I have to admit this place used to be so good but now, After waiting for 45 minutes I give the food 0 out of 5!! Everything was undercooked! The service was horrible, 2 kids trying to serve more than 7 tables and no napkins, utensils or drinks! We also ask for tortillas and they got to the table 30 minutes after our food. We asked to speak with the manager to let them know about our experience; surprise ! It was one of the kids serving the tables, also when we were expressing how our visit was, he started laughing like it was funny with the other kid. Service 0! Out of 5. No ambiance at all!

Been eating at Jon's just about as long as it's been open. Had the Alaskan Halibut today. It was superb! Very casual, nothing fancy, but you can buy better seafood anywhere around. I often take some smoked salmon home. I'm a regular and plan on staying that way.

This is the REEL DEAL! The best fish and chips spot I found, since I’ve been around!

A true staple in the community, we love Jon's Fish Market! Have been coming since we were kids and it's always a good time to grab some fresh fish and chips and take a stroll on the harbor with the pups.

Everything about this place was EXCELLENT!! Price, selection, quality, beach-shack ambience. I'm from New England and I know fish. I'd come back here daily if I could!

I have been going here 25 years, love it! But, yes, just 1 but, the dog thing is out of control and stupid, everywhere. I don't want to eat with dogs. If people want dogs at their table while they eat, do it at home. I don't live there. But all these entitled people that think it's OK to bring your dog into a restaurant or grocery store, knock it off! And my favorite place Jon's, definitely should not have dog food on the menu. I have always had dogs, and love them, but I also have respect for others.

The food here is GREAT, however, the service and management SUCK!!! Came in when there were 2 other tables, ordered a 2 piece fish meal with fries…waited way over 30 minutes for the food and every single table that came in after us was served before us with WAY more food ordered than what I ordered. Then we get brought the check before we even got our food. LOL!! Management definitely needs fixed and they need new staff unfortunately. Definitely not going to be able to keep up and stay in business with the renovation if things aren’t fixed.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Dana Point. Locally owned and established many years, the food was amazing! I had the New England clam chowder and it was buttery, silky and filled with yummy clams! Then into the 2 piece fish and chips for dinner. Delicious! Expertly fried, the batter was light yet crispy and the fish was perfectly cooked.A can of Guinness was the perfect match. And all served by a friendly and professional server named Connor. Overall I highly recommend this place.

Googled a place I could take my dogs to and looked at the menu, hours, pricing, etc. Menu looked good, hours on their Google page said they were open until 8 so we decided to go there for dinner.Arrived about 6:45 and was immediately told “we close in 15 minutes and all we are able to serve is fried food or take out” our response was “so like fish and chips” - the response was yes.Decided that might work sat down and ordered, n o menu was offered. Food was ok, service was ok but we were shocked at the price when the bill came - $21.40 for those fish &chips. Since there was no menu offered so we could see what we would be charged we were a bit annoyed. We showed our server their website showing it was $15.40 for that same meal. That was a big difference. The response from our server was that prices had gone up and they have not updated their website in several years. Obviously not his fault but not a great business practice. They also need to update their Google business page with correct hours so people know when they can expect to get a meal there. The cole slaw tasted like rotten cabbage, the breading on the fish was thick and tasteless and my friend was served about 10 fries and I was served a huge piles of fries. No consistency in portion sizes. We noticed several people after we sat down that were turned away. You should take the time to keep your online presence up to date and when asked you should have honored the advertised price on the website.I won’t be going back… so disappointing for something that looked so good to be so awful.
