I have always been satisfied with the food and service at Mal Al Sham. However, I believe they need to improve their seating system. They should either have a designated person to handle seating guests or implement a system that uses names and arrival times. When my family and I arrived, the lady at the entrance informed us that we would be seated next in 5 to 10 minutes when a table became available. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, another family arrived and the person near the door ignored his colleague and seated them before us, even though we had arrived first. This goes against the principle of first come, first served. and in this case, favoring customers over others is how I see it.Apart from this issue, the food is excellent and I consider it to be one of the best Arabic restaurants in San Diego. I always recommend this place to others.Vegetarian options: Falafel is our favorite vegetarian optionParking: Very limited

Food was kinda okay, a bit oily though! The soup is good! Platters are really wholesome and bulky! The chicken kebabs are tasty! The vibe is good in terms of expectations for a middle eastern restaurant! The service is slow, very busy and chaotic! Could've been better if many servers are there and they can give more attention to customers, etiquettes and the needs of customer group!

Top notch food for a great price! Not to mention the portions are so large you can either share or have it for leftovers. The people are really nice and the environment is super clean.
