (which is great) but they're overly breaded with an absolutely tasteless breading. like not even ANY salt or pepper or any seasoning, and NO SAUCE TO DIP IN?!?! I'm now trying to figure out how to repurpose all this calamari because I would hate to waste it. I would've liked if there were actually egg chunks in the egg fried rice The stuffed eggplant was kinda weird, like stuffed with a patty of sorts, but it was good. the beef and Chinese broccoli was yummy as were my desserts.

We came here a few days after San Mateo County had once again ordered restaurants to cease indoor and outdoor dining. Craving some dim sum, we chose to order food to take home. Using their colorful tri-fold menu with numerous pictures of dim sum, we marked what we wanted and placed our order at the counter. It took a few minutes longer than the 15-20 minutes that we were told but it was worth the wait. Because everything appears to be fried, steamed or otherwise cooked to order, all of our food was still hot when we got home ten minutes later. There was one minor error, we got two orders of Deep Fried Meat Dumplings and didn't get one order of a Meat Topped Taro Cake. All in all, a decent food experience. We'll be back.

I haven't been here for years but apparently it is not king wah anymore.. new management means new menu, the food was ridiculously overpriced and the food was very bland! Let's start off with the fried rice, was supposed to be a combination with seafood, never had bay shrimp in fried rice before, so bland I had to add soy sauce for some flavor..the shrimp chow mein had burnt noodles and shrimp was undercooked, how does that even happen?? the Mongolian beef had so much onion and very little beef. We spent $57. It was the worst "Chinese food" we ever had. See attached photos!!

While working in the Essential Services, we must feed ourselves. I was in Daly City , cruising through the Southgate area, parked and saw....whole roast ducks. I asked the price and asked for half a duck. The staff was very friendly and happy to have business. The restaurant appeared neat and clean. The duck was juicy and delicious. Dark carmel brown skin. Perfect, the way I like it. [Covid-19 review]

King Wah, that used to be here, was a pretty decent restaurant. After this place was closed and reopened, we decided to give it a try. The layout of the restaurant changed from before. They have closed off the back to host wedding banquets, while leaving the front of diners and a couple of party rooms for big parties. This place was remodeled pretty nicely. The restaurant was cold though. We had 3 dishes, Chef Special Beef Rib $22, Dry Scallop with Mushroom Chow Yee Mein $18 and Egg Tofu & Mushroom with Greens $16. The Beef rib was so good. The meat was fall off the bone tender. It was really good with the sauce as well. The noodles are a pass. Kind of plain, but expected. Expensive on that front. The Egg Tofu was pretty good too but the sauce was a bit bland. Could use some more salt for flavor. All in all, dine in experience was not too bad. Food was decent, kind of pricey. Definitely get the Beef rib if anything.

Didn't know King Wah closed down in Westlake and this new place took over. I'm reviewing this based on my take out experience and not eating inside the restaurant. We ordered few dim sum to take out, salted fish fried rice, and Singaporean noodles. The front desk lady took our order and we waited about 5-10 minutes at most and she told us to have a seat while we waited. The inside of the restaurant looks the same as when it was King Wah. After 5-10 minutes, the food came out and we were on the way out. The food overall was not bad! The salted fish fried rice is always my favorite and it tasted delicious like any other places to be honest. The dim sum also tasted fresh from the oven. The only dish I was a bit disappointed was the Singaporean noodles. It seem like it was too plain and I'm not sure if that's how Singaporean noodles are but it came with very few veggies/meat. I will come back next time to eat inside for dim sum or during dinner!
