This restaurant has the best service and food! We had all you can eat. We had several international students who were not good at English. The server was very kind and patient walking through the menu with them. The food was so delicious, and more importantly, it made our students so happy because the taste reminded them of their hometown! One of the girls said she loves sashimi back in her home country; theirs is one of the best she has ever tried! I love the eel over rice so much! It has the presentation and the taste! Fried oysters were amazing, too! Tender inside and crispy outside, perfect flavored. Definitely a go to place for a yummy meal and great time.

ok, I had to come back here on yelp and write another review based on my experience tonight, Anna/Ana (im not sure how to spell it) was amazing honestly beyond amazing. She greeted us with 2 mins of walking through the door and walked us to our table. immediately she asked us what we would like to drink and dropped off our drinks and gave us time to look at the menu. she comes back about 3-4 mins later asking if we were all ready to order and we had gotten 2 salmon avocado and chirashi donburi and OH MY GOSH!!! When I tell you the chirashi don was TOO GOOD! the tilapia (Izumidai) & salmon (Sake) was my favv. Then our server came to check on us about two times during our meal and she was super sweet and even apologized for our first dine in experience here which wasn't even her fault. we will definitely be coming back Tuesday nights just because of our amazing server & delicious sushi!!! Also the portion for our salmon avo rolls were honestly pretty big compared to what I was expecting.

I've been here a few times and I'm not sure why I keep coming back. The food is just okay. And their customer service sucks. If you do an online order please make sure that you write down in Big bolt letters your confirmation number because they will never have your name. I will never return here again.

The rolls are great, I like it can tell how fresh everything is. The smoked salmon nigiri is amazing. You get your food super quick. We will definitely be back.

The service is good and the atmosphere is ok. There's nothing bad about it, but it's nothing special. The quality of the sushi is pretty much what you would expect from an all you can eat sushi place. It's expensive for what you get. I would rather spend the same on higher quality sushi elsewhere and eat less.

Waitstaff are incredibly rude and the food is mediocre. They recently changed their takeout procedure and the hostess was dismissive and ignored me when I tried to pick up my order at the usual spot. I used to order here frequently but will now take my business elsewhere.

Our family love this place. We have been there many times, food is always good. Only thing about this they keep it more tidy. It looks not so pleasant. If you are looking for some delicious food, it's good place.

Not the worst! This place is definitely known for their AYCE sushi and sides (~$35) and I decided to opt out while a few people at our table got it. I ordered a jalapeño roll ( ~$16; it was just okay, probably won't get it again). Fish didn't taste super fresh and it took quite a while for it to come out. My main complaint has got to be the service. I understand they can get super busy, but it felt like they were neglecting costumers a bit. To start, the people who ordered AYCE at our tables received their entire first round of sides and rolls well before I received just one roll regularly. I'm pretty sure they were starting their second round by the time I got my food. I later asked for a side of spicy Mayo when the waiter came around, I waited around 15 minutes and didn't receive anything. Had to ask again once I was able to get his attention to which he finally brought it out. It was generally really difficult to get anyone's attention; but again I'll give them the benefit out of the doubt since it was quite busy. Overall, if you're not getting AYCE don't come here when it's busy or just in general if you're looking for super high quality sushi.

We really enjoy this restaurant. Good service from friendly people. They even make a special gluten free roll for me to help with my gluten problems.

My partner and I eally enjoyed the dinner AYCE! We chose this place because it seemed like the only AYCE place in Davis that offers sashimi, and we didn't want to go wait until we were in the Bay Area for sushi. We got seated immediately on a Sunday night, and service was prompt and the servers were really nice. I feel like at a lot of AYCE places, the servings are really big, but here you can specify how much you want in each serving so you can try a lot of different options (For example, I could ask for how many pieces of tempura I wanted. Not sure if this applies to the rolls though). I tried a lot of the appetizers. The miso soup, combination tempura and the agedashi tofu. The fried options were piping hot and super fresh, but the shrimp tempura doesn't have a tempura coating, it's more like breadcrumbs. The batter on the tofu was really light and perfect, we ended up getting another order. The soup was good too, great on a cold night and refreshing in between other bites. I also got the Super California roll, tuna nigiri, salmon skin temaki and the salmon collar (sake kama). The star of the show was definitely the salmon collar; it was also really hot, cooked perfectly and had nice fatty bits. The Super California roll and tuna nigiri were great as well, not too filling but it satisfied a sushi craving, and the tuna wasn't fishy at all. Salmon skin temaki was good too, but it got oushined by everything else. My partner ended trying more raw options. He ordered 12 pieces of the salmon sashimi and 6 of the hamachi. Again, everything was really fresh, and the slices were really thick and generous. The hamachi was pink too, which is always a good sign. He also got a rainbow roll, and he liked that one a lot as well. Overall, it was super worth the price and we'd definitely come here again.

For the $30 plus person cost it was likely a good deal for the quality of the food. I say something was very salty and I like salt. Maybe the soy sauce? We asked for low sodium and it really helped afterwards. Service was like in Europe where a tip is "added" to the bill automatically. One waitress was good, the other waitress was distressed she had to wait on customers. Typical of the European tip included, "method" of business. Ambiance was average for a restaurant. There was an exceptionally entertaining animated television program displayed on a large-screen TV. I am not sure if it contributed to the overall atmosphere, but perhaps it did.

Honestly as soon as I walked out I puked. It wasn't pleasant. I guess the Asahi beer was the best part of the whole meal

I've been here plenty of times even before the name change, and have never been disappointed with anything off the menu. However, at a certain point, I discovered the crunchy johnny roll and that has been literally the only thing I get here ever since. I know it's Americanized type of roll but it's like crack to me. So so so good. Quality matches the price. Can't speak on the service since I haven't eaten in restaurant in like 6 years but it was good back then. Good place with solid food but if you like cream cheese and crab, I implore you to try the Crunchy Johnny
