Everyone else's food was good except mine so minus a star lol. I ordered ahead for pick up 3 appetizers and 2 main dishes about $95. Our food was ready when promised and packed well no leaks. Barbeque chicken wings were awesome. Both types of imperial rolls were excellent and still crispy even though I hit traffic getting it home and came with ample lettuce, herbs and sauce. The peanut sauce we liked the best. Clay pot Salmon was small but tasty. Jasmine tea was terrible I decided to spit it out and toss it after the third sip. Vegetable fried rice was lacking the " fried" aspect more like undercooked dry vegis tossed in leftover rice so I couldn't recommend that dish. Overall decent, a bit pricey but typical for that area.

This is a gem hidden in the Von's shopping center on Del Mar Heights Rd. It is such a great restaurant. It is family run and It feels like you are in someone's comfortable but nice home. I'm not knowledgeable about Vietnamese food. I can say that the food in general is just delicious. It's always wonderfully fresh and very tasty. I have ordered many things; all of which are done to perfection. It's probably best to make a reservation but if you don't have one, you can just walk in-they usually are clearing the next table just for you. The staff is kind and respectful and hard-working. They have wonderful photos of Vietnam on the walls. It's a warm and inviting ambiance. A small place with seemingly plenty of room. Don't hesitate-go and try this. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I face I think you'll love it and want to go back.

The ambience is nice. It's white and feels cosy in the evening. There was only one server who was run ragged most of the evening. I tried to order fried rice as a side but he said it was not possible only white or brown. I wanted to pay for it but he didn't seem to understand what I wanted. I ordered the lacque duck. It was supposed to be half a duck on greens with rice. They brought the remains of a duck. There was no breast, no wing and no thigh. It was a leg and a bunch of bones. You maybe would have made soup with it. When I asked the manager where the breast was he said it was cut up in there. The duck breast is large. There was no breast. They took half off that entree. The whole thing should have been removed from my bill. We actually got the breast BONE on the plate with no meat on it. We even got the NECK. Very disappointing. I would rather have been told there was no duck that night, rather than have been duped with the scraps.

Súper cozy. Very good service. Pho is delicious. We curated a few of their appetizers and shared a bowl of noodles. It didn’t disappoint. ?

This is not the best Vietnamese place in San Diego but it probably is the best one between Mira Mesa and North County. The shaking beef was extremely tender and flavorful, and the game hen was just falling apart and delicious. I liked the golden coins a lot and enjoyed experimenting with the ratios of herb and noodle to meat. Lemongrass tofu deserves mention as I love when I place does tofu well, instead of just sort of a placeholder item for the occasional vegetarian customer ( I noticed the menu has a large and varied vegetarian section, which is great and should be more common than it is). It's cooked for texture and has a delicious herbiness. I was drinking wine both visits and the wine selection is nothing special but completely adequate. The decor and seating arrangements are tasteful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Very solid place, and I haven't even tried their pho yet.

I wouldn't classify Le Bambou as super-authentic, but it offers a great mix of classic dishes (like clay pot fish, fruit for dessert) and homey fair in a way that's really approachable for anyone. We had the clay pot rice, which was excellent, the ground shrimp springroll appetizer, lychee, and vietnamese coffee. We also had another dish but I'm pretty sure it wasn't what I ordered since it was supposed to come in a spicy tomato sauce and seemed more like a non spicy tamarind, but it was still quite good even if I'm not sure what it was on the menu. The ambiance gets a 5/5 easily. It's laidback and quiet, with candles and low lighting. The goal was to find someplace we could have a quiet, slow date night with a nice glass of wine and this absolutely hit the spot. Service was awesome and it was a really comfortable experience.

Wonder french twist on Vietnamese food. The curry is wonderful. Shaking beef is one of the best Fila steaks I have ever had. Don't miss out on the fried rice.

I've eaten here a few times and has always been good but ordered the spicy chicken pho to go and it really has done a number on me. I am not one for usually leaving reviews but when one gets food poisoning from a reputable establishment it makes one question their sanitation practices (especially chicken?!) and Le Bambou has to take accountability for this. Will not be ordering from here again.
