I was craving ramen and this placed popped up but I was disappointed when the spicy miso ramen arrived. It didn't have much flavor and it was basically just pure oil.

Hidden Gem, I'd say! I've been looking for a good teriyaki place in Downey but every place I went sucked. This place has good chicken and beef teriyaki! The bento box was also good so the food here generally is great, definitely above average. I'm surprised though that there aren't a lot of customers every time I visit during lunch time. I hope your business thrives. Food quality is great!!

We loved all the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. The food was excellent and our server was wonderful, can not wait to go back and try something new.
Love this place: been coming here for years! And now they have low carb rice less rolls pictured here and they are GOOD and it's also great because my mom doesn't like sushi and we can eat here together because they're teriyaki dishes are tasty too

Maui is my go to local sushi restaurant. Although service has declined a bit since COVID, the food is great. I typically order the baked salmon roll or the unagi roll and the sweet and spicy chicken. My daughter loves the udon here as well. I will always love the parasols on the ceiling. Such a unique touch of decor!

I've been coming here for about 10 years. My go to place for sushi, probably the best spot in Downey. Their Sky Roll is my favorite here in case you're looking for a cooked roll.

I'm a sushi junkie and know sushi pretty well, this place has really nice service BUT the sushi tastes like the kind you buy at Ralph's supermarket. Really bland, really sloppy, and both tasted like a California roll I've had bad sushi once before and when I told the server, the plate was taken and I was refunded. Here, unfortunately I was embarrassed to even tell the server, but I did and I ended up just throwing two (TNT ROLL and FUJI VOLCANO ROLLS) away and was out $53 bucks. I'm just trying to save someone else some money. Again, really nice service, but really bad sushi.

This is a place I call " A hole in the wall".Food is made fresh when you order, plus they have changed the dinning experience.Before, you'll walk up to the counter to order and wait for your food. Now, you sit and a server attends you! Feels so refreshing to have this new service experience.
