DELICIOUS! I had the tacos al carbon. My friend has horrible allergies. The owner/manager (?) Came out to make sure he was getting the food correct. She was very happy with the flavor . I can't wait to go back. I don't live in the area , but it's right off highway 99 with easy on off.

Sat at the bar. Food was fire. Ordered the Carne asada burrito. Atmosphere is super comfy. Nice bartender and nice staff. 10/10 am going again

I really like how they have remodeled the restaurant after taking it over from a different restaurant. It looks so clean, fresh, and artistic. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious including the fresh guacamole ?. We will definitely be back with family next time.

You know the saying “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”? Reading the reviews, one might think this a hidden gem in the Elk Grove area. Sadly, I wasnt super impressed. This place was just ok in my book.

So I appreciate the fact that this place was open late on a regular weekday. And we were sat outside/ inside was kind of on the border of the outside patio. It was a beautiful night so it wasn't that bad. Service was quick and we were served our drinks. Our server came, took our order and our food came out super quick. This is my second time trying this place. The first time was through DoorDash so this time being able to actually sit in the restaurant and get the food as soon as it comes out. I must say it was pretty good. The chips and salsa to start. We're pretty good. And the food came out presented well and was super tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.

I love this place. The owner is so amazing and he talked to us about the new menu and invited us back to enjoy. It was amazing experience.

Love the vibe and the service here! Cicadas is a great place to come hang out and have a few drinks and some food with friends. So far I Got the chile relleno plate and that was good! The rice was green and interesting. I would definitely give it another try. The chile relleno was cheesy and delicious. Tacos are $1 on Tuesdays, during happy hour. They are smaller than your typical street tacos but flavorful. The barbacoa might be my favorite choice of meat here. I love the thin crispy cantina chips and their salsa is yummy. Their margaritas/mixed drinks came out in a large margarita cup. Shocked with the size. They even have fruit infused tequila! Definitely a must try. Place is clean and workers are awesome. Also love the sanitizer when I first walked in. Lots of parking in the lot, don't think I've been when it was super busy though.

Great place. Never a wait, service is on point and the food is good. Awesome place to go have some drinks while you wait out the shitty traffic on 99.

Located off of freeway 99 in Elk Grove in the Laguna Gateway shopping center. This spot used to be Logan's Roadhouse. To me it looks like they pretty much kept the same lay out as Logan's Roadhouse, just a different vibe of course in regards to decor and furniture. They offer plenty of seating throughout the inside of the restaurant and have a small patio for outdoor seating. When we walked in there wasn't anyone at the host stand so we kind of just stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge us. On this day it wasn't busy- at least it didn't seem that way from an outside perspective. We were finally greeted by our server. He gave us ample amount of time to look over the menus since it was our first time there. We were given chips and salsa, which tasted good. Looking at the menu a lot of items sounded good so it was a bit hard to make a decision on what to eat. My boyfriend picked the mexican pizza and I ordered a burrito bowl with steak. The food came out within 10-15 minutes so it was nice not to have to wait too long to eat. Their mexican pizza was bout the size of a large plate good enough for one person. I didn't try it, but my boyfriend said it was OK. Nothing spectacular or anything that stands out that would make him want to order again. I was actually pretty frustrated with my meal. First they compact so much ingredients in a small to medium bowl so when I stuck my fork in to take my first bite a lot of the greens fell out the bowl as I pulled out. There was no room to mix it so I asked for a plate so I could transfer it. Once I transferred it to my plate I was surprised to see how much my meal lacked rice. This was not a bowl this was a salad and the name should be changed to burrito salad from burrito bowl imo. This bowl was lacking most of the ingredients besides greens. The steak was ok. They also forgot to give me the dressing that it came with and when I asked it kind of took some time to get so my frustration grew a little. Most entrees are $15.99 and up, which I feel is a bit pricey and especially for the quality. I am giving three stars because our server was very attentive and polite. Their chips and salsa were also good. We left feeling unsatisfied, though. There was man walking around who looked like he could be the manager, but he did not look friendly nor approachable so I didn't bother to address my concerns. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

I was super happy with the food, service was really good but they weren't very busy at the time. This is one of the restaurants I hope survives. The taco special was really good and the happy hour prices are great. Could be spicier but that's just me.

The food was amazing and plenty of portions. Their happy hour has great prices as well. 2 stars is for the service. We had dinner here tonight and we were greeted with an attitude. Our server never checked on us but passed by us several times. We had to flag her down numerous times to get service. Never once did she offer to refill our water, to clear our plates or if we were even ready to order! When we asked for boxes to go she just gave us one small one when there was more food still left on our plates. Very disappointed as I wanted to love this place…

Can't say enough about how friendly the staff is; led by General Manager Raul. We're always happy to stop in for a great lunch (love the Chimichanga) and they're happy to accommodate my request for no rice/beans on the plate, but chopped lettuce and tomato. The Guacamole is superb; we always get enough to take home for later. The restaurant is always clean and fresh, with a nice ambiance. We have always been pleased to bring guests for dinner, and everyone we've brought has always been happy with the food, drinks, service, and restaurant. Give Cicada a try, you won't be disappointed!

First stop here since Logans. Had the happy hour tacos. Chicken was surprisingly good and well flavored, as well as the Carnitas. Staff is friendly and attentive.Definitely going back again to explore more of the menu. Slightly pricey for some of the dishes i saw around me, and compared them to the menu. Happy hour specials every day too!Worth the visit.

I had the BEST experience at Cicada Cantina! I have wanted to try this place for over a year, and oh boy, it did not disappoint! The service was fast and friendly, and the FOOD, OMG, the food was AMAZING!!! This is my new FAVORITE Mexican Food restaurant!!! My carnitas fajitas were to die for, and my Mom loved her enchilada/taco combo plate. The restaurant decor was beautiful, clean, and spacious. My server was "O", I think it's spelled Orfelia! I was super pleased with everything and "O" was friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall it was truly a great experience!

Good Mexican food in a really nice, clean, large facility. Friendly staff who seated us immediately. Good diverse menu with something for all - from food options and price points. Glad it's here in Elk Grove.
