Food was great, but service was terrible. our server took very long to serve us, and our food took a long time, but when a new party arrived. Their food came out in under 20 minutes and we had ordered the same meal.

Sat here for ten minutes with the bartender ignoring us multiple times. Only when we left did she acknowledge us. Terrible

Everything at Mamma for the most part is mid. Service is good and staff is very helpful, but there are a few problems with this establishment. The pasta dishes are uninspiring and bland. I got the rigatoni with vodka sauce and spent $5 to add a burrata. The burrata was nonexistent and I barely could tell it was in there. The pizza crust is good, but the sauces make the pizza almost wet and soggy. The salads are pretty good, and so is the bread. Every time I come here I wonder why I did because it is so expensive for the food you get. This place is good for parties however and is very accommodating for big groups. I wish the food quality matched the cool ambiance, service, and event space.

Online it says Enter on E but it's 3rd. 6:45 p.m. - bright lights like an operating room, (finally dimmed @ 8) which I think encourages the very loud talking. Some of the prices are a bit high, selection is reasonable. Both pizzas soggy on bottom because oven floor not hot enough. We know it's Davis, we're not mentioning what it would be thought of in New York, but it's not cheap and it just seems like nobody sharp was there running the place with their eye on the ball.N. O. I. S. Y !! (Abt $75, two small pizzas one appetizer one wine one dessert) Overall: acceptable in today's world but a pale shadow of its predecessor in the space

When I wrote my review about the food the other day I forgot to mention that I'd said it was my birthday when I made the reservation. My ride was late so they gave away the table but I said to the hostess I don't want to sit at the bar on my birthday, so we had a drink. It dawned on me that they never mentioned it, brought a sparkler said happy birthday or anything. This is amateurism, and they won't last if they don't get professional in my opinion. It makes the restaurant more festive if the other diners see a birthday being celebrated. It was busy but it was Sunday so it wasn't that busy

If i could give negative stars i would. I grew up in italy and i know poor execution of italian food when i taste it. This is an italiano disgrace. if i were to give it to my cane hed throw it back to me. Una vergogna. Heard they delete negative comments as well so i have a feeling they're well aware. Gordon ramsey would be inexplicably disappointed. Don't waste your money let the restaurant go under and hope we get a chicago pizza instead. Service was molto bene. The owners are clearly running the place into the ground.

Met up for a work dinner, atmosphere he was awesome. Place was pretty busy so service was slow, but the staff was extremely kind and professional. Food was good. I will definitely go back to try other things. Everything on the menu sounded amazing.

Mamma Eatery, although not the most authentic italian food, is great. Went here for a birthday dinner, and we got seated very quickly for a party of 6. It was pretty empty on a weekday, and the service was relatively fast and helpful. We had lovely waitresses, who helped us put on a secret birthday song and cake cutting, which was very special. Overall, the area is very large where customers can sit, especially outside, and we had no problem getting a seat. The food was delicious, our whole party enjoyed it.

Excellent pizza, reasonably priced wines, love the outdoor seating area. Great Italian wines, and thanks for adding the clams pasta dish

Absolutely love their beautiful patio! If you need to wait for a table, they tell you it'll be just a minute, but they forgot about us. Best to put your name on the list!I had the lasagna. It was quite good, the flavor of the sauce really stood out. Fresh sauce, and melt in your mouth texture where what made this dish stand out. Can't wait to try their other dishes!

First time visiting since this location switched over from Bistro 33, and we are SO glad we gave it a try! The outdoor seating is gorgeous and in such a prime spot of downtown, I’m so thankful to have another great dining spot to take advantage of, especially once the warm weather hits!Food was superb! We ordered the Milanese Chicken and Spouse ordered the Seared Salmon. Presentation was wonderful, but the flavor and quality of the food really made the evening. All staff were so polite, professional and helpful. Dessert was stunning and so delicious! Also noted there are quite a few Gluten Free/Vegetarian options on the menu, which makes me excited to share with close friends that have dietary restrictions.Absolutely cannot wait to come back!

This place was overhyped in my opinion. I went with a few friends but waited at the door for 10 minutes with staff walking back and forth in front of us with no acknowledgement while they were speaking amongst themselves at the bar. They don't try to make eye contact with you and avoid interactions. The chef came out and asked if we've been seated and sat us at a table himself. Needless to say, food was fine but the environment didn't feel welcoming.

We had reservations for 6pm on a Tuesday. We had requested a quiet area of the restaurant and unfortunately the entire restaurant is very noisy. We shared a bottle of Primitivo and split a Caesar salad. We ordered the seafood pasta and the pork shank. Our meal was well timed and delicious.

Craving Italian, figured we would try a local spot instead of traveling into Sac. The food was tasty, but not anything super special. The price was reasonable, though a little steep for what you get. Our table of two (two entrees+ 2 desserts) came out to 65 pre-tax and tip. We ordered Michael's Pepperoni and Rigatoni Alla Vodka with buratta. The pizza was good, thin and crispy. The pasta tasted fine as well, though the portion size was as a bit small for our liking. I would not add the buratta again, as it was 5 bucks for a small portion (see reference photo) For dessert, we opted for the crème brûlée and a tiramisu. The creme brûlée was good, finished easily, but the tiramisu was a bit disappointing. Personally, I prefer my tiramisu with a stronger coffee flavor and light cream and lady fingers. This one was very sweet, and on the heavier side. Instead of lady fingers, they opted for a cake? Like layers. All in all, would probably come again but skip the buratta and tiramisu next time.
