Breakfast for two with drinks came out to roughly 60 bucks. Very expensive for a “grab a number and sit down” type restaurant.Pancakes were burnt. You could not cut through it with a fork and butter knife. Breakfast potatoes were also very overcooked and could be thrown at windows to break them. The eggs Benedict admittedly was great. Eggs were perfectly poached, and the ham was good, but the muffin they sat on was absolute rubber.I got a vanilla latte here that was jolly rancher sweet. I don’t like my coffee like that, and asked if I could have it a little less sweet. I got told that’s how it comes and that I ordered a vanilla latte. I’d expect them to at least remake the latte at this price.I’d be fine with all this if it wasn’t as expensive. Beware. The food is visually appealing, but anything past the visual is not a great experience.

The cookies here are amazing. The lines do get a bit long at times and you sometimes have to wait a long time for your food.

I am a big fan of Denica's in Castro Valley and this is my first visit to their Pleasanton location and it did not go so well... They completely space out on my order and the food was just so-so... I hope they get their act together by the next time I come by... I am sure it was a fluke but, only time will tell... $30.43 for the Denica Scramble, Coffee (super bitter) , Tax & Tip

Pricey for a breakfast place! Nothing super special about the food. But like the free chips and dips. Although the line is long, service is fast.

This place was recommended by a friend. They have a relaxed dining atmosphere with extra perks (salsa and chips bar and cold beverage bar). Or they do pickup and to go orders. I had the James omelette special which was very tasty. With large portion sizes it could have easily fed two...but I'm a big guy so I gladly ate it all. They also have numerous pastries that looked very good. But with no room left I'll have to save those for the next time. The staff are also professional and very polite.

I stopped in almost by accident at 7am on a Saturday and was delighted to discuss Denica's. Lots of Hawaiian-included menu options and great daily specials. Good coffee, good service cafe style. Prices were higher than I thought but you get an absolute mountain of food and you get it fast. I ordered the King Kamehameha Loco Moco and it was no joke 3 eggs and at least 1.5 lbs of beef. I ate half and took the leftovers (pictured) home. Good spot for teens or hungry dads.

Omg, so so so delicious. I ordered the Avo Toast with a fried egg. Perfect for light savory meal with room for a sweet treat. Ended up leaving with the Passionfruit Supreme Croissant, it tasted even better than it looked. If you like coffee with cream no sugar try the Spanish Latte, they add just enough condense milk to NOT make it too sweet. The hubby ordered the Big Kahuna Sammich, also sooooo delish with perfectly crispy potatoes. My daughter had me take home some Big Boy Crepes, so decadent. A little pricey but overall a meal that did not disappoint.
