First time dining in and it was great! Did not wait long considering it was Father’s Day. Not going to lie, we did have to wait a bit to get our order in but it was definitely worth it. The service was great and the waitress was very attentive. Had to start with the guac and it was fresh and delicious. Entrees we’re delicious and provided a nice portion, enough to take some home in fact. The whole dining experience was great!

It was my go to restaurant until they tried to charge me 50 dollars extra for a “large party” when it was only 7 people and were fitted into a smaller table. The manager Guadalupe was very helpful resolving this issue however the staff made it seem as if it is a requirement to leave a specific amount of tip. They said 10 people or more equals the Large party fee they charge and if you spend 250 or more. Which makes no sense as it is a restaurant not a venue to rent. Disappointed I use to really enjoy this place. The more you spend the more they charge you.

I've been to other locations of El Pescador, but I must say, the Downey location outdid themselves! Our waitress, Lucia, was amazing, she was very attentive and overall just had a good, positive vibe! We came early to take advantage of the mimosa special. For only $4.99, it's very hard to beat! I'm a big carne asada guy, so Lucia recommended the steak picado and it was delicious! I will definitely be revisiting whenever I'm in the area, and I will be requesting Lucia to be my waitress whenever I do!

This was my first time here at El Pescador in downey. The service from Erick F. was great! The food was excellent. I loved the decor. Lunch specials were 12.99 for an extensive and great variety of dishes offered. I had the chili verde with rice and beans and my first time eating nopales. They were really good the way they served them. The dish came with fresh guacamole and choice of tortillas. I definitely recommend this place for the great food and service. The bar area looks really cool! Next time I'll check out the bar! Overall 5 stars, this place is excellent!!!

My husband and I have been coming to Pescador for almost 2 yrs. We keep coming back because of the great service, food, and drinks. We usually sit at the bar top. The bartenders Leo, Jesus, and Steven are the best. Security staff is great. The manager Christian is always very welcoming.The food never disappoints. The carnitas tacos are so good. Also recommend the fajitas campestre. If you go for breakfast the chilaquiles de mole poblano are amazing. We've tried most of the menu and have been very satisfied.At night they always have a DJ playing good music . It's definitely the place to go for good food/drinks and a great time.

My partner and I have ate here a few times now and usually love the food. Service is usually pretty good and the food comes out fairly quick. However, we stopped by on Saturday around 6pm. It was a bit busy but we still thought the service was okay. I ordered the Baja combo since I enjoyed the fish taco during my last visit. While eating the second taco something became tough to chew so I took it out of my mouth.. I looked in my taco and a thin food paper was fried with my fish. Inside the batter... I'm pregnant so this completely turned me off. We brought this to our servers attention and mentioned she should let the cooking staff know so they can slow down a bit. However, we think because it was so busy she did not care to do or say anything. Photos are from the last time we came.

I had such an amazing time here! The best service with Leo and Julian at the bar. I just came in late to wait for an friend while she was off work to go to bar Louie but we wended up staying here because the drinks were awesome and the service was better 10/10!
