I've ate here a couple times and ordered Bun Bo Hue and it's not bad. I've definitely have worse elsewhere but I also have better elsewhere. The service was great since last time I went, it was crowded. The ambiance of the restaurant was decent. Overall, I would come back here if I need to eat in a pinch.

Favorite place to get bun Bo hue in the sgv! Their cha(Vietnamese pork sausage) is so delicious! And I'm a fan of everything else in the dish as well. Super tender beef slices and tasty broth.

Takes a little effort to get to know the server to get good service. Maybe it was because we ordered everything for 4 people. The pho tai and dac biet were not pictured but the rest was good. Best was the jackfruit salad. I asked for the fermented shrimp sauce and she was kind enough to give me some.

This restaurant does not deserve a star from me. I took my siblings here yesterday. We order 6 items from the menu. One of the dishes, Bánh Nam La, was spoiled. After taking one bite, I have to spitted out because It tasted horrible like some one just vomited. I called the waitress and told her of the incShe immediately took the dish away before I have a chance to take the picture of the item. The manager came back to our table and claimed that there was nothing wrong to the item. We told her that we wished to cancel the order. We were charged for the item (see receipt attached). We received no apology from the restaurant manager. This is ridiculous because I have never seen such service in my live. I will never and ever return to this place or any of their sister restaurants.PS: I give 1 star so I can post my review.

5 Stars is one of the many Viet spots in El Monte.Ordered take out and it was ready on time.Goi Cuon Tom Thit - $7.50 - 2 spring rolls. Decent and fresh. Expensive for the portion.5 Stars Pho - $14.50 - Good broth. Meat was good. Not a fan of meatballs but this was the only pho option.Bun Ho Hue Large - $14.50 - Broth had nice spice. I loved the knuckle. Good portion size.

Despite the bad reviews and low yelp review, I'd say this place deserves a good review. They may not be the BEST Vietnamese restaurant, but their traditional Vietnamese appetizers are worth trying! I always come back for their Banh beo and some dishes that are wrapped in banana leaves!

I went to 5 Stars Hue Restaurant with friends and family multiple times. The delicious dishes here always keep me coming back for more! Whenever I am craving vietnamese food, I grativate toward this restaurant. Every dish comes packed with flavor and it makes everyone happy! If you are a first-time patron here, definitely try the Banh Beo, Spring Roll, and Bun Bo Hue. These three dishes are what keep me a loyal patron - you just have to try it! I've had many spring rolls in my lifetime as a spring roll fanatic SO I can tell you these spring rolls are the best! It's comparable to my aunties who make them during family gatherings. The Bun Bo Hue broth flavor will make you feeling warm, fulfilled, and complete. Its great to have a sick day as well to-go. If you are feeling more like fresh veggies and grilled meat, definitely try the Nem Lui. It comes with grilled pork which you'll wrap in fresh veggies! The 5 Stars Hue Restaurant is a must try! Your taste buds will thank you :)

I miss their location in Diamond Bar that closed down. I'm sure there may be better places to find banh beo and other banana wrapped specialties, but this place doesn't disappoint. Their pho is also good (they only serve one kind) making it a one stop shop that will fix almost all your vietnamese cravings. The nuoc nam is spot on with the perfect amount of umami and sweetness. My favorite is their chewy tapioca with dried shrimp (#15). Prices are fair and my only gripe is that they charge $0.50 per person for iced water. Nothing special about the water...just iced water in a cup.

We visited on a Sunday just before noon. We first tried the one in Alhambra but it was closed. It shouldn't have been but with the pandemic still happening, we figured it was staff shortage or they need to update their Yelp/online hours. This one is in Rosemead, just a few miles east. This restaurant is in a shopping center with roughly room for maybe 25-30 people with several spaces for parking. When we visited, it wasn't busy. However it did start to pick up after we left and we know why. The food is excellent and the portions are great. The service is friendly and moderately quick (I'm also thinking it's because it was not as busy). Hubs got a beef soup (pho) and I got a cool vegetable noodle dish (came with tofu) - even the sauce was vegetarian (no fish sauce / not my favorite so I try to avoid it). We also got the fried egg rolls (pork). We plan to return again.

I have come here for a takeout order for banh beo on a couple occasions for work potlucks. I usually get the tray and everytime it's been really good! They serve it with the fish sauce on the side too, which is plenty! And don't forget the fried pork skin too. The price is pretty fair too. Though I have definitely had better banh beo in orange county, this is pretty good for the area! I am impressed with the service and will come back for more, might try some other stuff on their menu!

Not a very good quality foods they are serving. For a standard portion of $11-12, I honestly expect a respectable quality of food. How hard is it to make Banh Canh?! I ordered Banh Canh, but they got cheap, cheated, and used the chow fun noodles instead of the noodles that are supposed to be used for that soup. Epic failed!!

Decent place to get a bowl of good Banh Bo Hue. Having been to their Alhambra branch, we know that this place can satisfy our craving for central Vietnam food here. Hue foods are particularly popular in Vietnam as they were palace food for the king. We probably know Hue from many Vietnam war movies and TV shows where they were many battle scenes took place in Hue. With such a rich history, the city claims several distinctive dishes -- from small and delicate creations originally created to please the appetites of Nguyen feudal lords, emperors (and their hundreds of wives) -- to lusty, fiery street-level soups and sausages with complex, explosive and satisfying flavors. 5 Star Hue offers many of those favorite Hue dishes here. I really like their Banh Bo Hue noodle soup. They don't get stingy on the meat and noodles. For $9, you get a big bowl of noodle with plenty of porks and other meats. Another of my favorite is Banh Beo. This dish is one of the iconic food in the Hue region. These are steamed rice cakes, about the size of a silver dollar, that come 8 pieces to an order, topped with dried shrimp, pork cracklings, shallots and herbs and served with nuoc mam pha. I like it so much that I can eat the whole order by myself. Although this restaurant offers beef Pho, I don't think this dish is their forte. The broth is decent and tasty, but you come here for their Hue food. You can also find plenty of other favorite Hue food here too. We were too full to sample all the Hue food at one go. Will be back for more.

The first time I had bun bo hue was here and ever since I've had it I've been trying it at every other restaurant since. Bun bo hue is my favorite thanks to this restaurant! Everything I've ordered here is sooo good.
