Absolutely ridiculous waiting time for Togo orders. And the staff don't even care while I was standing there waiting for 30 minutes. Way better cafes in the area

I've gone to most of these Hong Kong style cafes growing up in the San Gabriel area, but things have changed so much after quarantine. I have to say, WeChat has great food and great service. They close later than Arcadia garden cafe and bacallis which is nice. Our servers always check on us consistently and we have never experienced any nasty attitudes here. They also refill your lemon iced teas without just dumping a bunch of ice in your cups

Hidden Gem Hong Kong Style Cafe! Discovered WeChat Cafe during COVID and loved their baked pork chop. I finally remembered to come back to try this place in person last week and came again this week! While this place offers a very similar menu as all the HK cafes in the area, the food is much more flavorful than other cafes I've been to. Everything is seasoned well, the beef stew curry was tender, the pork chop was very flavored with the lemongrass and well seared, etc. The prices are reasonable, not exactly cheap, but they give huge portions. I grew up eating at HK cafes in the SGV my entire life and this is one of the first times I've felt impressed. I haven't been to Hong Kong yet but I brought my dad here and he was also impressed and said that it tastes much more authentic than other places. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come out which seems a little slow but practice having patience! Like most other Asian restaurants, the employees here are not going to check in on you. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the service in Asian restaurants and I hate to see people docking off stars because of it. "Good" service is not a priority to people in different cultures, this doesn't mean they're rude. Our servers on both occasions answered our questions kindly, made recommendations, and were happy to help. The restaurant was pretty empty both visits so I hope they're doing well and that others can give them a chance!

I go here a lot when late at night since this is one of the few restaurants that open this late. Their food is pretty good. Price is average.

Food is pretty delicious. Ordered to-go and was still hot when I got home, 30 minute drive. Ordered the baked pork chop rice. It had egg fried rice underneath the pork chop so that was yummy. Husband loved it but he's not Cantonese. Also ordered another pork chop with vermicelli noodles and that was also delicious. Can't say for the rest of the menu. My 2 years old devour the baked pork chop rice which is rare so she gave it a thumbs up. Service was fast. Placed ordered and picked up in 15 minutes. Did not have to wait a single minute more. Interior is small but still comfortable. Parking lot was spacious enough. Didn't try any drinks.

Most authentic Hong Kong cafe. Love their food and service. Must try! It looks like we are back in Hong Kong

I love Hong Kong food, so I knew I have to try this place. I ordered through Uber eats, and got the baked chicken steak with curry, peanut butter and condensed milk toast and coffee milk tea. I honestly thought that all of them were mediocre. The baked chicken steak rice had a strong curry taste, but the flavor got really heavy after a few bites so it was quite hard to finish. For the toast, I was expecting it to be another form of toast so it was quite disappointing. The drink was not bad, I could taste both the coffee and the milk tea. But overall, the prices are on the higher end too so I don't think I would wanna return.

I think they are closed temporary ? I stopped by 2 times during business hour and they were closed. Called before you stop by

I was told the food was decent, by my partner, but for me - the service was not good. There were 2 older female servers and one younger male server/worker tending to one couple seated at a table (the only customers, aside from myself at that time). The two servers kept tending the couple without even acknowledging my presence for about 10 minutes. One of the servers finally looked my way, and asked if I have a pick-up order. I let them know that I did, and was promptly told - not ready yet; you need to wait. Granted... my order had only been in the system 20 minutes. I only ordered 3 different Tzo, so I'm sure there's no good reason to take this long in preparing the toppings. I'm less concerned about the wait time for my food, than the lack of care in customer service here. Still debating as to whether I'll return or not.

Food was good, soup dumplings are a must here! Got the beef hor fun, very splendid,a little too salty for my liking. The service was not bad, they really don't check on the customers, but the service gives out good vibes. The ceiling needs some improvement but overall a good interior. Overall, pretty decent restaurant.
