Very classic restaurant with a small menu. They have a few types of Pho and a few other dishes. We decided to just stop by while in the area. We were greeted by the owner and she sat us down. We placed our order and sat down in this quaint place.We ordered the rare beef Pho and a Hainan chicken rice. The pho was very fresh and the food tasted like it was homemade.Will definitely go again if we are nearby!

My family and I came here on a whim since we're driving through the area and were hungry. This is definitely a nice clean hole-in-the-wall authentic Vietnamese restaurant! It's not a huge place, just right for an enjoyable lunch or dinner.We met the owner, a nice Vietnamese lady who was very kind and attentive to our table. She gave great suggestions for what to order, and our entire meal was just perfect. We ordered our standard large pho with beef flank with extra noodle, a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, a Passionfruit Lemonade, and a Special Hai Nam Rice with Chicken, which was the owner's recommendation. The pho came out right away, which was nice not having to wait for our order.Everyone in our party of three really enjoyed the food and would love to come back again the next time we're in the area to try the other items on the menu!

I always come here with my family when we want something quick and delicious!! The environment and setup is very clean and they have all the utensils organized on the tables. The staff are very welcoming and kind as well. I would recommend trying their passion fruit lemonade!

Their Hainan chicken was way, WAY undercooked and they don't even serve the rice that goes w/ it. They argued that it wasn't raw. I never had to wrestle to chew dark meat before. Didn't realize it was raw until I saw how tough it was to chew the meat. You try to warn them nicely and they argue. Usually dark meat is very tender or falls off the bone. Even if it was dry, you still can chew it. It wasn't dry. It was raw.The pho was terrible too. Who puts such large chunks of meat in Pho? It's not authentic. And they leave the chicken skin on in the Pho. Not authentic Vietnamese. Most of the great reviews are from non-Vietnamese. Saw another post about the undercooked chicken. So I'm not the only one. It's happened before but probably more often than not- just that people don't bother to put a Yelp review. I wasn't planning on either. It's cuz Yelp just reminded me about my visit there and prompted me to write a review. So here I am.

Keeping up with APIHM and other supporting another Asian cuisine small business Pho Hai Phong Noodles. I ate here quite a few times mainly Togo order and limited time dining in. Ordered in person few orders of bun cuon stemmed rice rolls and famous hainan chicken (whole cut) side order rice and papaya salad and chicken rice noodle pho! The owner and staff was polite and generously offering cold tea for our wait! Clean environment and small restaurant. Give them the support and try them out located in chase bank plaza off Santa Anita ave and lower Azusa have private parking lot but yet busy! The food was as always delicious! Pricing did went up slightly but is reasonable affordable! Definitely will keep coming back for me and closes on Thursday guys!

This place have the best chicken pho around El Monte... we got 2 plain pho and order the half chicken on the side for 38$.. its better you order this way so u can have more chickens and for a reasonable price
