WOW!! IS ALL I CAN SAY.... WOW. Walked away from this food establishment. Its was definitely a very unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SUPPORT SEEING WHAT LOOKS LIKE BUISNESS OWNERS or MANAGEMENT TREATING THEIR EMPLOYEE/S SO DISRESPECTFUL... I happened to also see that they are hiring for staff LOL, i wonder why, and this place sounds like a nightmare after finding out someone I know previously who worked there, after mentioning my experience as a customer. I felt really bad for the employee/s trying to do their best. These people working for you are human beings, not work dogs to mistreat. I wouldn't be much help by giving the food a rating because I wouldn't waist a dime on this place.

I believe this is the only cafe inside the court house downtown, so I give the workers some serious credit for that "juror break" rush! Workers were friendly and the cafe had a lot more variety than I thought. I had ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and an iced macchiato. Shoutout to the barista for adding some caramel in there when I didn't even ask. For the bacon burrito, it's more accurate to add quotation marks to the "bacon" part because I only got 3 TINY PIECES OF BACON. I get it, they're busy, inflation, whatever... but if I ordered bacon burrito I expect more bacon pieces than 3 tiny ones. My only complaint.

Hard Copy Cafe was impressive for an unassuming coffee shop in the Central Courthouse. The drink and food menu is quite elaborate, with plenty of prepared foods and prepackaged foods at the ready. The prices seem decent, especially for a cafe that knows its customers don't have many options. I didn't try any of the food items but was happy to see a wide variety of muffins, bagels, chips, sandwiches, parfaits, and other quick bites. I tried to order a blended white mocha, but the cashier let me know that wasn't possible due to an issue with the blender. Her phrasing was a little odd, stating something like she's not sure if she can use the blender so she prefers if I order it iced or order another item. I got an iced white mocha instead. I asked what types of milk they had and she listed multiple nondairy options like oat, soy, and another one or two I forget. I assume they also have cow's milk, but she didn't specify any of those in the milks she informed me of. The iced white mocha was delicious! The oat milk was creamy and the drink was sweet and flavorful. For $4.29 (+$0.50 for oat milk), this wasn't a bad price for a small iced coffee. The cafe did look busy while the jurors were on a break, but the line was short and the wait after ordering was about 5 minutes when the jurors weren't present. I went for work so was not constrained to patronizing the cafe only while everyone else is there. I'd certainly return for a drink, and I'd feel comfortable trying a food item if I had to be at the courthouse all day.

The chicken breakfast burritos are spicy and good. Their oatmilk lattes are tasty and served fast. And I really like the tuna salad pasta. Everything feels pretty healthy and affordable. If you are here in jury duty and get a break you can order your food in advance using the QR code or grab food on the lunch hour. Given all the jurors it gets a long line fast but considering all the potential government food vendors this one is delicious, if you are not too bourgeoisie. The workers are nice too. Be nice they have to deliver a lot of food on short breaks and keep their cool. They have a nice seating area but there are so many other places to sit in and around the building.

Awful service. I waited at the counter for a couple minutes, and asked the fellow cutting lettuce for service. He assured me "she'll be right back". "She" arrived a few minutes later, and opened with "what do you want". Plain bagel. "We're out of those." Ok, I'll have a coffee. So, she puts the cup down and announces the total. I observed similar treatment for the next 3 people (who had also been waiting). Ok, this is in a courthouse. Lots of professionals, plenty of public - one coffee spot. So, I guess they can get by with this... At least the staff was nice to the law enforcement who came in later.

All things considered, awesome spot if you're at jury duty and haven't had breakfast. Coffee for a couple bucks, $5 breakfast burritos and a very nice staff made for a great experience. Lines tend to be long, but the cashiers handle the pressure with ease. Really nice place to grab a quick bite.

Dont ever work here literally the worst enviroment. Youll get called elementary and basically dumb by the manager for any minor mistake even though you dont get trained by him. He will also make disgusting comments about his ex wife. Accuse you of stealing with no evidence and verbally ridicule you in front of customers. Sometimes you dont get paid on time either and he always has conspiracy theories abt getting poisoned and everyone trying to steal his business lol do not recommend.

Conveniently placed inside San Diego Superior Court. Got a sausage burrito with no sausage though. Sad news bears..

The guy behind the counter is so rude to his workers . Saying very rude things . I do not want to come back here . Very unprofessional …

Service is great and coffee is fine. The employees are kind and helpful. The issue here is there is a guy here behind the counter frequently, probably the manager or owner, who is loudly scolding the staff for all to hear. One example: "you guys keep doing what YOU need to do but not what needs to be done!" Performance conversations should happen in private with employees, you don't publicly humiliate them. It makes for a bad atmosphere for all and isn't effective for leading a team or improving performance. I will also say though that to this man's credit he does jump in and help and is very good with the customers.

Ordered ahead with the "FastPass - Preorder" and nothing was fast about it... I tried to place the order while I was in jury duty before our 15 minute break and I guess my order wasn't even seen. It took me about 15-20 minutes to get over there and when I arrived it was not ready :( I asked after waiting still for a while if my order was ready or in the process of being made and they said they forgot to make the order but would make it right there which was still no problem to me. When I received the order it was whole milk instead of almond milk that I paid extra for... I asked if it was with almond milk and she said no. When I finally got the drink I ordered, it still wasn't great at all, it was just all almond milk... It's sad because I'm a very understanding person and rarely make reviews... when I finally received my order that was remade (the literal almond milk with ice) the person that was helping me was so rude when handing it. Seriously, my drink was white lol. Definitely save your money or plan ahead and bring a drink from somewhere else! And if you're wondering... yes I was late getting back to the room!

Friendly staff and prepared for the influx of customers. Inside the court house, but really good if you are here!

This is a good place to get caffeine. They have the usual packaged snacks. I've tried their pre-made sandwiches. They're decent. The music is irritating. It's always 80s Hair Rock, like Poison and Motley Crue. That's my main criticism.

Best part of your day if you have jury duty! Their barista is great!! Breakfast sandwich is perfect!
