I was so excited to try a family owned small restaurant and I was not disappointed! I ordered the lasagna, tortellini carbonara, tiramisu, and cheesecake. Every dish was delicious. Service was kind, friendly, and attentive. Looking forward to trying the pizza next time!

My niece and nephew worked here around high school age. Roughly 30 years ago. It has a home feeling for our family.

We love eating here. I always get the spaghetti with the salsa rosa with sautéed mushrooms. Very good. Lots of food and can easily make two or three meals. Everybody else gets meatballs or sausages added to their spaghetti and they say they're very good. The staff there are amazing. We go there so often that they know us and they're friendly and very welcoming. Very nice atmosphere for dinner.

My wife and I used to go there on occasion with my in-laws when we lived in Lakeside. We now live in Texas but were back in S.D. on business and we decided to go there as my wife and I had been craving their delicious food. As usual our meals were GREAT and the servings are so generous we all went home with doggie bags. It's meals like these that make us miss S.D. even more. Pasquale is the owner and never fails to say hello and thank us for coming which is always nice of him.Thank you Pasquale and your great food and fine Italian Restaurant. See you next time were in S.D.

By far the best restaurant I have visited. The parking is a little tricky. But the food is amazing I would recommend the chicken piccata and their cheese bread. The hospitality they offer makes you feel like you are invited in. The ambiance is like you are visiting a little village in Italy in the middle of El Cajon. Will be coming back soon. Thank you to everyone from the girl at the front to the guy helping my son with the code to the restroom. And finally, our server who was amazing and att

I've been going here for years on and off. I love the ambience of the place. The food doesn't disappoint but it doesn't really make me go wow. Then again that usually costs a bit more. But what's important is value and consistency.

After spending 20 minutes trying to find an Italian place to eat at I can confidently say that this was probably the worst choice in the area. The garlic bread was nothing but rebranded Texas toast. Chicken piccata was SWIMMING in flavorless dog water. The side spaghetti left everything to be desired. My boyfriend liked his meat ravioli but he'll pretty much eat anything you put in front of him. Hog. Salt ended up making the meal edible but you could tell it was running low likely due to previous patrons experiencing the same problem. Sending evacuation alerts to anyone within 2 square miles of my toilet later.

I used to like to eat here but it was just ok compared to what I can get other places for the same price.

Stopped by here for lunch today. Total hole in the wall place. We had Amanda as our server, she was very knowledgeable about what’s on the menu. They had a “build your own pasta” which was really cool.We will gladly return again. IMO, it’s the most delicious Italian food in East County.

I'd give it 5 stars but I think it's on the pricey side. Other than that the food is awesome and so is the service.....still pricey but really delicious after all these yearsVegetarian options: The Veggie lasagna was flavorful and plenty. I loved it. Would get it again

Marechiaro's is hands down the best Italian restaurant in San Diego for those craving authentic, homemade pastas and pizzas. Nestled in the heart of El Cajon, this unassuming restaurant belies the incredible flavors that await inside. Their spaghetti with meat sauce transported me straight to the trattorias of Italy - the tender noodles blanketed in a rich, tomato-based sauce chock full of meaty bites of beef and pork. Each bite fills your mouth with the sweet and savory flavors that dance on your tastebuds. The herbs and spices blend together so beautifully, creating a sauce that is impossible not to finish off to the last drop. Beyond pasta, Marechiaro's also crafts phenomenal crust pizzas loaded with high quality ingredients. The white pizza and cheese pizza stand out - both arrive with golden, crispy crusts that give way to flavorful cheese blends and fresh toppings like spinach and tomato. Equally important as the food is the welcoming, attentive service headed by the Anna (SP?). She knows the menu extensively and helped guide my selections for my takeout for takeout. Marechiaro's is delightful. It's the type of neighborhood gem that promises consistent, quality Italian cuisine that keeps loyal customers coming back. For authentic, homemade flavors and an intimate dining experience, there's no better Italian restaurant than Marechiaro's.
