First time stopping to eat here, you have to find a park nearby. The sign says Tim's Kitchen. Inside was pretty clean and plenty of tables to eat. So many variety of choices on the menu even healthier item; brown rice, veggies, salad and chicken & fish; Salmon, Basa, Tilapia, Maui Maui etc. you can get grilled. They even have fish/shrimp tacos! We ordered the fish and chips. The cashier was helpful in deciding. We took a seat, and they brought out our food. Which was a good portion. The fish and chips comes with 3 pieces of Basa panko breaded fish and plenty of tasty Seasoned fries. Loved their tartar sauce and the meal was hot & tasty.

Went last Friday and 3 out of 5 of us got sick. The 3 that got sick all ordered the fried fish. Definitely wasn’t fresh! I was embarrassed because I took my family that was visiting from out of state and they got food poisoning. Very I use to like this place.

Standard p@nd@ expre$$ quality food but at much higher prices. A chicken and rice bowl, salmon plate, and short rib plate was $61 with tip. Way too expensive for paper plates and plastic knives, and the quality just doesn't meet the cost.

The menu is a little too ambitious and I think the food quality take a hit for that. Albeit, it's got a unique and cool menu and we'll definitely try other dishes to see how they taste.

Food was great, fresh and yummy. Location was in downtown and very well organized with a whole team ordering

Had the salmon plate without rice (I'm Doing Keto.) They doubled the veggies which were cooked perfectly, tender but crunchy, and there were2 pieces of expertly grilled salmon. My husband had the Salmon salad and was very happy with it as well.

I call and they don't have salmon bowls... with no idea when they'll have them. Terrible customer service every time I go in, they seem so irritated every time

Given the good reviews, my husband and I decided to try this place during our day trip to the Arboretum. The place looks like a pig with lipstick. They've painted it and put in new, cheap-looking chairs and tables, but it still feels old and run down. The menu and photos they have up are not appealing. The first thing that greeted us at the door was a large, school cafeteria sized trash can full of plastic to-go containers and utensils. We only ordered clam chowder because nothing else looked good. We received it in a plastic container with small plastic spoons instead of soup spoons. First, hot food in plastic is toxic (BPA, etc., etc). Secondly, using disposable containers for folks who are dining in is the opposite of what Davis is supposed to represent - environmental consciousness. And it's just gross. I would have gone to a drive-through Long John Silvers for that. Needless to say, the clam chowder was good, but for $6, how many clams can you actually expect? It was definitely more like potato chowder. I give it three stars (and not less) only because the employees were super attentive and friendly.

A decent place to eat for the college student. Reasonable prices that's a step above the typical fast food places in town.

Good portions, great taste, decent prices and plenty of healthy and savory options to choose from. Give it a go.

Great place to dine in. Not great for outdoor dining but the food is amazing. The shrimp burrito, chicken bowl and salmon bowl are full of flavor and big portions. Great service as well!

I have always wanted to come here as I always passed by this eatery. As college student living in Davis, I got a coupon in the mail for a Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer! This coupon literally got me off of my butt, and I ended up visiting yesterday night with my friend. Overall, it was empty when I came in. You order at the front, and you have the option to take out or dine in. We decided to dine in that night! We found a table ourselves, and they bring out the food to you. Even though we dined in, they still put the food in plastic containers. They also have free water cups and water infused with various fruits near the register for you to pour yourself and enjoy. I got three of their dishes: chicken katsu, grilled short ribs, and grilled salmon. Chicken Katsu - 3/5 It was decent. The chicken was not dry. I just love crispy chicken katsu, and it was alright crispy. It comes with a side of katsu sauce (that is not pictured). Not the best chicken katsu I have ever tried, but it was still okay! Grilled Short Ribs - 4/5 Loved the sauce the short ribs were marinated in! So easy to cut into and enjoy. Grilled Salmon (with Garlic Butter) - 4.5/5 We chose the Garlic Butter as our choice of seasoning, and DANGGG it was soo yummy. The Garlic Butter really shined in this dish, and the salmon was cooked just right. It didn't taste or smell fishy at all. I would definitely come back to get this again. It comes with a side of tartar sauce (that is not pictured). Definitely recommend dipping the salmon in the tartar sauce because that sauce further enhanced how delicious it was! Each of the plates came with a side of rice and vegetables. Most of the main meat dishes were placed over finely chopped cabbage (I believe?). I found the side of vegetables to be very bland, but they do offer sauce sides (ex. soy sauce, etc.). Apparently, they have daily specials so def want to come back to try those! Especially want to come back for the Grilled Salmon.

WILD about this place!! Every year we're at the Davis World Cup and it's not easy to accommodate everyone's palate. We discovered it because we were looking for a place to eat for my multiple food allergy kid. We were blown away by their variety of selections and how knowledgeable and careful they were about food allergies. Next day I suggested we go there as a team and EVERYONE LOVED it. It's delicious and healthy food, counter deli-style, prices are reasonable. We're from an area where restaurants are geared towards foodies and we have a diverse team, so for everyone thought this was a gem and now going back every year and recommending it to recent HS grads attending UC Davis.

This was a great surprise in downtown Davis. On this particular evening, the area was busy; there were many people out, and I was struggling to try and find a place that I thought could provide some good warm nutrition. I stumbled across this place and had great food and watched the World Series as I ate. This establishment seems a little bit like a college hangs out but that’s OK it didn’t bother me at all.

Large portions for the price. The food was satisfying enough -- the salmon on the salmon tacos was cooked well but the chicken katsu was rather bland without the sauce. Overall though was good value and what we were in the mood for.
