Croissant & Cronut

“We have enjoyed, many years now, the ham and cheese croissants, roast beef and cheese sandwiches, and the large chocolate donuts with chocolate chips and maple long John's. The 2 ladies that serve are always friendly and very hard working with a smile to start everybody's day.Kid-friendliness: They always ask how they're doing in school and wish them happy birthday“

Bruno's Ice Cream & Cafe Cafe • $

“This mom and pop shop is super affordable and delish! It doesn't look like much outside and you wouldn't think they get a lot of foot traffic but they do. Fav torta here is the carne enchilada. They marinate the carne themselves and tend to sell out fast. I always call in my order since everything is made fresh to order. Their tortas come toasted with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickled jalapeños and avocado. My bf loves their torta too that he ate it 2 days in a row. All their smoothies, milk shakes are made with real fruit, no powder or concentrated stuff here! Must get is their chocomilk with a banana blended inside. My only gripe is sometimes I get charged $5.50 for their carne enchilada torta and other times $6.95. It does say $5.50 on the menu though. Please come out and support this Mexican owned business!“

“Must come early to get the eggtarts. They're good. The custard is generous and eggy. Best part is they cost $1.25 and average-decent size. It's the cheapest eggtart by far. How they sell at 1.25 in 2022, idk. Bread is good. Everything is pretty cheap. What sucks is hours are limited. And selections after noon usually isn't great.“

“I've gone to most of these Hong Kong style cafes growing up in the San Gabriel area, but things have changed so much after quarantine. I have to say, WeChat has great food and great service. They close later than Arcadia garden cafe and bacallis which is nice. Our servers always check on us consistently and we have never experienced any nasty attitudes here. They also refill your lemon iced teas without just dumping a bunch of ice in your cups“

“Stopped by to grab some drinks after a short day of work! Just wanna give a shout out to the girl with the butterfly tattoo cause she was super sweet. I don't normally go to 7 Leaves, so I wasn't sure how to redeem my points, but she helped me out a lot. I ordered four drinks and three macaroons. Unfortunately, they were out of vanilla and chocolate, but the ones I got were still really good. A little on the sweeter side, but I love how soft the shells are. Honestly, I can say that I haven't had a bad experience with their drinks just yet! With every 7 Leaves that I've been to, all my drinks were always made perfectly. And I always love that they have a drive thru, which makes my life so much easier. 10/10!“

“Try to get here as early as you can! I got here probably at 9.40 AM-ish. Definitely a pricey pastry BUT worth to try (and come back to). Probably one of the best croissants I’ve ever had in LA. Flake to perfection, inside is very buttery soft and fluffy. Atmosphere is very cozy and nice to work.“

“I placed an order online, and went to pick it up. It's difficult to find a parking spot!! I went inside, and found the place for online order pickup. A few people in that line, and after showing my order confirmation, it was about a 5 minute wait. But the line for dine in was really long! And there is a reason! IYKYK.?“

“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.“
