Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff had a smile and the restaurant energy was electric. The food was served hot and delicious. “I really dislike el centro with a passion. However, Dogwood is one of those places that makes it slightly easier to tolerate this town. The locals inside are friendly, the women are fine (some of them) and the food is good. It's also connected to a gas station so if you're feeling like picking up some skittles and condoms after a wild night out you have the ability to do that. One time my friend left to grab something in his car and the bouncer wouldn't let him back in so I had to show him a group photo of us from earlier in the night and he got in. Solid place to go if you're recently single, trying to cheat, or just want to go for a few drinks.“

“We were in town for two nights and wanted to watch the Super Bowl with some fellow sports enthusiasts. This place was okay for that but I wouldn't call it a sports bar. The drink prices were good because it was during their happy hour. The nachos from Denny's were better than we expected. Service was off and on. sometimes the bartender came to our table and sometimes we had to go to the bar to get our drinks. Mostly the latter. It was a friendly place and very clean.“
