I have always wondered if I should get into cake decorating as a hobby and this satisfied my curiosity! I was super fun, the staff was so so so nice and always checked in on me and there were kids as well as couples on a date there. It was pretty cleanly and very organized. This is a super cute option if you want to make a friend a custom cake / cupcake for their birthday. I also recommend making a rose for you cake out of fondant, they have a little laminated instruction sheet on how to at the front - it was so cute and super easy.

The experience was fun to say the least! You get to decorate your cake to your liking and enjoy it along the way. The only cons was I didn't get to finish my cake before they closed and that they didn't have different piping tips for the piping bags which was very misleading after seeing designs from other customers which looked to has used piping tips. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I chose chocolate cake and it was very moist and fresh.

my bf surprised me and took me here for my bday! he had made a reservation and we were greeted upon stepping foot in the doors. workers were very kind and attentive. they gave us the run down of the place, tools, and what comes with our reservation. overall i had so much fun. this place is definitely perfect for friends, family, and loved ones. there was only 1 other pair when we came in (around 2pm) however by the time we finished around 3:30p, it began to get crowded, so a reservation is better safe than sorry.

What a clever idea! Duff's Cakemix in El Segundo is a super creative and fun cake decorating station for parties of all sizes. The best way to secure a spot is to make a reservation online for the time and date that you want to come in and everything should go smoothly from there.Whether you want to decorate cupcakes or a regular sized cake, everything you need is provided for you by the staff (icing, fondant, cakes, cutting tools, stencils, molds and pens). There are so many visual references and examples around the place to take inspiration from, but if you already have a solid idea of what you're going for, it's only a matter of what your imagination and hands can do. Once you're done, they give you boxes to package everything up so that you can take it home with you.It is pretty cold in here for obvious reasons, so bring a light sweater to keep yourself from freezing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the staff. They're super helpful and made our experience here worthwhile! Highly recommend trying this if you have the time!

We had an awesome time celebrating my sisters birthday.
The lady who greeted us was sweet, but the service was TERRIBLE and unorganized. I went on Sunday; they told me I need a reservation, nut during the week they accept walk ins. I went back on Thursday at 12:00pm and had to wait 30 mins because there was on one employee at the time. Others and I were walk-ins as well we all waited 30 mins. My children were over waiting for services, so we left.

I visit this place with a little girl, she was in love with the concept bc she could decorate all her cupcakes, we past mote than 1 hour in there and we didn't even notice it. The cupcakes and cakes are fresh and Ivan they guy who help us was very nice, he is attending every table and assisting everyone who requested. They have very good options for deco; frosting, fondue, candies, molds, food cutters; also they have a cleaning station and restrooms. I definitely recommend option for a great children activity.

I came across this place when I was looking for fun things to do. I know of Duff from baking shows so when I found out there was a place you can decorate your cake, I knew I had to try it. I made the reservation online, was sent an email letting me know to look on their websites for the DIY how to cakes.Service 2 out of 5We arrived to our reservation on time. We were greeted immediately and let them know that we had never been there before. The cashier was nice but did not explain really anything to us. She asked what we wanted to do. We said cupcakes then she took us over to choose fondant and frosting. Like I said we had never been there before. We didnt know how much of each we needed or what we could use. She let us pick fondant and frosting and sprinkles then directed us to a table where a couple of tools were on the table. She didnt explain what we could use or that there were other tools on the other side of the shop that were available for us to use as well.Food/Price 2 out of 5We ordered the 4 cupcakes to decorate. Two chocolate and two confetti. Cupcakes were already premade. For 4 cupcakes plus the fondant, frosting and sprinkles was $30. If you wanted to decorate a cake you were looking at $50+ a person. The cupcakes were very dry and not enjoyable. We didnt try the cake but overall was pricey. You had to pay extra for fondant or decorative candy. Overall not worth the price.I was not happy about my experience. Again we told them this was our first time there. There was no explanation to the process. And to top it all off, you had to decorate the cakes on the actual table. There was no table cover or anything. Made the decorating process very messy. It seems like a fun experience for kids but I wont be returning.

This place is an amazing concept! My family and I were in L.A. staying an extra night from our cruise.This place was the TOP SPOT on my 12 y/o daughter's list. She saw this place online and TV then begged us to take her. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Ivan and he was amazing!! He was extremely helpful and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her experience. She even flew back home with the cake she made.
