Oh gosh, a South El Monte Classic! Had lunch with my grandma here on a Thursday afternoon, wasn't too packed, but the weekends can get intense! I hadn't been there since years prior to pre-pandemic.Their empanadas are to die for and their submarine sandwich is delicious. My grandma really likes the new york style sandwich and the milanesa one is tasty too. I haven't tried their new style of waffle fries but their regular seasoned fries from the past were tasty- I'd imagine these too are very good!My grandma has lived in SEM for over 30 years, she reminisced when titos was only a food truck and there was no plaza surrounding it.
