Went in for a quick bite. Quesabirria was really good. Lots of consome for dipping. Will definitely be back

This review is for the quesabirria tacos. I am truly impressed with this offering. This locale's QB tacos measure up to the only other place in the Bay Area that has fantastic meat with consommé (Barbacoa beef in broth) called Naranjos Taqueria in Redwood City. It's not often that you see this type of quality offering in restaurants. The QBT's are great with the hefty-sized $1.50 consommé with which to dip and a small side of sour cream and guacamole. The QBT's are tasty, tender and fresh and were packed perfectly to-go. A wonderful addition to an area where a great restaurant is truly welcome.

It is an OK restaurant, foods are not that fresh. There is not that many restaurants in that area. Customer service is good and very friendly staff.

I enjoy the food here, but unfortunately had a bad experience recently. Ordered over the phone at ~7pm and was told it would be 30 minutes. Arrived at 7:30 and waited another 40 minutes. I get it, either they were very busy or understaffed, whatever. This is the first time something like this has happened. Order was for 5 meals/ppl so it was a couple of bags of food. I glanced through the bag looked right. Got home and noticed a super burrito was missing. Drove back, but since they were behind I got the food after 8pm (their closing time). Door was locked, weren't answering phones, but were there. I knocked for a few minutes, but was being ignored. No one came to the door. So... Basically paid for, but did not get all of my order. Take the time to make sure your entire to-go order is there before leaving. In this case it seemed it was, but I needed to look closer.

We live in the neighborhood so my wife and I wanted to stop in for a try. We ordered their birria tacos with the consome. It's $3.50 per taco and $1.50 for the consome which is odd because usually most places give the consome for free? I didn't like the extra charge. Their chips and salsa is delicious and of course complimentary. The birria itself is tender and juicy. There is enough cilantro and onions topped inside. We agreed that there wasn't too much flavor within the birria meat. It's slightly bland but still pretty good. The restaurant is clean and tidy but a bit too empty; maybe cause they're still new? They should add in more decor ans other things to make it feel cozy and authentic. This place is good and we'd love to come back again.

Food was bland and to make matters worse they wanted to charge me for salsa to go with my to go order. This was some real whitewashed "Mexican" food.

Best chili relleno ever! Carlos, one of the owners, was very friendly, polite and answered all our questions even thou he was busy at the time.

Great new local restaurant in town! The menu is clear and easy to understand what you want to order. Staff is helpful. I love that fact that you can sit out front and eat and watch the resident ducks loafing on the grass. It's just around the corner and easy to walk to and very little wait time for the food. The prices are comparable to others in the area.

First time here and I ordered the nachos! They were out of this world DELICIOUS!! All the flavors were yum and there was a good mixture of toppings. The meat (I got shredded chicken) wasn't oily or full of sauce to make the nachos soggy which I loved! All and all no complaints-will definitely be back for more soon!!

This restaurant does not serve carne asada, they serve slow cooked shredded beef which is okay but not what I had in mind. Food is just okay besides that. Salsa is good.

I was really looking forward to trying this place and excited it was in our neighborhood. We love Mexican food in our house. My husband picked up our food yesterday and said the restaurant was very clean and the people were nice. Our food on the other hand was a huge disappointment. We ordered the nachos as a "safe bet" and we couldn't even eat them as they were covered in too much soggy shredded chicken and beans and there was practically no cheese! The chips were far too soggy too. My red sauce cheese enchiladas were totally bland and the side of beans tasted like cardboard. I hated the watery flavorless shredded chicken that didn't taste fresh. The red sauce was bitter and bland. My husband said his chili relleno and steak tacos were about a b. The phone order got mixed up as we originally received chicken instead of the steak tacos he ordered so we called and had that item replaced. Unfortunately, we won't be back to this place. We'll stick to La Costa or Jalisco's in Brentwood.
