Excellent pies! A little pricey but worth it. Service was great. Small but quaint place.

Bought some beef chicken pies. Very tasty. We also bought a bunch of goods. But we bought a tasty treat. It was granola almond slivers honey and a big portion of love ❤️ because it was so so so tasty. We spotted it as we were checking out. My wife just thought it looked good. We are going back just for the bars.

Amazing location and relaxing atmosphere. The tamales are a great plus! The only reason why I would shop regularly is because the same items of certain brands are available at Sprouts or Trader Joe’s for cheaper. However, shopping here would be great for convenience if you live in Davis.

Honest to gods the best darn pot pies I have ever had

Used to be obsessed with this place since it’s really close to my house but last few times I’ve been there I got a soggy beet, cheese that had gone bad (it was cheddar so it’s not like I tried something new and didn’t know what to expect), and my actual favorite stuff there has always been their merchandise which has gone way downhill in quality. I own at least 10 of their t-shirts and they recently changed to some awful brand that is itchy and fits terribly. GO BACK TO THE OLD COMPANY! What a bummer.Only even gave one star because their employees are still very nice and helpful. Stay away from the pot pies they are dry and freezer burnt. Pasty’s are freezer burnt too but at least they have some moisture in them.

I'd been to Ikeda's (pronounced I-Kay-Duh's -- I thought it was I-KEY-Duh but learned otherwise!) in Auburn a number of times to pick up a burger or grab a pie. I was delighted to find out that there was a location closer to me in Davis. Went there recently to pick up a pie for Christmas. No burgers at this location, but it was also MUCH less crowded than what I'd experienced at the other. They still had a good, though smaller, selection of pies, including frozen and fresh. The pies aren't cheap, but you. get what you pay for. Amongst the tastiest pies in the region. People were friendly, and I noticed that UC Davis students get a discount with student ID. If you're in the need for a pie, definitely check this spot out!

The pecan pie WAS my favorite, almost more like a nut bar with pecans throughout and a nice crust. For Christmas I drove to pick up a fresh pie and didn't balk at the price increase. But a full half is headed for the trash bin today. The nuts and runny surgery filling separated. Then to top it off, the crust stuck to the pan making it impossible to lift a slice out. Three stars are a nod to how good it used to be. If this was my first experience instead of my last it would be one.

Check your receipt before leaving! They double charged us, and while I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, $28 is very expensive for one chicken pot pie. Also good to know that they don't have dairy products like milk and yogurt.Otherwise, it was a lot of fun browsing this unique store for great produce and specialty items!

I just love this place and after I had personal help from one of the actual Ikedas on how to make a take home Pumpkin pie kit I feel like I'm officially on the 'In'. Now I feel like part of the Ikeda family since their pies have become a part of my family. That sounded cheesy but it's how I feel (tear) We've made going to Ikedas part of our regular routine coming back to the Bay from Reno/Tahoe. We love trying a few different slices of pie flavors over at the dining area and share with a vanilla cone before we settle on which pie we take home. We went a little crazy with the little chicken pot pies but if you buy 5 you get one FREE!! always so many fun snacks and goodies we can never decide but we do know we will be back again soon so if we don't get it today, we'll get it soon.

Best pies ever!

It is a great place to procure fresh fruits and vegetables..The bakery section is also great..However, I felt that the costs are higher when compared to supermarket stores like Walmart and Costco, which decreases their rating..

Great selection of fresh pies made daily for any time of the year, but particularly so for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
