This place sucks food was cold girl at front was rude and got worse when I didn't tip a minimum of 20% I would say dog food would taste better than this place which is sad cause iv been to other ones and they had been good my advice go somewhere

OMG, didn't know the Great Steak still existed, had to stop by and try one of my faves while doing a little shopping at the Serramonte Center. They have a clean and inviting storefront in the food court, fast and friendly service, and a much larger menu than what you see online, including burgers, grilled sandwiches, and breakfast items (see my menu pics). My go-to sandwich here is the pastrami philly. Delicious, smoky pastrami smothered with melted cheese and grilled onions. And adding fresh lettuce and tomato for 35 cents extra is definitely worth it. Pricey, yes $15 for a small, but the 6-7 inch sub is already filling, so I'd say the large size is unnecessary. And because it's rare to find a Great Steak nowadays, I don't mind paying a little more for this yummy savory treat.

Got the pastrami, a king potato, and great fries. Everything was cold and not 1 bit of steam. I'm now the sickest I've been in a long time. This place should be brought up to code or shut down. There is a reason for holding temps.

One of the eatery in the Serramonte Mall, eat a steak sandwich which was good, with fries, and drink. The seat is good midweek, bit crowded on the weekends.

First off their app is absolutely useless.I tried 5 times to place and order and it can't register Serramonte for some reason.There was no line, yet it took forever to get my order. Seriously, with 3 people working too.Not sure what's going on here.My fries were cold, the sandwich was okay but hardly any mushrooms or onions which I wanted. For almost $20 with fries and a drink this is pricey. Also, we didn't see much difference between the regular and larger sandwich. Like maybe one inch. Which is like more bread anyways rather than meat.

I recently had the chance to try a cheesesteak and fries combo that, while boasting a good taste, fell short in a couple of areas. The cheesesteak featured tender beef and melted cheese on a soft roll, delivering a satisfying flavor profile. The fries, however, were excessively oily, which made the overall experience quite heavy and greasy. Additionally, it was disappointing that the establishment had a mandatory tipping policy, without offering a no-tip option for customers. While the taste was enjoyable, the excessive oiliness and lack of flexibility in tipping options made the experience less than ideal.

I ordered a steak sandwiche and fries to go. I found a piece of cleaning wire at the bottom of the fries my kids could of choked or myself I tried to call the store to speak with a manager but the lady said no manager on duty!
The first time I ate here they don't charge for extra mayo now they do and there is no free refills for the sodas.

I recommend the pepper steak sandwich. On another occasion I ordered a baked potato. Can't remember exactly which one but I would have preferred a liquid cheese instead of the grated cheese on it. Also the potato was stiff and a bit stale. I want a freshly baked potato next time, thank you.

What an unbelievable rip off. Where's the beef???? The cheese is basically the same as 7-11 nacho sauce. No green peppers on your Philly what??? And the regular sandwich is like $12 for the basic is about as satisfying as a stale dinner roll dipped in cheese sauce. Avoid this place and eat anywhere else. Anywhere is better.

I wish I had looked at the reviews before going here and spending my money. Food was not worth it. Baked potato with broccoli and cheese comes with nacho cheese not fresh shredded cheese and had hair in the baked potato and the macaroni and cheese is the kraft macaroni and cheese. So disappointing to spend money on food like this.
