Before the pandemic, there was an Irish pub in Davis which I loved. It disappeared and for 3 years the space was vacant. Until Bull 'N Mouth finally opened its doors. The good thing is they preserved most of the previous decoration and even furniture, which was gorgeous. So in terms of ambience and decoration this place has it all. The menu consists mostly of what I would consider re-elaborated bar food, with some interesting and original twists to classic dishes. I got a cheeseburger with fries and an order of fried green beans. The food was ok, but I have to say the prices were a bit too high for what was being offered. Something that I also found confusing is that a lot of waiters were standing around, without much to do, and yet, to place an order you had to stand up and walk to the bar. For those prices, the least they can do is come to your table and take your order.

This place is gorgeous but they seemed to be lacking wait staff.

This review is solely about Mason, the bartender. He was rude and unprofessional. He had a terrible vibe, made me and my date so uncomfortable we had our one drink and left. I don’t know why you work with the public if you hate the world. This place could be so cool if it had a cool bartender.

Service and atmosphere was amazing!! The chicken wings were good!!!! I’m not exaggerating….. when our food got to the table I took some garlic fries and dipped them in ranch and I thought I had Covid!!!! I actually started sweating from fear! The garlic fries and ranch were tasteless! I had to quickly try a chicken wing to make sure I still had taste buds! The ranch was watery and tasted like milk with dill in it. The fries were like shoe string Cafeteria food! The beer cheese and pretzels was not for me. Not sure if it sucked or if it’s not something I actually like! It was like whipped cream cheese with horseradish and the pretzel bites were not pretzels it was a toasted pretzel bun. Paid about 60$ for it all and then went to cains! I would definitely return to have drinks and chat with the staff! Staff goood! Food bad!!!!!!

My favorite weekly hangout, the smokehouse fries, beer cheese pretzels, burgers are so good. Number one ranch in town, house made with dill.

Incredible ambiance and friendly service. Not crowded when I was there. As you can see, nice artwork and vintage flyers from various campus events.

Good food, Shrimp Po boy was very good, Bar was very creepy and unwelcoming..especially for a city boy like myself. Thought I stepped back to future into Marty Mc Fly bar. 1800's vibes

This spot is definitely the best pub food in the area. There are many options for delicious burgers and sandwiches on the menu. I tried the beer cheese burger and shrimp po boy. Beer cheese burger: B Honestly I thought the burger tasted fantastic. Juicy patty smothered with a ton of tasty cheese, plus a sausage on it. The only problem is it's a mess to eat and there was too much moisture so the bun got soggy. Shrimp po boy: B+ This was a great sandwich, well balanced with flavor and texture. The popcorn shrimp taste great by itself and the rest of the sandwich is soft so it's easy to bite into. Fries: B+ Great texture and crispy exterior, salted well. A little too greasy for my preference so I can't eat the entire portion they give.

Came in for a Saturday evening dinner service and it wasn't very busy. The ambiance is chill and the service was quick, very nice waitress too. The food itself was great. Wish there was maybe some more bread/pretzel to go with the beer cheese dip, but still great nonetheless. Our burgers were pretty good (definitely more on the well done side, so best to ask if you want different). They were monstrous in size so plenty of leftovers. Great bang for you buck. And those fries are just killer. I think some of the ideas (peanut butter on burger, grilled cheese sandwiches in replace of each bun, etc), while I like the creativity, are interesting... nevertheless, great spot to eat. Recommend!!

Checked out this restaurant/pub place which replaced De Veres! Upon entering, there are menus on the tables and right at the entrance. You'll have to order at the bar area, they'll give you a number and then they will bring our your food to your table. Our food came out fairly fast and we had some time to enjoy our drinks. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita, definitely got me a little tipsy. Also, I have to say the burgers were solid but wish they have more appetizers--although the serving size was hefty! Our favorites are The Bull which had their special sauce and the Alabama Jama chicken sandwich! The popcorn shrimp was alright but try the Smokehouse instead! The restaurant was dim and gave off chill pub vibes where you can enjoy a nice dinner with your friends or sit down and have some beer

Fun spot to take a break between games! we forgot to take pictures lol! Enjoyed our trip especially this spot that "is not a dive bar!" And they pickle so many delicious things!!! Ask for everything they have pickled to try!

Once again, a delicious and delightful experience! The staff is sooo "on top of things", super friendly and fast! Today we tried the beer cheese pretzel dip in addition to our usual fab entrees (Popcorn Shrimp Po-Boy and a Hamburger - both with garlic fries)! Delectable! We LOVE this restaurant!

Amazing hamburger! If you want something out of the ordinary, get the Jiffy Burger. The peanut butter adds a creamy nutty flavor to an amazing cheeseburger.Waitstaff was awesome.

I came to visit my sister for the weekend. I was starving and she suggested Bull 'N Mouth. When you walk in, there is a sign that tells you to order at the bar. My sister and I both ordered "The Bull" burger with fries. We both requested for the burger to be well done. I love to see no pink in my burger and there was more pink than I would like. The fries were really good! I would come back and try something else.
