The food here is excellent! The family that owns it are wonderful! All their sandwiches are so good. We drive from Ramona to eat here, since we moved out of the area. They are always happy to see you and they know so many of their customers. The place is clean but very small. I wish they had one in the North county. The drive is well worth by it!

i have come here quite a few times and usually always have a big order (usually 4-6 sandwiches), and they are made very fast. they have a variety of sandwiches and even soups too. the sandwiches are always tasty and of quality. there has been a few times where i called in 15-20 mins before closing, and they were still able to accommodate my order. highly recommend :)

I can't thank Danny enough for recommending the tunacado . Flavor on the sandwich from start to finish is amazing.. I highly recommend giving this sandwich a try if you like tuna... I highly recommend this deli. Amazing service amazing food amazing people...

I'm starting to see that El Cajon has a bunch of good dell's to choose from.. Cajon Pass Deli is right at the top of that list... I ordered an Italian Torpedo sandwich and it did not disappoint at all. The service was phenomenal and I think I'm going to make it a point to eat here at least once a week. The prices are more than fair and the food was delicious.. we need to keep places like this opened because everything from the food to the service was stellar.. ibwould highly recommend.

This sandwich shop is amazing!! The sandwiches are fresh, juicy, and delicious! The owner is friendly and helpful. I am not a fan of chicken sandwiches but I was convinced to try the Zinger. When I asked if I wanted it hot or cold, he suggested hot on a toasted onion roll. I said, "Do it!" The result was scrumptious! It got a little drippy with the sauce but the bread handled it well. The chicken breast was a cutlet, not sliced lunch meat. It was flavorful and moist! The ingredients were all very fresh, particularly the alfalfa sprouts! I also got a San Diego Native for my sometimes picky teenager. She loves it!! "Amazing quality. The taste and texture are perfect. And it's nice and filling. So good!" That's high praise from the teenager! His drink selection is really nice. He carries Carlsbad water which can be hard to find. He also has a really good Snapple Black Cherry Lemonade that I have never seen before. Delicious! I saw some IBC and other tasty things in the case. The chip selection is eclectic and tasty. The menu is large and creative, but if you don't see what you want or are too tired to read it all, so what my friend did and create your own sandwich. I can't wait to try the Cindy Special which he says has been on the menu for 24 years! The rotating soups also must be investigated next! Inside there are a few tables that seat 3 or 4 and it's a typical deli atmosphere. Outside you can find a few more tables along to storefront. At lunch time you can expect a steady flow of customers picking up to-go orders. There was one handicapped parking space right by the door and a number of other spaces, all large enough for trucks.
I've been going to Cajon Pass for many years now and it's always great! Super Friendly people and fast service.

I only "discovered" El Cajon Pass Deli ~1-2 mon ago but, since doing so, I've returned ~6x. Why? Because their food choices, food quality and taste, and employees are all great. Any selection I made tasted better than its counterpart I've had elsewhere. Moreover, the folks who work there are uniformly friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend ECPD for anyone interested in good breakfast/lunch food served by people who appear to enjoy their work towards serving people good food.
