I had the maitake mushroom salad and it was so good and so filling. The blue cheese dressing tasted like I remember blue cheese from pre-vegan days. My friend's fauxjito was fabulous.

Great food, a bit on the expensive side but ok with us. Great service and very friendly staff. Restaurant is loud and noisy, we couldn't hear each other conversation on the same table without yelling. I am gonna hold off making any cozy dinner rsvp with fiends until this get fixed. Looking forward to it. Really love the food.

New favorite place! The staff are the most friendliest people and the restaurant itself is so cute. I love the decor and table settings and am in awe of how delicious the food is. The mac and cheese was unbelievable. I couldn't believe there was no actual cheese. My maitake mushroom sandwich was perfect. I loved the mushroom, the sauce, the slight sweetness of it and the kale salad was great to pair along with it. The strawberry cocktail had fresh strawberries from their garden out back and I loved it. My husband loved his burger as well. I cannot wait to come back and try the other menu items. Perhaps, we'll come back for dinner next time :)

I've been vegetarian for almost 13 years now and I am SHOCKED and SURPRISED that there is a plant based restaurant in Danville! We've come a long way!!! It used to be so hard to find a vegetarian option at most restaurants... so the fact that there's a dedicated plant based restaurant in Danville and it's busy, is absolutely amazing! Love to see it!! We made reservations here as we were a party of 8. The restaurant is super cute and has a nice ambiance. Loved all the decor. Outside looks nice to eat too! The staff are really nice and helpful too. We came for Sunday dinner. It seems to get really busy, so I recommend making reservations. I think the menu frequently changes so make sure you're looking at the right online menu if you're looking at the menu before going. We ordered: -The mermaid: loved this drink! It was super fun to pour and it was yummy -Maple glazed brussels: it was good -Mac n cheese: we really liked it -Crab cakes: it was good -Bread plate: some pieces were good, some were ok -Mushroom chowder: good, tastes like real chowder (in my opinion) -B*R smash burger: we really liked it -Tofu katsu sandwich: I ordered this and it was good, but a little dry -Lemon chia pudding: this was good! -Chocolate oreo s'more mouse: we really liked this I think we ordered some other food but I forget what we got. Overall, the food was good and it was a great option for meat eaters wanting to try plant based food. It was a bit expensive though and I felt some of the food was a little dry. We really liked the desserts! I'm not sure if I'd come back because the price seemed high for what the food was, but maybe I'd return again! I definitely recommend trying it out though! My sister said the kids menu was probably the best kid menu option she's ever seen at restaurants! It was healthy & yummy! Definitely recommend going here and supporting them!!

Amazing food, great service and beautiful ambience. We didn't make a reservation in advance but were seated within a reasonable time frame. I absolutely recommend B & R smash burger. It was crafted to perfection. From beginning to end, everything was well prepared and service was unrushed and personable .

Food was very yummy! The Mac n cheese was my favorite. I'm picky about mushrooms but I ordered the mushroom soup and it was amazing. Definitely recommend to all the bay area vegans

Blossom and Root offers a delightful dining experience for those seeking plant-based cuisine within an aesthetically pleasing ambiance. Situated in a quaint setting, the restaurant's rustic decor adorned with floral accents creates a charming atmosphere that is both inviting and visually appealing. The menu boasts an array of vegan dishes crafted with care, each presented with an artistic touch. The mushroom chowder, "crab" cake, bucatini puttanesca, veggie burger, and desserts were amazing. The wine and cocktail list is also quite satisfying.

Good food, Essene service, and nice ambience. It is in the front of the old Danville hotel my daughter and I had a great meal there. It was wonderful to know that everything was vegan very pretty presentation, and good food.

We were met with a young girl whose job was to seat us only to roll her eyes when she realized she had to work again and literally told her family she was talking to "ughhh I have to work again." We came with my newborn husband and 5 year old were very excited to try the new restaurant that replaced the restaurant we loved. My daughter was very excited. I just had a baby and finally had an appetite again. The food was ok I was hoping for more flavor, portion size was really small, we had the feeling that we were being rushed as we were eating because the waitress kept taking our plates or asking if we were done as we were actively eating, we had really bad stomach pains throughout the night until the next day.

Went to Blossom & Root for the first time and was thrilled with the experience. Our server Hanna was knowledgeable, friendly, and didn't rush us to order or leave. The food was presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Everything was generous in serving size and thoughtfully prepared. I'll definitely go back for another fabulous meal.

I never would have chosen a vegan restaurant as a go to as I'm a carnivore. But for a very special friend birthday I found myself faced with all Vegan dishes of brussel sprouts, root vegetables, mushrooms, and an extraordinary chocolate moose made with gods knows what All fantastic and beautiful in presentation as the picture attest. The presentations were out of this world. Just really works of art. The star of the show was the Curry. Steph would have been proud. I was skeptical, bt now I'm a convert. Fantastic staff and location in beautiful downtown Danville

What an amazing addition to Downtown Danville. The food, service and ambiance are absolutely incredible. They offer a plant based menu and have a penchant for transforming fresh produce into the most delicious creations. Their beet carpaccio for instance - mimicking a meat carpaccio involves taking thinly sliced red and golden beets and plating them with fresh fennel, freshly crushed nuts and ginger tahini. My favorite on the table! Their mushroom burger was perfect! Using not portabello but pieces of fried enoki mushrooms. You can request it with a gluten free bun. Another highlight of our meal were the crab cakes also made with varietal mushrooms and the chocolate smore dessert. Literally could have tried the entire menu! Would definitely return for brunch - they said they were working on a brunch menu.

I am *obsessed* with this place after only one visit. Came for lunch with an old friend and instantly hooked. One of the most delicious meals I've had in a while with unique items and ingredients in both food items and cocktails (rose by any other name was delicious). The service was excellent - our gem of a server on a Friday afternoon was so patient and kind as we asked too many questions and asked for too many opinions. We ordered the "crab" cakes to share, and each had mushroom chowder as our main. It took me well into the meal to confirm whether this is a vegetarian or vegan establishment, because the creaminess and texture made me assume I'd gotten it wrong, and it was actually a vegetarian restaurant. Icing on the cake is that their food is all prepared in house and seasonal, no fake chemicaly vegan replacements for dairy/meat! Can't wait to return My ONE complaint: I have been trying to take my fiancé here for weeks and they close way too early any night of the week!

I'm not sure about the ambience or the service because I ordered this through Caviar. The food was delicious. The fungi sando was probably one of the best I've had so far. The oyster mushrooms were still very crispy, a great match with the coleslaw. The bun was toasted on the outside and soft inside. The sauce balanced the sandwich perfectly. I also enjoyed the mushroom chowder. The broth was thick and creamy. Love the flavor. It had a very fresh taste as if the mushrooms were just recently picked and the crispy of bread was the perfect dipping tool.
