I've had dolsot tofu and or bibimbap in L.A., Georgia, pretty much anywhere I go. Their appetizers (banchan) are really really good and seasoned well too. They make a good tofu soup and bibimbap too. Their Galbi is also very good. Thumbs up. Very authentic!

07.14.2021 - we went to this restaurant to get our Korean Cuisine fix. We weren't in the mood for all you can eat. Just an intimate dinner without all the fluff. It's not as flashy as the other Korean Restaurants in town. We could tell it's a simple family owned restaurant. You won't get your sports bar feel because it's not set up this way. It's literally an intimate charming restaurant. The venue is small in size and it's highlight is the food itself. I do recall a television but I saw a BTS music video playing on the screen. SERVICE We thought we could just walk in at the time we arrived but there is a sign on the glass door "Reservations" and a phone number. My boyfriend at first just gave up when he saw that sign, but I quickly gave them a call right outside their restaurant. I asked if we could come in for dinner and I'd like to reserve. The person who answered the phone told us to just come right in. My boyfriend thought it was funny. But yah so when you decide to come in, call to reserve. Who knows this might change later on. ITEMS WE ORDERED Spicy Pork Bulgogi Galbi - Beef Seafood Tofu Soup 805 Beer The food was just right for my boyfriend and I. We had enough and we were full at the end our meal. The banchan (side dishes) tasted fresh. The flavors were on point too. The primary focus in this restaurant is the food. Would I return? Most definitely!

I had very low expectations from this place due to the ratings, but the food here shocked me so much! I got the tteokbokki and beef bibimbap, and also the kimchi pancake (not pictured sorry i didnt take a photo of it). I got the rice cakes extra spicy and it was actually a good heat! Rice cakes were cooked to perfect texture, and were so yummy. The bibimbap was also very delicious. They provide you with sesame oil and pepper paste on the side to add in to your liking. The sizzling hot pot adds a nice crisp to the rice and everything complemented everything so well. Customer service was good, the people are very welcoming and friendly. When I finished eating with my aunt, the worker asked if we were brother and sister haha. We said no, and I wonder, does that mean my aunt looks young or do I look older? I would definitely be going here again. It is close to me and next time I come here I would want to try the tofu soup. Again, great place and love the workers here!

The BEST bibimbap in Elk Grove for sure. I love Tofu House! We've been coming here for awhile now and they are consistent every time. We get the beef dolsot bibimbap (hot stone) and I love to get it with light rice and it's PERFECT. We never leave disappointed. Their sides got a lot better but I wish they kept the small sweet fish that they had before!! We always come around lunch time and it's never busy or crowded. 10/10 recommend this small business

I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I have to say the service is always good and they keep the spot well kept all the time. Rates are fair and they serve large portions.

Came here for a late lunch and everything was pretty delicious, this is my second time here and it was as pleasant as the first time. They are open for dine in again as COVId restrictions are lifting. Upon entering the space it is very clean and in order and I was seated right away. I ordered the Number 20 Bibimbap (Dolsot: Hot style) with any soup of my choice and I chose the seafood soup. I also ordered a seafood pancake. I waited about 15 mins or so and my food came shortly after along with a few side dishes ( broccoli, kimchi, bean sprouts, fish cake, tofu, and lastly I think it was picked radish). The food was very good and the service was quick and efficient as well. The Dolsot Beef Bibimbap was very tasty and crispy due to the hot clay pot it was in and the veggies mixed in gave it nice textures. The seafood soup is very flavorful with soft delicious tofu and eggs. The next item is their seafood pancake, the dish is so thick and well seasoned and goes fantastic with the dipping sauce they give you. The seafood pancake consist of calamari. Shrimp, crab, and Korean pancake mix. It was very airy yet crispy and not greasy at all. In terms of side dishes they were pretty tasty as well. They kimchi is very good in my opinion not a nasty old water down taste like other places. Among my favorite's were the fish cakes, tofu, beans sprouts, and of course the kimchi. Staff and owner were very friendly, service was great, and food was wonderful. I will definitely be visiting again as I want to try more delicious dishes. Also it's pretty hard to come by a Korean place when you live in Elk Grove because all the other places are so far so this will definitely be one of my go to's if I am craving Korean food and don't want to make an extra far drive.

Love this place! The hostess is always smiling (under her mask) and offers great recommendations. Today I had the japchae, with a complimentary side of kkakdugi and cabbage kimchi. All three were delicious. Tofu House is my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in Elk Grove.

Everything is so very delicious, but the meat portions on the rice dishes are too little for the money paid. It's pricey so they should serve more meat on the plates. More rice, too!

Been going here for years. Great food and very nice and helpful staff. Love the Dol sot bibimbop. Crispy rice on the bottom. Chicken bul go gi is also delicious. Great sides.

The restaurant was at 25% occupancy and my friends and I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. I called in for a reservation 6 hours before and it was super easy! The server was attentive and nice. The food was also sooo good. My friends and I are definitely coming back!
