This is one of my favorite restaurants in Orange County. The food and service are always 10/10. Today on Mother's Day I had a 1pm reservation for my mom and I. We arrived a bit early and were seated immediately. I understand the crowds for Mother's Day, but we were definitely being rushed. We sat around 12:55, immediately ordered drinks and were prompted to order immediately. We hadn't looked at the menu so the server left and came back about 3 minutes later. We ordered our food just after 1pm and it came out just after 1:10. So incredibly fast that. Too fast. We were trying to enjoy our day. When we slowed down eating (but didn't have empty plates) we were asked probably 3 times if we were done. We ended up staying to have more beers and order dessert. In the end it was fine but we felt as though they maybe overbooked reservations and were trying to turn tables. I have never felt like this at Coastal kitchen in the past.
I had asked for a quiet table in the back of the dining room in a booth by the kitchen. While we were seated in a booth it was along the glass windows and was so noisy we were unable to hear my elderly father who finally just gave up trying to talk as he couldn't be heard.

Honestly, very disappointed, food was decent, but had a bowl of clam chowder that you couldn't put less soup in if you tried other food was good but not for the value. Service was very mediocre. Had to ask several times for items missing.

The food is consistently fantastic here! The best crabcakes I've ever had: lump crab instead of a bunch of fillers! I can't decide on my favorite dish as everything is fresh, quality, and delicious! Also the best key lime pie I've ever had! I LOVE the decor as well!

We sat outside and it was a little chilly. Not the fault of the restaurant. Our food was quite good- porch chop and ahi. Fried cauliflower was a bit boring and under seasoned. But all in all a nice experience.
Coastal Kitchen is a reliable favorite of mine. The menu is wonderful - lots of selection. It's my “something for everybody” kind of place. I've tried almost everything on the menu & the rib dinner is my very favorite. I've been there with friends, family members and guests when they come to town. Everyone is always happy! My only criticism is it's way too noisy. Be wonderful if there was a solution for that!!

A lovely lunch for three on the patio on a Monday. Food was delicious, including salmon and both salads (every salad is great...can't go wrong with either of the five choices). Service was fantastic (just didn't catch her name). The best of everything was the smoked trout dip...a must for lunch or dinner.

Excellent food. If you ever like the pork chop you don't want to miss theirs. Steak is very good as well. There's salmon is done perfectly. And the beet salad is in a League of its own. Don't find that very often. Highly recommend this place. Really nice people too. Even Gen Z's seem to follow the rules
The food was exceptional ! I ordered the crab dinner with mashed potatoes. It did not disappoint! As always the chef prepared the freshly caught crab with perfectly balanced seasoning . The temperature was perfect. The wait was very long and passed our scheduled reservation time. The noise level made it very difficult to hear each other. It was a Wednesday night so that was surprising. All and all we would return because of the incredible chef and delicious food. We will try and earlier reservation time. .

Very nice lunch; pleasant atmosphere very pleasant reception and service. Excellent food preparation! Chicken Caesar and cheese burger both exceptional, well above average in quality and taste. Price point for lunch on the high side with burger and salad entrees over $20 each.

The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The server we had was great and very helpful. Could know the menu better. The food was a hit and miss. The Crab cake salad was awesome you got to try it. The chicken club was also very good. The prime rib I had was very chewy and dry.
We absolutely love this restaurant and love the staff. It never disappoints. If I were to find anything wrong with it, it gets very loud at night and I find myself shouting over the dinner table to be heard. Halibut. Tuna. Tacos. Beyond delicious.
