The warm bolo bao always hits when it's cold! They have some games here to play as well.

i was in the area and was craving some ice cream then i stumbled across this place on yelp. i love how many flavors they had and i sampled all of their special flavors. the service was quick and the person who helped us was also kind. the store was clean and organized and i'd definitely come back! the back sesame and thai tea ice cream were sooo good! last thing, the prices are super affordable! it was only $7 for my half & half scoop and another full scoop of ice cream.

Absolutely excited to have found such an unique spot with not only great and unique ice cream flavors but stuffed croissants and drinks! While we didn't get any croissants this time around we did try green tea, ube and Nutella cookies and cream ice cream flavors, horchata milk tea boba and my husband proclaims the hibiscus green tea is "the best thing he has ever had"! Great service and excellent prices. Can't wait to visit this place again!

It was kind of hard to findc but ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!! I tried the Lavender Ice Cream and the Green Tea one, both were spectacular. The guy at the counter offered us a little sample and thats how I discovered the Lavender Ice Cream which, I have to say, is one of the best ice creams I have had in my life. The suite this ice cream parlor is located in is kid of hidden though, you have to know what you are looking for, but it is absolutely worth it. Totally recommend.

Super awesome dessert spot! The little shop is so cute and they have a wide array of Asian ice cream flavors. Highly recommend getting their ice cream inside a pineapple bun or even just their ice cream. Inside the shop are board games too, so a great late night place to hang out. I felt so bad asking to sample so many things, but the man at the counter was so nice! We starting eating before I could get photos haha. I will definitely go back again and take some photos next time!

Wow, such a special hole-in-the-wall in El Monte. If you're looking for a quick treat after lunch or dinner, to meet up with friends, or do some focused work I encourage you to support this small business. Space is humble, clean, and cute. Owner is relaxed, with attentive and quick service. Snack and dessert options are as simple or indulgent for whatever you're craving that day. Fresh, warm pastries are top tier: mildly sweet bolo bao (try it with butter!), flakey buttery croissants--- what's great is that you're able to select from savory, sweet, savory AND sweet. If you're in the area, see what you think about what they're known for... The Bolo bao ice cream sandwich!! (some ice cream flavors made in-house! I like the Jasmine, black sesame, green tea). Fair prices and big portions, I tend to share with whoever I'm with. I just learned that they cater, and am keeping that in mind for any events or gatherings.

Cute quaint place, drinks are nice, the baolobao ice cream is bomb, I have been a regular but keep forgetting to write about this place. Owner is chill and laidback! Take a trip and check it out!

I've been wanting try this place out but there's very limited flavors and the flavors are alright. Nothing special.

This place is small and hard to find as it is tucked away in the back of the plaza. Limited menu and ice cream flavors... maybe 8 flavors... classic Asian flavors like Ube, black sesame, etc.. nothing original and probably not made in house. I'm not into pairing Chinese pastries or bolo bao with ice cream but hey... I'm sure many others will like it. The ice cream is okay for the price but the lack of ice cream dessert options is a deal breaker for me. It would be great if they offered milk shakes, root beer floats, ice cream sundays, banana splits... feel me?!!!

Hadn't heard of this place till today, but was so glad to have gone. Got the coffee and cookies ice cream on a pineapple bun and my boyfriend got a cup of horchata. It was super good and the ice cream guy was really nice. The place is a bit hard to notice if you don't know it's there but worth the visit!
