We had our Easter meal here, and it was fantastic. This was our third time, and every time we have been there the food has been outstanding. We ordered from the prix fix menu made especially for Easter for $65 per person. Find the menu below. Every item we had was amazing, and the portions were quite large. I have had all of those foods before but nowhere near as good. The best part, though, was Andrea. When we mentioned we were heading to Italy soon and asked how to pronounce "Grazie", he actually sat down with us and gave us some phrases to say, tours to go on and what foods to order. He was awesome! I realize they are new here and have some kinks to work out, but I really believe this could be an incredible addition to our awesome town. I'm hopeful the community supports it. Antipasti Burrata Prosciutto San Daniele prosciutto, Fioruccio burratta, EVOO, XX balsamic syrup, garlic crostini Primi Risotto di Zucca Organic butternut squash, arborio rice, onions, butter, cream, vegetable stock, toasted breadcrumbs, touch of nutmeg Secondi Scottadito d'angello Sonoma lamb lollipop, poached chilis & garlic, sauteed red chard, roasted rosemary potatoes, salsa verde Dolci Cannoli Sweet ricotta cream, chocolate chips, pastry shell

Great food! I was too nervous to eat inside because it was packed. Outside was nicer. If the seating can get sorted out, it will be perfect.

Slow service. Modest food at high prices. Automatically add 20% tip plus 3% credit charge fee. Place is noisy and wind runs thru the restsurant

Wow! A trip to Sicily! I brought my family to Isola Osteria for a lovely dinner and we were so pleased with our evening. Although we had to wait a little for a table, the host gave us some complimentary glasses of wine to sip as we waited for our table. The cocktails were delicious when we were sat, the bartender must be extremely experienced! Our server and the entire staff took great care of us, even on a fully booked and chaotic Friday night. The noise level in the dining room is quite high, but the energy is very fun and makes for a lively evening. The dishes were fantastic, so flavorful and authentic. Although it was noisy, we had to wait with a reservation, and the energy was a bit chaotic, we had a fantastic experience eating tasty food, experiencing great service and enjoying our time together. Highly recommend!!

I was excited to go to a new restaurant in Danville . We arrived and it was busy . We first had the person who seated us I believe he was the host put knives on our table The host was the only the one who bused the table and was working very hard . We then had another person try and take our drink order . Then a waiter took our drink order and at the same time asked what appetizers we wanted and what entree. I don't know about all of you but I hadn't even had a drink yet or looked at the menu . That was strike one . Rushed !!! We ordered 2 apps , burrata and aricini balls . Strike 2 we never got the rice balls told our server and we didn't even get I am sorry . The burrata was very good but the garlic bread with them was hard a a rock . Thankfully they had brought bread to the table with a yummy dipping sauce so i used that . Well here come the entrees . I got the pappradelle pasta meat ragu My husband got the swordfish . The swordfish was so tiny , rolled and dry . Very unappealing looking on very wilted spinach . The size could have been an appetizer and no presentation. I felt so badly for him !! My pasta was bland and overcooked. It was hot which I like but the pork bones in it ruined the dish very fatty and the meat did not fall off of the bone . Every time I think about this dish I feel Nauseous. They need to make it without the bones and let the meat stew for way longer , maybe even short rib ragu !!My husband even said the sauce was underwhelming! We did love the Tiramisu. I never even saw the waiter again . Someone else left us a bill , not even in a bill cover . No one came up to us to ask how we liked it ! We are complete foodies and have excellent taste in food and we both are great cooks . This was a bomb on my part for date night ! I think a apologized to my husband like 5 times . There are many other excellent Italian restaurants in Danville that I will continue to go back to but unfortunately not this one . Please improve your staff , and most of all your food and its presentation. You have a great location in Danville now match it with quality .

Food was okay. The service is extremely slow. Price is pretty high considering the quality of the food.

Isola Osteria is the current talk of the town. In the old Sliver pizza place, they completely gutted it and built a cute, romantic, and charming eatery. Only open 5 weeks, they're fine-tuning and working out the kinks. Outside, about 20 tables, and inside, about the same. A wee bit on the loud side, but that just adds to the wonderful vibe. A small 6 person bar seem to always have a couple of spots for walk-ins, but otherwise, RSVP's are strongly recommend. I want to commend the service. Lots of staff workin' it hard, and all so nice. We ordered wine and cocktails, and enjoyed the au gratis braided sourdough with a delicious dipping sauce, evoo, balsamic, garlic, herbs. The bread was not warm, but still, great. We also ordered the Porchetta al'Forno [$27, 4.0 stars] -- oven roasted Heritage pork shoulder, sea salt, rosemary, pork jus and oven roasted rosemary potatoes. Tasty for sure, but not tender and I've had better many times. The gf ordered the Casarecce Trapanese [$23 + $8 prawns, 3.0 stars] -- sundried tomato and bronte almond pesto, basil, tomatoes. Frankly, no flavor and bland, and she sent it back. Wonderfully, they brought her 2 of the Ravioli Porcini Trifolati made with sweet onions, rosemary, white wine cream sauce...totally delish [5.0 stars] -- that, I would order time and time again. We'll be back.

Bottom line it's just ok. Very loud. Great bread and dipping sauce and beef carpaccio is really good. Porcini raviolis are just ok, not a lot of flavor and the linguine with Clams are mediocre for the price. Both my husband and I had martini's but because they were shaken not stirred they were 2.00 more. If you are going to charge that at least fill it to the rim? I don't think we'll be going back.

The food is top-notch at this place. Andrea, our server, was very efficient and personable. The waitstaff was very attentive, keeping our waters full and bread resupplied when needed. The cabonata was melt in your mouth delicious. We got the lamb shank with polenta, the swordfish, and the cioppino. All of them were delightful. Andrea recommended the bomba cioccolato and it delivered, so rich and delicious. We will definitely be back.

Last night, my girlfriend and I visited Isola Osteria for the second time for what was supposed to be a pleasant dining experience. However, our evening was marred by the abysmal treatment we received from the host, whose behavior left us feeling neglected and disrespected. Upon our arrival, we courteously stood in front of the host stand, waiting to be seated. Despite making direct eye contact with the host, he blatantly disregarded us not once, but twice. The first instance occurred when he chose to seat a group of individuals who arrived after us, clearly prioritizing them over us. While this was disappointing, we were willing to overlook it as a simple oversight. However, what followed was utterly appalling. As another couple, who arrived after us, approached the host stand, he once again looked past us, pretending as though we were invisible. It was as if our presence meant nothing to him. The blatant favoritism displayed towards certain patrons, presumably regulars or acquaintances, was unacceptable. I am not sure if it was because we were a younger asian couple and didn't fit the ideal patron. Feeling utterly disregarded and disheartened by the host's behavior, my girlfriend and I made the decision to leave. We were left with no choice but to seek hospitality elsewhere, ultimately celebrating our anniversary at Tides Danville. It's important to note that this review is solely based on the host's abysmal service, as we never had the opportunity to sample the food or experience the overall service of the restaurant. However, a restaurant's first impression is crucial, and in this case, it was utterly dismal. As a resident of Danville, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of basic hospitality exhibited by Isola Osteria. It's disheartening to witness such behavior in our local community, and I have no intention of supporting an establishment that fails to uphold even the most fundamental principles of hospitality.

First time there to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Service and staff was all around fantastic and the food was amazing! Andrea, our server, did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend this establishment. Thank you for a great experience, we will definitely return..

We had a delicious lunch at Isola today. The service was on point. We had the Frittura Mista, Cefalu salad with shrimp and Casarecci Trapanese with shrimp. FANTASTIC we will definitely return again.

We were excited to try this restaurant, a friend gave me a heads up that the food was good but they were still working out some areas of servicing. Our experience was a bit mixed which is understandable for a new restaurant. I am giving them a benefit of the doubt star, if I had a similar experience from a restaurant that has been around for a while I would have given a 3. When we checked in we were not asked if we wanted to sit inside our outside and we came early so there was ample seating in both areas. We sat for what felt like a long time and then bread and water came, the bread was a nice perk with a nice spicy oil based dipping side. They we waited a really long time before ordering. We ordered the tomato based and prosciutto burratas to start and both were ok, the portion size was good but both were not as tasteful as I have had in other restaurants. I don't like to oversalt things but both could have used some salt. My son and husband ordered salads, the Isola (tuna) and rughetta and both were well done, nice portions, fresh and very tasty. For main courses we had three pasta dishes (gnocchi, clam linguine and Casarecce Trapanese) and my husband had Grigliata di Pesce. The gnocchi and Casarecce were good (3.5), the clam linguine was literally tasteless, the clams were ok but the broth seemed to be pure oil and there was no seasoning at all, it was one of the worst servings of clam linguine I have ever had - adding garlic, pepper, salt and maybe some red pepper would make a big difference. The Pesce dish was very very good, it is one of the pricier items on the menu but very nice portions of seafood and items to complement the seafood. As far as service, the host and servers are all incredibly nice but they seem too busy and there were a few small misses. Drinks came at different times and one came after we were done with appetizers and salads (it was just a coke). There was a long wait before we ordered and a longer than expected wait before appetizers came but then dinner came pretty quickly after we completed appetizers. These are minor issues but it does seem they are a little short on waiters for the size of the place, the wait staff is working very hard to make it work. We will be back and I know it will get better and better.
