We were a party of 5 and all ordered different items. We loved them all from the clam chowder to the snapper. Must try their desserts! The bread pudding was our favorite. We will be back.

The food is excellent but the service is haphazard and lackadaisical. It’s a shame because the atmosphere, food and wine are great.

A must try! The scallop risotto is absolutely amazing! The salmon was delicious. Drinks are special. The punch bowl is the way to go. Soooooo good! Our waitress, Kayla, was attentive and knowledgeable. She made excellent suggestions. She made our experience that much better. The manager, Melissa, took the time to come chat with us and make sure all was well. The pastry chef knows what she's doing. Best carrot cake I've ever had. Super friendly staff, great ambiance. We might be back every weekend.

The seabass was phenomenal!!! I absolutely loved that and the lobster. The gnocchi and broccolini tasted like soy sauce based- very salty. Ambiance was nice, we loved the decor. The service was good.

This place has a great atmosphere, decor and location. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. We only had appetizers and decided to not order anything else. It is pricey for what you get. Hoping it gets better.

I took my Mom to dinner for her birthday there a couple weeks ago. A perfect place for celebrations. The ambiance is beautiful, the plate presentations WOW you, and the food is delectable. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and felt so welcomed by the hostess, Janet, who continued throughout the evening making sure our waters were topped off, taking care of anything we needed with a big smile, helping to make our dining experience perfect. Our server was gracious knowledgeable and fun, taking such good care of our birthday celebration and the food was excellent. We all had the Chilean Sea Bass which is a luxury and hard to find! It was cooked to perfection. A perfect place to go for all celebrations. A great time was had by all thanks to the crew at Tides.

My girlfriend and I were very excited to dine here being a new restaurant in town being I have lived here for past 15 years and wanted to support this new place . We walk in and no one to greet you so I thought maybe the front desk went to sit someone down but no one showed up for 10 minutes and the workers just was walking passed us without acknowledging us. So we left and went to another spot where we were greeted and didnt feel like a couple ghosts standing there to be seated . ... 2 Stars for the ambiance or else I would give it a zero stars.

First off, a really good place for a romantic date night. Not too loud, lighting isn't super dim, but dim enough to create a classy mood. Service was also super attentive and nice! They do check in on you, but at least not when you're in the middle of eating/chewing. Which...bless that. Now for the food. Appetizers were crab cake and clam chowder. The crab cake was spot on, presentation was amazing, taste was perfect. The clam chowder is probably the best I've had around this area. It's close to Santa Barbara's Lure Fish House as far as silkiness and smoothness goes. For the drinks, we got the Peach Spritz and the Tropical punch. For the same cost at $10 per drink, not sure why the peach spritz was so small compared to the tropical punch. That said the tropical punch was pretty good. Tart and sweet at the same time. If anything the peach spritz was more tart which was weird. For the entree, my fiancé got the scallop risotto and I got the lobster tagliatelle. I tried a bit of the scallop risotto and it was cooked perfectly. Not overcooked at all or undercooked for that matter. It was creamy and delicious. The lobster tagliatelle was the same too. The sauce was delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly and there's a good amount of lobster which is awesome. Definitely suggest those two dishes. Then for the dessert, we got their Chocolate Delight. Basically it's dark chocolate mousse, chocolate tuile, brownie crisp, and coffee ice cream. The only suggestion is the tuile could be crisper. The edges were crisp but the center of it didn't have the nice cracking sound as you normally would have. So probably needed a bit longer to crisp up. But the taste was on point. The coffee ice cream was amazing. Not icy and was pretty smooth. The main dessert was also really good and pairs well with the sea salt on top. Overall really good spot for food. Drinks maybe can be passed on next time but with service being awesome too, I can see myself coming back for a fancy date night.

Overpriced for quality of product. Service terrible. For appetizers ordered the shrimp cocktail and the seared scallops. The shrimp cocktail tasted like frozen old shrimp from Costco. Disappointing when you consider they cost about $5/shrimp. Seriously contemplated ordering the seafood tower, but glad I didn't. The seared scallops tasted good and probably the only good thing on the menu. For mains, ordered the Chilean sea bass and the lobster tagliatelle. The Chilean sea bass brought me back to my childhood in an unexpected way which sorely missed the mark. It tasted like a piece of frozen cod straight out of the Gordon Fisherman's box. The sauce was bland as well. It definitely wasn't sea bass. Again very disappointing especially given the price $44. The lobster tagliatelle was atrocious. The waiter highly recommended it stating the pasta is homemade. The pasta was think and doughy. The sauce tasted terrible. Overall in edible. Again very disappointing for the price $46. For cocktails ordered the Pom-rose-martini and the calypso old fashioned. The cocktails were good. We ordered and drank these with the appetizers. There was a long 1.5 hours wait time between the appetizers and the main entrees arriving. The waiter seemed to have disappeared. Ordered another cocktail which never came. Saw the waiter much later in the night after finishing dinner and ordered dessert. Decided to give up on the cocktail at this point. Waited another 45 minutes for dessert to arrive. The apple bread pudding was gross. No real apples; instead freeze dried chunks of apples used. There was supposed to be in a salted bourbon caramel. No bourbon and tasted like cheap smuckers caramel out of the jar. Ambiance- the restaurant was very loud and bright. They had a large group of people sat on the side further back in the darker area and couples trying to have an early Valentine's romantic dinner in the middle under the bright lights. Definitely not on my repeat list.

Came here when visiting my parents and while the ambiance is stunning and everything is clean, they're a bit slow and staff seem unorganized. We made reservations but weren't seated until 45 minutes after. As compensation for the tardiness they offered us "complimentary" bread... come to find out the bread is free regardless, not to mention over baked; came out cold and tough. The food is decent but not worth the price considering two of the three main courses came out cold (assuming they were waiting for the scallops because that was the only hot dish). The squid ink parp does NOT have any squid in the actual dish (which it is photographed in one of their photos on yelp, but not listed in the menu ingredients). The desserts were, and usually are, the best part of the meal. They're a bit small for the price but delicious nonetheless. Don't really see myself coming back as there are plenty of other seafood spots around the east bay and I didnt feel the meal was worth $250.

It was my bday so my gf suggested this place. Food was pretty good, but service was just ok. Nice ambiance and classy decor. I showed up several mins after my gf, but the waiter never came by to ask what I wanted to drink, so my gf had to wave him down to take my order. He also took a long time before he came back to take our order for food. It was not that busy when we arrived, so not sure what the hold up was. The seafood tower barely had any seafood. It literally was just a few pieces of shrimp, oysters and clams that were super fishy and tasted horrible. Cocktails were not bad and dessert was delicious. We order two desserts and server put a candle on one, but not even a complimentary dessert with a happy birthday on my plate. I saw some yelp pictures that someone posted with a nice happy birthday writing on the plate.. Guess it's really up to the server if they care to make the customer feel special. Jo
