Not sure why this place is so highly rated. It was just ok for me. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a champurrado. Service was ok, they were short in staff so they took a bit to give us our food, but the food was ok. Not sure if I will be going back.

The food selections/options are amazing!! Great variety, especially for a place with 100% plant-based dishes!

I have had Jackfruit tacos elsewhere that were tasty.this Gordita lacked flavor. The so called green Pozole was just too watery again flavor not there.

Great plant based vegan Mexican food. I've been here a few times, and it doesn't let down when it comes to great flavors popping with your tastebuds. I've had something different every time, and it's just great. The vegan asada is delish as well, I would invite those "non-plant based" eaters to come give it a try.Being honest, great food, but a little bit high on the price, but with everything going up these days not much we can do but maybe ask to have a discount day from time to time, or maybe a rewards program to lower price after certain orders, or a free entre after 10 ordered, something like that would be awesome as well. For now bring a date or the family and enjoy.

This is a regular spot for me. I love the Guacamaya wrap. All of the protein choices are flavorful and yummy and crunch is my favorite texture in food, so the Guacamaya wrap, formerly known as the crunch wrap hits the spot every time. The Chile relleno burrito is another favorite. It’s huge! (That’s what she said ;) ha ha). This can be shared between two people it’s so big. The cucumber chia aguafresca is our favorite also. The place is also very chic looking inside so appropriate for a date or a special occasion, and prices are very reasonable.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Guacamaya yet! My hubs and I have eaten here so many times, including the time it was in a strip mall. Everything is great...except the mushroom mulitas, but to be fair, I think that's because I was not a mushroom-person when I ordered them and since I was newly vegetarian, I was trying really hard to give mushrooms a chance. (To be honest, I'm still not a mushroom-person because slimy-mushy food is gross). My go-to order is the Pozole. The portion is big enough that I have saved some for work the next day, and it was still delicious. I tried the new Chile Relleno Burrito when it first came out, and it was way better than I expected. My current favorite dish is Abuelita's Gorditas with asada. Soooooo good. My hubs tried the new tamales, and we traded one for one today. They're good; the masa was a bit dry but still tasty.

Been here a couple of times. I've had their nachos, torta, burrito, ceviche & salad bowl. 1st of all unsure why their drinks are overly sweet with not much flavor. Just had their governador shrimp tacos and the tortilla was so oily and not crispy at all , just soaked in oil. The cheese had a very odd texture. All the ingredients were overly cooked. I took 1 bite out of each taco and threw the rest away in the trash and same with the drinks. Low quality weird ingredients today. So bad.

I was in the mood for vegetarian Mexican food so I gave Guacamaya a try. The team happily greeted me upon arriving. As this was my first time, I asked for some recommendations on menu favorites, so the Guacamaya wrap it was! I added jackfruit for protein. Inside the flour tortillas was a crispy corn trastada. The wrap was full of flavor. The vegan queso was a creamy consistency that boasts of real cheese flavor and Mexican spices. I topped off my meal with a hibiscus margarita, in a sugar rim glass. The inside felt like a garden oasis, the way it was decorated. The outside patio was full of trees and plants, continuing with the oasis vibes.

Yum! The Crunchwrap is my favorite from here, so yummy. Service is fast and especially if you order online ahead! Lots of seating inside and nearby a lot to walk around.

Vegan Birria tacos. I ordered on a whim and I was so surprised and so satisfied with the food. 10 out of 10!

4.5/5 stars: from a long-time vegetarian! I've been meaning to make it out to Guacamaya Oasis for a while now, but finally got to try this spot and it definitely lived up to the hype! I've tried several other fully vegan Mexican restaurants before (and I'm so incredibly glad more restaurants are opening up) and I have to say this was one of my favorite spots! The food: I've been craving tacos but the vegan tacos I had recently didn't really hit the spot, so I went up to the register asking for their most popular taco, and just ordered as recommended! The friendly staff said her favorite was the quesabirria tacos, so I just ordered the three on the menu. Post tax and tip, it was just below $19 for my order. My friend ordered the Chile Relleno Burrito, and we got to share a little of each other's order. The tacos came with onions, cilantro, and lime, while the burrito came with green and red sauce. My friend and I both preferred the tacos over the burrito, but not having tried meat versions of either order, I can't really say how'd they compare to their meat counterparts. But, truly, if you're not vegan or vegetarian and come in with an open mind, I'm fairly certain you'll end up enjoying the flavors, regardless of if there's any meat in your order! At least, this was the case for my non-vegan/vegetarian friend. I just wish they had an option to mix and match diff tacos, because truly I wanted to try a little of everything! But I guess that just means I need to make the trek back. Everything else: You'll find the restaurant located in a series of plazas in Downey next to the theater and a boba shop (Ding Tea). Note that the restaurant is not on the outer edge by the parking lots, but in the inner row. There's plenty of parking, but on a Saturday night, I had to make several circles in the parking lot maze before I found a spot. Service was fairly quick, and you order at the register. If you dine in, they'll give you a number plate and bring you your food, but you'll need to get your own utensils & water at their little self service area, and bus your plates back to the trash can when you finish! It's a casual spot and a comfortable dining experience. There's limited seating inside but also plenty outdoor seating.
