This place has grown on me a lot. It's overpriced when considering some of their dishes like spring rolls aren't really that much more elevated compared to traditional Vietnamese restaurants. However, their seafood dishes are certainly worth the money. I recommend the salt and pepper lobster, seafood curry, black rice, and sticky rice. You can get your pho, banh mi, and garlic noodles elsewhere. Shaky shaky beef, banh xeo, and rice paper rolls are also dependable options.

Consistent, elevated Vietnamese cuisine that never disappoints. Today ordered goi cuon, banh xeo, and bun tom thit nuong, which were spectacular as always. I dine here at least twice a month, and Jasmine is always sweet, kind and welcoming. Elcid, the bartender is also terrific and both offer excellent recommendations! It was Saturday night around 4:45pm, and got really busy by 5:30pm. Glad to see other servers and help arrived just on time! I appreciated the uplifting atmosphere and the music tonight. As a half-Vietnamese person myself, I appreciate their twist on the cuisine and adventurous approach. Will keep coming back!

Before we get to some pro-tips, we'll discuss the food. The food is really unique -- it's Vietnamese fusion and has some really tasty options. What is normally very heavy in fish sauce is dampened at Little Sister, which makes the food really palatable to a wider audience. We ordered: -shrimp and pork spring rolls -saigon lemongrass beef noodles -ban xeo Vietnamese crepe -lemongrass pork chop -shaky shaky beef The highlight of the meal was the shaky shaky beef, which is a staple on their menu and won't leave the menu. The beef is cooked to perfection and very tender. It's my favorite dish on their menu. The rice side that comes with the meal is really good. Onto the pro-tips: Costco sells $100 gift cards for $80, so that's a great discount. And second, Little Sister charges 3% on all credit card transactions, which means that if you don't earn at least 3% on your dining out credit card, you're better off bringing cash to pay for your meal.

I have been to the El Segundo location a few times. This last visit was bad. Just bad. Our server disappeared. I was almost 3/4 done with dinner when I finally asked someone else if I could please have my tea. Our server delivered it without an apology. It's hot water and a tea bag! The garlic noodles were really tasty but almost $20 for noodles and a few garlic cloves? The sticky rice was TERRIBLE. Our family is Asian and are restaurant people. There are SMALL pieces of the Chinese sausage but really greasy. The pieces of sticky rice taste as if they cook them in advance and then re-fry them before serving. Gross. Would be better if they just gave a scoop of sticky rice. The best dish was the chicken which my Mom really enjoyed. By then, I was over dinner. The server did not even offer us dessert but dropped off the bill with a quick smile and thank you.

Food was great, just felt a bit too close to the other tables. Had to wiggles myself to get to our table. Other than that service was also good.

The restaurant is a great little spot, the menu had plenty of options and all of them were delicious! Everything we ordered was fantastic from the teas, to the alcohol, to the food it was amazing.

I've been a regular at Little Sister's DTLA location, but recently tried this location before a concert. Despite being slammed with customers, the food was as excellent as ever. However, we couldn't help but notice that they were understaffed, with only one bartender working. It seemed like the bartender might have been new; we noticed some inconsistency in drink measurements, with one of our drinks being poured short. While the staff remained friendly and accommodating under pressure, it was evident that they could benefit from additional help on busy nights like ours. Nevertheless, the overall experience was positive, and I would still recommend Little Sister for its fantastic food and atmosphere.

Wife and I had been big fans of the Redondo location until a night we brought friends for the first time, and had staggeringly bad service. Tried El Segundo, and discovered that they're following the trend current in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa restaurants of seating customers practically on top of one another. Apparently "industrial-chic vibe" means getting to listen in on the conversations of everyone around you. We especially appreciated the details of the hysterectomy operation of the lady at the table behind us, as well as the business dealings of the Fabletics employees out for a bite next to us. Service wasn't great either. Took three tries to get water refills. The food is still fairly interesting, though the use of cilantro like lettuce is ridiculous and uninspired. (It was in literally every dish we ordered.) I would've been content to never return to Little Sister, but wife missed it. El Segundo brought even her to the place of "Yeah, I don't think we need to come back here."

To be honest I only went for take out! Their garlic noodles which was fantastic. So on that I imagine the rest of their food is incredible. I did try a drink there at the Happy Hour! My favorite cocktail, a Mai Tai! Try something else. Making a Mai Tai over crushed ice is criminal and there wasn't any flavor. But that's just that drink. The rest might awesome!

Overpriced fusion Vietnamese food That's what sums it up for me you're paying double the price and it doesn't taste as good.

The atmosphere during the day was bright and welcoming. The service was excellent. It's been some time but the food was delicious! I plan to go back soon and will update my review. But go try it! You won't be disappointed.
