I was very delighted with how fast we were seated and served in spite of them being under staffed . Our food was fresh , hot and delicious will be going back. ❤️

I ordered the roast turkey dinner. Everything was great except the turkey. It was not roast turkey. It might have been canned turkey or compressed turkey but certainly was not roast turkey. It wasn’t worth eating. I was looking forward to roast turkey similar to Thanksgiving turkey. It was disappointing. I do not recommend ordering their canned turkey until they begin serving roast turkey as specified on their menu. Beware.

My experience at a Black Bear Diner up north in Monterey Bay was unforgettable over how amazing the food was. Everything was just right. As for this place though I'm saddened to say that it's not the same. THE FOOD: the food was one of the saddest things I've eaten in a while. So me and my dad went to this place and I ordered the BIGFOOT Country Fried Steak and 3 Eggs with hash brown and 2 biscuits and he ordered Meatloaf with Onion Rings, Corn Bread, and 2 Stuffed Baked Potatoes. Sure it's a big order but when I was eating it over at Monterey Bay this was light work for them. Now comparing restaurants is one thing but since they're both under the same name it shouldn't be excusable. The wait time for the food truly showed just how sad the food came out. My dish had hash browns burnt and it was even noticeable just by looking at it. My country-fried steak was as hard as a rock and even the knife that's supposed to cut it even had a hard time cutting it down to pieces. The gravy on my steak was THE weirdest thing I've eaten since it was jello which I've honestly never seen before in my life and some parts I had to even break down just to SPLIT GRAVY! Of all things to split I HAD TO SPLIT MY GRAVY into PIECES OF JELLO! My dad's food had bacon bits that looked more like chips due to how burnt the bacon bits were. His meatloaf looked more like a slob compared to actual meatloaf and at least it tasted alright, but nothing could have prepared me for what I was going to experience with my biscuits. When we think of biscuits it's a soft bread that we can put butter and/or gravy with it to make it even taste better. That's the complete opposite of what I was given. My biscuits were as hard as a brick. I felt like I could've broken my teeth by just eating the biscuits. I tried to make it better by making it into a sandwich with the eggs, butter, and hash brown but the biscuit was still as hard as a BRICK! The only good thing that was on my side was the eggs and the only good thing on my dad's side was the cornbread and the onion rings. THE BAD: the workers felt like they weren't even paying attention to how everything was going for me and my dad since it was awful. I did have a first experience with one of the workers. An older lady that was serving us was giving out our food and then she took off without a word and 30-45 seconds later she realizes that she forgot to give me and my dad utensils to even eat the food and I don't believe I've ever experienced that in my life but now I did with this restaurant. So not only do the workers look like they don't even care but they also were just chilling there at the front counter as if they've got nothing to do with this place. There were dirty tables all around from the back to the front yet these workers weren't paying a dime to care about it. Plates that were just left there and it took them almost 30 mins later or so to realize that "hey there's work to do". But even then it shouldn't take the LITERAL MANAGER TO COME OUT AND DEAL WITH IT HIMSELF! He has workers for a reason it doesn't make any sense how he's the one doing more work than anyone of his workers that were out there in the front. If this is the example he's giving out then why aren't the rest of them following? OVERALL: Either this place needs a better manager or better workers. Whatever the case may be this place needs to get better. Unfortunately, I was not able to check the bathrooms of this place but since I saw the workers just standing there doing nothing I wouldn't be surprised that the bathrooms are disgusting. I would advise people to steer away from this place until it fixes itself cuz it needs a lot of fixing.

very disappointed. Looks nothing like the cinnamon roll French toast. False advertisement, maybe next time

All these people waiting, And there are more than 5 empty tables. Once you get to the table, even if you're ready with your "simple order" there's more waiting to do. Absolutely ridiculous!! Who the hell is running this place?! They suck! Sorry not sorry. Food is good, service is ok, management is bad!

Last Thursday visited this establishment for breakfast. I had avacado toast on wheat with scrambled eggs and buttermilk pancakes with whip cream and fruit. My mother in law had French toast scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. My husband had the cinnamon pancakes with eggs and hot link. I wish I had ordered the cinnamon pancakes, the Buttermilk pancakes were delicious, however, those Cinnamon pancakes were exceptional. My mother in law and I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, they were smooth and creamy cooked and not over cooked had excellent form. Even-though we waited a bit, the service was quick. The restaurant was full. The food was very appealing and delicious.

there wasnt a wait to be seated the food was delicious but the service was slow so idk if it was our waitress because I noticed she was doing other things and the tables got empty.

Story time: What started as a pleasant breakfast out with my aunt turned out to be a stain on an otherwise enjoyable chain. Things started out fine with the wait being short. Ordering wasn't an issue. But once the wait for the food started, so did the problems. We didn't have utensils and the server told us she would bring some. She brought our food out after passing us up a few times and still didn't bring utensils. After 10 minutes of waiting for utensils, we asked another passing employee for some and she disappeared just like our server. Our server eventually came back with utensils, but they were not properly cleaned. Luckily when the other person showed up with utensils, they were. By now my aunts food had cooled down, the egg was now on the dry side. We tried to enjoy the food as best as we could and not dwell. The food was ok. We were never offered refills, but at a certain point we were just wanting to leave. We ordered food to-go for family at home, the wait for that food wasn't bad. We were surprised the server remembered to ensure some extra sauce was added, considering she had a tendency to disappear often. Things got interesting when the waitress started having a "if you anyone who wants to work, we are hiring" conversation with us. She joked about how easy the job was. Again, we acknowledged some of the weak service but it was still more laughable at the moment. Then we go pay. There was a older man gathering cash to pay before us. The woman tending the register, the same woman who got us the second round of utensils, had to gather some small bills for change. She was apologetic to the man and he was understanding. At first I was too, until she shafted me. I had been waiting to pay the whole time, very visible, and as I was about to step forward after that man was done another woman pops up from behind me, asking some questions about paying. The cashier starts taking her payment and I interjected, letting her know is been waiting. She told me she'd help me right after they were done. My aunt at this point got mad and just out the money with the bill on the counter. To be completely honest, I thought about just walking out and forcing them to have the conversation about property service if they would have followed me out. We had exact change in cash, we had separately tipped our waitress, and we just wanted to get things done. And the final kicker: we get home with good for my aunt's grandchildren. They left out one of the main components of the meal - pancakes. We were confused, even wondering if she accidentally presented the wrong item, but the bag has quite a bit of syrup. Nothing else in the bag would require any syrup... unless, of course, there were suppose to be pancakes somewhere in the mix. Pro tip: if you're in this area, visit the Signal Hill location instead.
