Your food truck came out today to Kohl's and about 12 employees ordered your food. I ordered your lobster tots and immediately was sick and threw up. Everyone else ate as well and were nauseated and the food didn't sit well in their stomachs. I want to report this to you as you immediately need to check your food your oil, your lobster, etc! Fish can be very serious when it makes people sick. Your portions were also very minimal for your prices but to top it off it made me and my co workers sick. I will be sure to report this to BBB and will let people know what happened. First & Last time customers!

There living off the little bit of fame they gained off the food truck thing. AI grew up in New York I've had alot of Lobster. With that being said I have wanted to try this truck since I saw them on T.V and belive me the truck playes their accolades the hole time your waiting to place your order. I ordered 2 Connecticut rolls and plain tots The Lobster was flavorless and over cooked eat your shoe and I'm not sure how you mess up plain tots but they did. Outside of the 21 club in yuba city 2 Connecticut rolls and plain tots 60 bucks save your money and make yourself a tuna sandwich. Out of 5 1.5

This was my first time trying Cousins and I was very happy with the food! We got the lobster tacos, Connecticut Sac special (warm roll with tots and a drink) cup of chowder and a red velvet whoopie pie. The total came out to $63 so pretty steep for a food truck but we were pleased with the taste and quality. Customer service was excellent and we didn't have to wait too long. Nice and clean truck, professional ambiance. I'll definitely order again if I see them around town!

While it's convenient to have a lobster roll near you, this place is only ok in my books. I ordered the Connecticut lobster roll with extra butter and New England clam chowder.Lobster roll: Nice helping of claw meat. Bread was soft but cold and there definitely wasn't extra butter. I would have hoped for a warm toasted roll since it looks toasted. Chowder: Very runny for a New England style.App: Great for ordering ahead. I arrived 10 minutes early, let them know I was there, and my order was ready when the app said it would be. My biggest issue is that the app forces a 5% minimum tip. I'm all about tipping but tips are voluntary for customers and this is unethical. You really need to rethink your business model if you're relying on tips.

Came across this place on IG on a friends page, and decided to give them a try since i had time off today. The gentleman who was taking orders at their stop in arden arcade area across from cal expo, was very friendly and super quick on taking orders. It was maybe a 10-15 min wait even though there were 4 orders before me. I picked up my order and was told everything was in there. I didnt bother checking since i had to get to my next appt, but the drink upgrade i paid for, i didnt get. It was a little dry to eat with no drink but the food was GREAT! I forgot to take a picture of the Connecticut roll but the quesadilla and the loaded/covered tots were delicious. Great amount of lobster meat (mostly from the claws...little more chewy)I will def be back again.

Cousins Main Lobster has stopped on University Avenue a few times I've worked there. I've patronized them twice. The first time was before 'rona. It sucked to not be informed that the woman two people ahead of me in a very short line ordered 25 rolls!! Delay of 40+ minutes! This last time was better. I asked if they had large orders ahead of me. Nope. Just one roll. Great. The man asked if I'd like to try the Sacramento Special (add tater tots and canned soda for $3). Okay. Good portion of tots, not much to dip in, selected ketchup. Good variety of canned soda. The Connecticut Lobster Roll is supposed to be served warm with butter and lemon on a New England style roll ($23). It was warm but I did not receive any lemon, didn't taste like lemon, and the meat and roll lacked butter taste. Always check your dang food before walking away even if your dang arms are full of crap (stuff). Oh, and the majority of the meat was from the claws. It is lobster meat but it is much more rubbery texture. I'd like to drop to 3 stars, but they shucked the lobsters, cooked it, and filled me up.Edit: business replied sharing meat is cooked in lemon and butter. The photo menu on the truck shows a slice of lemon next to the roll. So it's 100% natural that I expected to receive a slice of lemon. When paying a small fortune for a meal, you should get what's seen in the menu photo. This isn't a package of stuffing at the grocer that has the label warning, "Serving Suggestion". :)

I recently went to a food truck event and I am a seafood lover for sure..my guests and I ordered 3 lobster sandwiches..One we ordered was cold came loaded with lobster and a lemon slice the other two we ordered were warm ones. The bread was good and there was plenty of lobster..The issue was the flavor the lobster tasted old. Maybe it was in the freezer to long or was in the refrigerator too long..All the sandwiches were the same not the best flavor when it comes to lobster. They also came with taters that were delicious for sure..,but the lobster being over 20 per sandwich should of tasted better..I hope other people had better experiences, because I do love lobster and food trucks!!

I first got the chance to try Cousins Lobster when they went to our apartment complex. I didn't read too much into the reviews and gave it a try. Food was great. Cost is definitely high for a take-away meal but I mean, it's lobster. I wouldn't expect any high-quality lobster to be cheap, and we can't make this at home. My husband and I always go for the warm lobster rolls and a clam chowder. It's just pure satisfaction having a mouthful of lobster and the buttery buns. We have been doing this once a month if the truck happens to be in San Mateo after our office hours.

Tried the lobster grilled cheese and clam chowder. The grilled cheese could have been toasted and crispier but the flavor of the lobster was good overall, the clam chowder I give a 5.5/10 slightly on the thicker side and not as flavorful as I would have hoped. For the prices, the food is good but I don't think I would try it again.

The Cousins Maine Lobster food truck was at the Folsom, CA, Costco today. Yay! Ive had the lobsta rolls from this Sacramento food truck before and they were delicious. But it's been awhile... over 4 years since. So of course after loading up my shopping haul, I had to beeline to the truck to check it out. They had my fave, Maine roll. I ordered that, it was delicious. Better than I remembered. And better yet, 10% of the proceeds was donated to the Children's Network. The menu had a variety of items. But I ordered the Maine roll. It had chunks of cold lobsta served on a grilled New England roll that had a light mayo spread. I could barely taste the mayo which was fine with me because I wanted to take in the flavor of the lobsta . It didn't disappoint. It was sweet n meaty. Delicious. Great quality. Nice big chunky pieces of meat. Gorgeous coloring. Firm texture. It's served chilled with a generous sized lemon wedge. I did squirt that onto the meat. It elevated the pure flavor of the lobsta . Mmm. But I did unexpectedly bit into a couple bits of shell. That slowed me down a bit as I devoured the sandwich. The wait to order wasn't to bad. Since my sandwich was served chilled and that was the only thing I ordered, I got my sandwich immediately after ordering. It's a significantly longer wait for the cooked items. Pricing is on par to current market rates.

If you haven’t had a lobster roll in Maine you don’t know what they’re supposed to taste like and this isn’t it. Cold chewy lobster that tasted like it had been frozen and thawed served on a soggy piece of toasted bread for $24. No thanks.

Ordered 2 Connecticut rolls ($23 each) and tots with lobster tail ($19). With tax, it's a total of $71. It's very good, I won't lie but the size of the roll, I think tiny doesn't even justify it. In order to indulge the flavor and the amount you paid for, you gotta eay slowly and take only small bites. But in reality, it just takes 2 or 3 bites to finish it. 3 stars because of the portion and price. Good experience but won't come back. I'm sure I can enjoy some other food that I KNOW will fill me up that's waaaaaaaaay less than $70.
