I had an extraordinary experience at this restaurant. We enjoyed the fantastic environment and the meals. The staff members are super amiable. I’m happy we eventually decided to visit this spot.

The wait for takeout on Mother's Day night was 1.5 hours! Good thing we called in to order before we were actually hungry. How's that for being a supermom and pre-planning :) Order: Spicy Miso Ramen and Chirashi Bowl The ramen was delicious! The broth was super flavorful, but it also had brussel sprouts? That was weird. I didn't care for it, but it also didn't ruin the soup. I just never had it in ramen before! I sure do miss eating ramen at a restaurant though. I miss the presentation, how hot the soup is, and those big ceramic bowls! The sashimi was good and fresh, and that sushi rice's consistency and flavor was great ! I actually wish there was more rice than fish! What? No, okay not really...but that rice was THAT good! They have delivery options, but we went with a pick up order. Easy transactions and parking is along the street. Not in a hurry, but I definitely would order from them again.

I ordered pickup two weeks in a row now and must say they're becoming my fave Japanese place. The sashimi (on the chirashi) was generous and good quality for the price, and the tsukemen was rich and super umami. For my second try I ordered extra noodles because there was quite a bit of dipping sauce to go around. I also loved their omakase don. Plus the chef was nice enough to add free extra tuna tataki for me to try that day.

I have been there several times. Each time I had a nice experience with the restaurant. The person that handles the to go orders is very nice and friendly. The sashimi is quite tasty and they have fun sides to eat as well such as tempura and gyoza. Some of the sauces are a bit on the salty side for me but it's not a big deal. I haven't tried any of the ramen or grilled meats, but I'll definitely come back in the future to try other items.

Not opened for dine-in yet! Take-out by phone/DD available. 20 min wait once my order was placed. Pretty quick & efficient! Hamachi Kama 5/5 +not overcooked +paired sauce is not too salty +super yummy Short ribs 4/5 + tastes just like how you imagine Korean short ribs should be - was a tad salty for me Spicy Miso Ramen 4/5 +soft-boiled egg +thin noodles (personal preference) +/- miso broth flavor was alright + tender meat Chirashi bowl 4/5 +great price point +good quality sashimi for the price - rice: wish it was regular sushi rice, it had pieces of cooked salmon mixed in +/- read another review that said the pieces of sashimi were small so 2 pieces = 1... but I think I like how it was bite sized LOL - 5 types of fish (wish there was more variety) + fresh wasabi served(?), didn't look like the ones that are squeezed out from tubes

I'm so happy I found this place upon recommendation from a friend! We got their takeout ramen, chirashi bowl, and fried oysters. All of them exceeded my expectations and I would yearn to come back next time I'm in the area! The spicy miso ramen had so many thick, tender pieces of pork (four to five). It was the first time I thought ramen was filling because of the meat and not just the noodles. The fried oysters and chirashi bowl were also amazing. The fish was fresh and delicious! I regret not ordering their combo where you can add a side of fish to your ramen, but I'll be sure to do that next time.

Putting aside the slight irony of being named Tom San RAMEN, but only having two ramen choices (Spicy Miso and Tsukemen), this place is solid for its sashimi. Specifically, you can't beat the $38 sashimi omakase for value and freshness. I believe they're somehow related to the various Amami restaurants, which are also known for their reasonably priced, fresh sahimi omakase. I'm not sure if they get busier later on, but service was friendly and prompt. I called on a Saturday at 4:30 pm for a 5:30 pm pickup. I arrived at 5:20 pm paid, and returned at 5:30 pm and it was all ready to go, along with a complimentary seafood salad. I'm not sure if it's the Spicy Seafood Mixture on the menu, because it was sweet and zero spicy. But, it was still a nice accompaniment to our sashimi meal.

They have an awesome chirashi combo deal with really fresh fish, such as salmon, himachi, and even slices of chutoro. It's on a bed of rice that's mixed with cooked salmon, so that made it really interesting and flavorful. There's also a small side of negitoro in the chirashi combo. We ordered a small unagi donor the side too, which is great for anyone who doesn't eat raw fish. Parking can be difficult though, since there are many other businesses/restaurants within that block. The lady on the phone is super nice as well. Make sure you tip them! I hope they make it through the pandemic, since they've been doing an awesome job since they opened.

Best chirashi sashimi deal around! Fresh fish, fresh wasabi - what else can you ask for? Called in for pick-up order on Saturday around lunch time as I was finishing up around Westlake. It only took about 15 mins and service was super friendly. There's currently a 10% discount for the chirashi sashimi combo so the total is $20.65 after tax. Definitely leave a tip if you can :) My only gripe is parking around the area but that's just because I'm unlucky and always have to circle a few times...

Where is the 6 star button? This post was written during the Pandemic and so far I've ordered here 3 times the last 2 months. Once everything opens back probably going to be here often. The 3 times I've ordered here my order kept getting bigger. First it was just the Chirashi Sashimi - My favorite Second Chirashi and the Chicken Kaareage Third Chirashi, Kaareage and the squid All I can say is that the Chirashi is my favorite. You can taste the fish. Not sure how to describe it, but if you know that taste you know what I'm talking about. I mean it's a sin to compare the real thing from Japan, but this to me is the closest thing to what you can taste there, from personal experience.

I highly recommend this establishment, prompt and friendly service along with great fresh tasting food. I hope one day we would see all containers switch from plastic to paper to save our planet earth .

I almost don't want to write a review because I want to keep Tom San a secret haha! I ordered through the phone for pickup and they had my order ready once I arrived. I ordered the 20pc Chirashi, Uni Don, and King Tamago. All of this was only $35!!! Not only are the prices amazing but the fish is literally so fresh! The pieces they give you are so generous and they even give real wasabi here! I'll definitely be back & I can't wait until they open up indoor dining!

Tonight was my first time ordering for pick-up from Tom San Ramen. PSA: Please support your local businesses if you want them to survive! Craving fresh sushi, ordered the 20-piece chirashi (comes with miso soup) and the 2-piece Blue O-toro nigiri. OMG! So refreshing and hit the spot. The chirashi ($21) included bite-sized pieces of salmon, tuna, white tuna, hamachi, diced toro (?) tartar. Everything was SO fresh! The quantity was perfect and I prefer quality over quantity. Tonight's chirashi was served over perfectly seasoned sushi rice mixed with salmon flakes. Also included fresh wasabi, a shiso leaf, and shredded daikon. Most chirashi bowls tend to be rice-heavy. Tom San Ramen uses a very reasonable rice:sashimi ratio. I also love the flavor of shiso and made a tiny wrap with it, filled with the tartar/shredded daikon and lightly dipped in soy sauce. Delicious! (Also appreciate that they use fresh shiso leaves to add color to the dish, instead of fake plastic green haran.) The Blue O-toro sashimi was equally fresh, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Ordering (phone) and pick-up were easy. Call them directly to place your order if you're doing pick-up, helps reduce their fees to 3rd party apps. They have a set up inside the front of the restaurant with plastic/plexi-glass and enough space to serve one customer at a time (socially distance on the sidewalk if waiting to enter). There is a cup on the table for hand sanitizer and separate cups for new/used pens. Ordered at 5:15p on a Saturday and it was ready for pick-up in 20 minutes. Easy parking right in front of the restaurant. Please tip if you can - helps the kitchen staff since they're relying on deliveries and take-out right now, especially as a mom/pop restaurant.

My husband and I visited last weekend because we had a real craving for fresh sushi. And boy oh boy did we get it. Even thought it's take out only the presentation of what we ordered was beautiful, the fish was fresh, and the service was amazing. I love toro and they had an assortment of fish to choose from. The salmon was so amazing it just melted in your mouth. We live 60 miles away and happen to find this place because we went to Mori Point. It was so delicious we will visit again this weekend. For the product they are serving the prices are on point. Can't wait to go back to see if they can do a repeat. Definite recommend!
