Place has some of the best hashbrowns around. I ordered a santa fe omelet, pancakes, eggs and a strawberry crepe. Every item was cooked perfectly. The eggs were nice and fluffy. The bacon was crispy and delicious. Definitely worth trying out.Parking: Over 400 spaces behind Whole Foods.

The location was really convenient, and pleasant for a weekend breakfast with family. The menu was pretty extensive, with a good variety of breakfast options. The servers were attentive, friendly, and it wasn't much of a wait. However, the food preparation just wasn't that great, despite clearly using high-quality ingredients. I ordered their "Venetian Benedict" (which has spinach and mushroom, with bacon crumble on top, instead of Canadian bacon or ham). The English muffin was underdone, and the poached eggs were seriously overcooked. The hash browns on the side, which I'd asked for well-done, were at least sort of crispy on the very outside, but seriously undercooked otherwise. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was awesome, and the coffee was good (for restaurant regular-brewed coffee). My spousal-unit ordered one of their "baked omelets", which is kind of a frittata. It was over-whipped or something, causing the egg to have a tough texture, and it was overcooked. (A "build-your-own" omelet option would also be appreciated) Her side of pancakes (plain buttermilk) that we shared were great, though.Nothing was bad enough to send back, but it was overall kind of disappointing. We don't get out to breakfast often, even though it's something I really enjoy. I *might* give them another try, if only to try one of their Dutch Baby baked-pancake creations - we're in San Diego often to visit family. The menu is great, and maybe we just hit them on a bad day.

We came in from KC for the long weekend and visited the Del Mar location. Everything we ordered was amazing! Cesar is a pro! He was the only server on when we came in, and he juggled serving 5 tables upon opening, then more came walking in and he didn't skip a beat. Y'all had the best bacon outside of the midwest I've ever had! My kiddo ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and I had an omelet with hashbrowns and bacon. The presentation and food quality/quantity was more than what we were expecting for the price. I'm a server at an upscale midwestern restaurant and you dont get this kind of great food and service very often, anywhere. Awesome restaurant experience!

Great food and friendly staff. Give yourself some extra time to order some of their signature baked breakfasts if you can. Great upgrade from a typical diner breakfast, good number of tables, and parking garage behind Whole Foods for the shopping area.

My new favorite brunch spot. It is in Flower Hill Mall - super close to the 5 freeway off Villa de la Valle. They have a lot of room, you can sit inside or outside. Personally like the outside booths. The food is consistently really good and the staff is excellent. It is expensive but no more than every other place up here. It's crazy how much more it costs to go out. This place is worth it.

Great Place! They just added a new breakfast sandwich that is absolutely scrumptious!

This pancake house is like my home kitchen with a variety of choice every day...I wish the business hour can extend longer to 5 pm in the future if possible:)

I've always wanted to try Richard walkers, so I went last week with my family and I am sad to report we were all disappointed. I ordered, scrambled ham and eggs and it was a generous portion, but I was surprised how incredibly red peppery the eggs were. No red pepper in them just seasoning and it unfortunately just made it kind of spicy and weird flavored. I also ordered gluten-free pancakes and my dad ordered regular pancakes and he tasted both and said it was hard to tell the difference because neither of them were good. I have had gluten-free pancakes all over San Diego and these were some of the most bland ones I've tried. This was the Del Mar location, so I don't know if they're all like this, but I definitely have no plans to return.

The food is usually really good and not pretentious. Perfect eggs, bacon, hash browns. No parsley on plates and lip stick...just good food.
