my fav and one of my go-to spots in davis! the food is consistently so satisfying and the portions are so big. i don't think i've ever gotten something that isn't good (and i come here so often) ... i love getting the bbq mix plates, loco moco and tonkotsu ramen. thank you for always having me!

NEGATIVES: (fyi photos of my review has been posted on doordash)- i honestly think they gave me the wrong order... the Tonkotsu Ramen was very very disappointing. the flavor of the broth resembled tantanmen instead of tonkotsu -- and even then, its flavor profile was so bland and overpowered w too much spice oil even tho I requested mild spice level. i did not receive ANY protein (no chashu, no soft boiled egg), i asked for no mushrooms and extra bean sprouts (and while they followed the "no mushrooms" part, they completely forgot to give me bean sprouts, much less "EXTRA bean sprouts"), the noodles were too mushy. i am never ordering ramen from tim's again POSITIVES:- on the other hand, their Hawaiian BBQ plates never disappoint - my favorite item to order is Half & Half BBQ Combo with Chicken Katsu and BBQ Pork.- the mac salad is very yummy!- the Musubi Trio is very tasty and offers a lovely variety of complementing flavors - the Downtown location has plenty of parking and is surrounded by other bustling restaurants!- very spacious and newly renovated interior- decent and timely service

I was really missing Hawaiian BBQ so I was very excited to come try! I got the BBQ chicken plate and it was BOMB tasty. The price was decent and they give you a lot of chicken for what you order. I loved the juiciness and sauciness of the chicken. The mac salad was also really good. Don't know how to describe it, but it was just really good, finished it within minutes!I got a lot of chicken which I couldn't finish at the restaurant so I got to eat my leftovers for dinner! One thing upsetting was that they wouldn't allow water cups, meaning you'd have to buy water if you didn't bring your own. I'd recommend bringing your own water bottle if you don't want to pay for one there.The staff is nice, the guy who gave me my food was trying to find where I was sitting so he could hand it to me but I got up and met him halfway haha. Very kind. I also like the ambiance in the restaurant. It's also right next door to a boba shop, so that's convenient if you're looking for a sweet treat after eating.

Tim's is a great spot for Hawaiian in Davis! I love their combos (BBQ Mix - which includes BBQ Short Ribs, BBQ Beef and BBQ Chicken, BBQ Mix w/ Chicken Katsu replacing one of the primary BBQ Mix items). I also tried their Musubi Trio recently! I love a classic spam musubi. It was delicious! The BBQ Chicken musubi was definitely different, and I need to try it again to make sure I like it. The Katsu musubi is definitely great if you're craving Katsu, but definitely a different taste for a musubi. Their establishment is very clean and organized. I really appreciate a restaurant that keeps things spotless, and Tim's prioritizes this. You can order at the counter or at a self service iPad.

Fast service. I love their $10 specials. They are so worth it and good for 2 people honestly. The interior is modern and well kept. I like their flavored water - today's was infused with lemon and cucumber.
Still have the specials, though they have gone up, they are still quite generous portions.

Don't ask me how many times I go per week on average...this is some of the best Hawaiian food I've experienced. They're fast, the fried chicken is always crispy, and I like their Mac salad. The downtown location has specials, and they're pretty worth buying. Overall one of my favorite places in Davis.
