My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast. My grandson also was a happy camper with all the attention on him. Love this place.

Thanks to Jessica and the entire crew there. We will be regulars there. Good to transport my mother back to 1955.

Scrambled eggs were flat, corned beef over cooked, coffee refill was slow, and very important, music was too loud! I went for breakfast! Not to listen to loud music and customers trying to be hrard over it! First and last time!

I was a bit disappointed. I walked into Bert's, there were tables open/ available, and at the bar seating if I wanted to sit between other folks. I asked for a table of 1, I was informed I had to sit at the bar or outside on a heated patio and it's cold/raining weather. They said they don't seat parties of 1 on the weekend. Disappointed that Bert's would discriminate against all the folks trying to dine alone and not be forced to sit at the bar or outside. Shaming on folks for being single/widowed/alone.

Okay! So through the years this fun place has had its ups and downs, well whoever owns it now has it on an upward swing! Breakfast here is amazing! No matter what you order you can upgrade to biscuits and gravy instead of toast and it's great. My wife always goes towards the Mexican style dishes and I'm a traditional corned beef hash and eggs guy. She does however enjoy adding a pancake in place of her toast and that's amazing. Huge portions served fast in a place that takes you back to the 50's while you're there. Service is fine depending on who serves you? We've never had any real issues but being in the restaurant business it's easy to see that they have servers that like to chat instead of work sometimes. The ambiance is definitely "Old Elk Grove"! You'll see local ranchers eating their breakfast or lunch no matter when you are there. I'd say they really are doing a very good job for what it is, a local cafe and lunch spot! Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Another great experience at Bert's, first time for breakfast. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette, possibly called Old Faithful. Comes with hash browns or country potatoes, has browns please, rye toast with extra butter on the side plus Diet Coke (or Pepsi). Ordered arrived as requested, plate super hot, tons of melting cheese on top, hash browns a little extra crispy per my request and toast with extra butter. Generous cheese, fresh ham in omelette. Refilled my drink. Excellent breakfast, lots of menu options and I will go back to this place. Customer service was good. Thank you Taylor. Funky ambience, old diner, nostalgic. Breakfast available u til 1:00pm.

Servers and food is always awesome:) This is my favorite restaurant ever and all the girls are so sweet. The environment also adds to the experience.

I love this old time restaurant. We meet our friends there, and have always had a great meal. The service is very friendly and the cost is great. Great ambience with the jukebox is playing music,

This is quite possibly the worst food I have ever purchased from a restaurant. We ordered 2 burgers, fish n' chips, and an order of fried zucchini. The burgers are frozen preformed patties that are two thirds the size of the bun and cooked to the point of cardboard. The "fish" was for sure frozen fish sticks that said cod but were more than 50% breading and the zucchini was inedible. If I was dining in I would have sent everything back and walked out. It is mind blowing that this place is still in business. It's overpriced frozen food that isn't even reheated in a skillful way. They should be ashamed to serve that food to anyone.

The husband and I spent the weekend in Wilton, Ca with my dad and we were a little hungover from the night before so dad says get in the car nobody is cooking! We ended up at this place where it felt like we went back to the 50s! Everything there was vintage. The food was delicious and very filling but what really had my attention was the mimosas! Me and dad had lots of fun together and the music was on point. The staff was very helpful to all of us and made it a great visit... It looked like it was connected to another side but I didn't go to check. Can't wait to go back for breakfast again the next time we are out there.

This is an old 50's style dinner. The food and the service were good, even though they were busy. We have been there before and I am sure we'll be there again.
