Went it for my first time guy in the front was cool. Got the mango habanero steak bowl it was honestly so good. I don't know what people are hating on the steak was good and juicy and the portions seem good to me. This is my new favorite place. Going to try the other items chicken seems to be what people are upset about.

I used to really enjoy eating at this establishment. I would visit weekly for lunch. The food for the most part is still tasty and for a good price. It was not uncommon to see Firefighters there picking up lunch. But now, the restaurant itself is in poor condition. Understaffed - 2 employees behind counter. Unclean - eating areas/tables are filthy. The dining room is warm and stuffy. Its not very welcoming.

Finally decided to give this place a try for lunch. Staff was super nice and place was clean. Staff made some menu recommendations considering I've never been there before. Personally didn't think any of the food had flavor was super bland. Personally not my cup of tea and wouldn't visit again.

This past Friday I came here and had a horrible experience. Let me first start by saying that if there are ingredients missing and with no plan on making anymore, the workers should start off by telling the customers something along the lines of "...just to let you know we don't have ____ and we aren't making any more of it today." I've had other restaurants start off this way. It helps us customers either change our orders, plan ahead or even choose other food. So we order two chicken bowls. Upon choosing the ingredients, the workers scrapes and scrapes the corn and beans salad just to pour about 8 corn pieces and 5 beans. We ask "is that it? Or will more be made" Worker "nah man, that's all" (Ummm thanks for telling us ahead of time) and so the 2nd bowl doesn't get any corn and beans. Next we choose the Veggies... once again scrape scrape and barely anything for the 1st bowl. The second bowl gets nothing but 2 pieces of carrot and a broccoli. When I ask for corn I'm given half a spoon full and I do say "can I please get more since there is nothing else" he agrees. Price: WAY too much for half empty bowls Why are they running out of food and telling us no more will be made at 6pm??? When they close at 8pm??? Wait wait wait the story doesn't end there!! Came home and tore pieces of the chicken in half so I could feed my toddler and found that every other piece had PINK MEAT on the inside. I took out all the chicken and cooked it myself. Why did I pay over $20 for something I had to cook myself, properly????? Horrible experience and will not return or recommend.

They declined. I been to many fresh grillers and I’m familiar with the concept. The chicken is always burned and dry, and they took away half the menu including the quinoa. No more options of hummus and last time I went they only had kale. Is far from being like cava lemonade or those fresh comfort food places

First time here. The food looks so gross like it's been sitting there all day. The dinning room area was empty yet most of the tables in and out were super dirty. The table by the window was full of ants and the tables out side were dirty too. This is place is gross.

Use to eat at Fresh Griller all the time. Have not been since Covid and went today. A totally different menu and not as many selections. I got the 1/2 beef & 1/2 veggies. Every entree lacked seasoning. Especially the beef, it's like they forgot to season the meat. I most likely will not return.

Definitely not worth it the food quantity is small I was introduced into this place over 2 years ago, I loved it back then, curteous people, good food, bigger quantity and dessert at the end, Now none of that! I heard its a new owner.. He took away items, took away small and large pa ckaging,and they always run out of sauce now. Food is dry without it. The young boy in the front needs to work in the back, terrible greeter and he touches your salad continuously after he puts it in the small container!. $9.50 for a small container of lettuce n 2 small pieces of tofu. VERY small portioned food. Healthy food yeah,not so good customer-oriented servers. Bad experience last time, tried to give another chance but it just got worse!

I have been going to FG since it opened, but took a break for about a year and a half (not due to COVID). I did try going back once and saw they shut down during COVID, which is completely understandable. I just went back again today, at 11 AM, so right at opening time. There were two workers (which greeted and served me just fine) and what looked like two owners sitting at one of the tables. I ordered just fine, but at least two of the veggie options looked under cooked. Specifically the cauliflower, it was completely raw it seemed, maybe that's how it's meant to be, unsure. The cabbage seemed to be left overs from last night, which I get that certain things are kept from previous nights, but there was literally one scoop of cabbage left in the bowl. That bowl should have been swapped out and obviously refilled. Also, I noticed the inside was dark maybe one light was on in the entire place. And the drink area was in complete disarray, besides the drink machine being out of order the napkin area did not look cleaned up. Then as I left I noticed the eating area was dirty. There were at least two napkins in the floor and a table that had crumbs/food pieces on it. Overall, I felt like FG food was fine. The same I am used to. But seeing the lack of cleanliness or organization says a lot, especially when what looked like owners were sitting in the eating area that had clearly not been cleaned from the day before.
This place was marvelous. I'm a vegan myself and I found the staff and food quite pleasing. The bowls are made very beautifully! I'll definitely be returning. I've browsed through this restaurant's yelp and these negative comments are so unnecessary! If you don't like it, don't be forced to eat there. I've worked at lots of food places and these customers are just such a headache! Fresh Griller is amazing xoxo

Nice location and dining space... prices are reasonable. Bowls average 9 to 13 bucks per bowl. They have 3 menus one for vegetarian one for chicken and one for beef. I personally don't eat red meat so I did the chicken and it was very filling and flavorful. The mix of chicken aji sauce black beans white rice corn avocados corn and fresh veggies all a good mix of flavor. The drink menu is limited tea lemonade or water. But overall, not bad. Good for a quick healthy bite.

Food was absolutely amazing loved it will definitely be back however im seeing all these reviews about amazing service, and I wish I had that kind of experience but the employees made my experience uncomfortable I just hope the service isn't the same when im there next time

This place started out really good but now it’s bad. It’s supposed to be Fresh Griller but instead everything looks old like it’s been sitting all day. It’s a shame cause I really did enjoy eating here but I guess it’s the owners who don’t take pride in what they serve sadly.

The Fresh Griller in Downey California up until now was always a great place to eat. But for some reason, in the post covid era, it has turned into a piece of crap!! My wife and I just went to this Downey store and find out that none of the clerks know ANYTHING about this restaurant, it's food, nothing, because it's their first day. Although that's understandable to a certain extent, the manager also appears to know nothing about the products and they have apparently made significant bad and UNHEALTHY changes in their menu. Although I knew the chicken was really soy, as is common elsewhere, the new management has added way too much salt to the food, and even the manager doesn't know the ingredients that he has in the food. He was a TOTAL J*** just because I was asking about the ingredients since I have limitations in my food selection which IS EXACTLY WHY I CAME HERE! It's the WORST experience I've EVER had here, or really, anywhere in forever. My lovely wife, who NEVER COMPLAINS, said it's NOT ANYWHERE NEAR what it USED TO BE! There's nothing worse than a restaurant that changes its menu, it's ingredients, and NOBODY, INCLUDING THE MANAGER, has ANY freaking clue what's in the food, especially when it calls itself "Fresh Griller, claims to offer vegan or vegetarian or healthy food, and NOTHING IS FRESHLY GRILLED!!!
