Large and airy sitting area. Had the mackerel entree and udon. Took some time for food to come out even though there were only four customers. Udon was salty and quite different from other Japanese udon. They gave 2 pieces of mackerel which was a plus. Standard taste and presentation.

Come here and you get good food with fresh fish and generous portions. The fish isn't sliced razor thin like lots of other places. Service was great and attentive. The dining room was really clean. We started with the Sushi Tacos. Tasty and lots of fish. It was served on a square of tempura green beans. The Hokkaido roll and EG Specials were excellent and we ended with green tea cheesecake. I'd definitely recommend.
Came here day after Christmas and it was busy! Seems like they're short staffed that night so it took an hour for all our dishes to arrive, especially if it was prepared at the sushi bar. I definitely noticed a lot of repeat customers as the owner greeted them. This is a good sign that the food and service must be good! Our server that night was Tai and I cannot agree more! He was running all over trying clear out tables, serve food , and take orders from all the tables! He was a rock-star! So we ordered mainly from the menu and those were good, but the miso chicken ramen that we ordered from the specials menu on the wall was not so good. The chicken was very dry and rubbery. It almost tasted like it was microwaved or overcooked and then plopped on top of the ramen before serving. I didn't taste the miso in the broth or the chicken and the noodles were over cooked. It was too soft. The sushi rolls were the best and it took the longest. Unfortunately, it seems like some customers that were seated later than my group, got their food first. It didn't seem like the sushi chef or the restaurant has a process.I would come back to try the other rolls, hopefully when it is less busy!

1st time there as I found it from Yelp. I'm a sushi ? fanatic and I always try new restaurants near me. Service was great, food was good and the place is very clean, it's only lacking personalities from the chefs, there was nothing at all, if they up that game this place would be The Sushi place of Elk Grove/

My buddy brought me here to check out, both first time and pleasantly impressed by the quality of the fish. Location is clean and observed all food safety procedures. It's a Friday night and so it was busy. Nice to see community supporting local businesses.Pricing is comparable with other establishments. Just be mindful they charge for everything. If you're a fan of pickle wasabi don't say YES if the server asked you. Will definitely return again to try other stuff on the menu.Thumbs up for service and quality of fish. I believe Daisy is the owner of the establishment. She was chatty but very sweet! See you soon

The food was well prepared, the service was on point, and the restaurant was clean but the Sushi chefs could do with some personality. The owner was very sociable and kind which is what only a few Sushi restaurants have, this was a pleasure. I will go back now and then due to the prices being steep which is OK if your food is mind-blowing. Mikuni, Umai, Sushi Q are much better per food/price comparison. It was my first time here as I try different Sushi places within my city.
