We went here for the first time when a friend picked the restaurant to celebrate her birthday. Food was good, but not spectacular. Service was good except birthday girl did not get her drinks or food first. What I really did not like was that they were only willing to write one bill for the group, they would not charge us separately. I also did not like the 3% of the bill added for employee “health benefit.” I avoid restaurants with this charge, so I won’t be going to this restaurant again.

Decent food. Good service. For family and also for business. It’s not super intimate, but good for a weeknight. The margaritas are huge!

My wife and I sat at the bar as the place was packed. We were told it was reservations only at the moment, so the place is definitely popular on a Friday night. We ordered the street tacos and pozole. The pozole was delicious and hearty. The tacos were also tasty and filling. The pozole was so much better than the last time I had eaten here and commented this to our server. A new chef has brought more spice and discipline in the dishes being made which has resulted in delicious dishes. For dessert my wife and I had tres leches cake, churros and coffee. All were scrumptious and as sweet as heaven. I will definitely start coming here more often.

Large diverse menu. Food is pretty good but I wish it was a bit more flavorful.Service and ambience is great. It has a lovely atmosphere and we saw multiple birthday groups. You can see the cooking area as you enter which is fun.Churros were quite good so were some of the appetizers like molotitos. Tacos were good but there are better tacos available in the area.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and GF options availableParking: Parking available for restaurants in the areaKid-friendliness: Kids menu, friendly staff

This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. Our server Brennen was fantastic and very attentive. Our food could not have been made quicker, it came out less than ten minutes after we ordered and it even came before we got our drinks, even surprising our server. The tacos were fantastic but the churros were the real highlight. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful setup , food left me disappointed. The carna asada was chewy and almost impossible to eat. Flavors were not developed ... almost seemed like the regular chef was replaced by an amateur cook. Shrimp Diablo's sauce was spicy but not flavorful. The soup of the day didn't come with the usual complements( avocado and cheese)

Food and service is excellent, attention to service and quality of food is amazing. Seating, Bar and ambiance setting is of high quality. One star removed for how the menu is priced, you can easily spend over $200 for 3 people, and that is on Mexican food that does not have any special ingredients, where similar dishes cost half what Cielito charges at other good Mexican restaurants within the Danville.

Great place to host a private event and amazing food and atmosphere. Enjoyed DJing there for the company party in 2023.

The chips and salsa are pretty standard tasting. They have a happy hour but only inside the restaurant, not in their patio. They made me a cucumber mocktail which was pretty ok. It was basically limeade with cucumber in it. The chicken Flautas, steak taco, sopecito, chicken picadillo and chicken enchiladas were all fine. The ceviche was incredibly fishy and was the one thing neither of us could take more than a bite of.

Wow wow wow! Esta muy delicioso!Everyone in the party was happy with everything we ordered. They went over and beyond what I expected. Who knew you could find really awesome Mexican food in Danville?! This place beats my favorite place in Concord.Let's talk about the deets.Food:-Flauta app - was so crunchy. The coleslaw on top was so light and tasty with a citrus dressing. Leaves you craving for more.-Pollo con mole negro- two whole quarter legs so tender and moist. The mole was on point, thick yet smooth with complexity. -Chili verde - also so moist and perfect balance between salt fat acid.-Kids carne asada plates had legit beef cubes. Cooked to perfection. Standouts:- rice - so fluffy, moist, and you can actually taste the tomatoes. Best Mexican rice I've eaten.- house made corn tortillas - so moist contrary to the typical dried out ones. You can really taste the corn. I usually skip the tortillas but this was worth every calorie.- churros - fried to order. Crispy outside, moist inside. Perfecto! Came with delicious caramel and chocolate sauce. There's no better way to end the meal.Service:Such a friendly and attentive staff. You definitely feel the family owned aspect of this restaurant through the level of service. Ambiance:We couldn't believe it felt like eating at a fine dining restaurant with very affordable prices. My other now former fav Mexican restaurant in Concord was clean but interior was run down. Similar prices though. So the beautiful modern interior was definitely a treat. My whole family left feeling like we found our new fav Mexican joint in the East Bay and we can't wait to go back. Mucho gracias!
