This was my first time coming here and it was surprisingly pretty good. The inside has a nice modern decoration although I would say their seating is weird. If I were them I would get rid of the long high seating table. The waiters/waitresses were friendly and attentive. It's a little pricier than some of the other local spots but not bad. I got the Tan Tan Ramen which was really good. How their bowls look, it looks like there's not much food, but I was more than full. There was a lot of meat and it's nice that they give you a whole egg. The broth was rich and creamy, slightly spicy. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to other people.

Great spot in Elk Grove to get some delicious Ramen. They have a nice menu and even some vegan and vegetarian options. Had a work luncheon there. Plenty of seating for parties. Friendly staff. Most importantly reasonable prices and yummy food. All in our party ordered something different and everyone loved what they got. This is a nice little hole in the wall joint that my son especially likes. The food is always hot and tasty and it's a really big bowl of soup. My only complaint is that the pork they use in the ramen is really fatty and it's hard to remove the fat while eating.
Got their specialty ramen and it was PACKED with tons of premium meats. However, as a meat lover, I'm surprised to say it was actually a bit too much for me. So, I'll be ordering a more chill one if I visit again. The ramen itself was nothing special. The noodles aren't the most fresh and I did not like the broth very much. The broth had an intense smoky flavor which tasted quite artificial and is not what I'm looking for in a traditional tonkotsu ramen. I also tried the garlic noodles which came in a massive portion. It tastes good but many noodles were clumped together into large chunks. There was also a lot of oil leaking from both dishes. Overall, food was okay but felt very unhealthy.

Maru Ramen bar is a great lunch spot! The restaurant is very clean, there are a variety of places to sit— including spots for larger groups. The menu has quite a few items on it… but I’m not a ramen expert, so I won’t comment too much on that. I tried the spicy Akamaru ramen and really enjoyed it! The bowl they serve it in is genius— perfectly shaped— deep to keep the noodles hit, but wide at the top so you can get to all the goodies. The broth was SO DELICIOUS… not an immediate burn your mouth spicy, more deep and complex. The pork spirals were great! Pork belly-ish and crispy on the outer edges, but lean and tender on the inside. The noodles themselves were decent. Oh! And don’t forget about the best ramen spoons ever! Overall, I thoroughly enjoy Maru. It is fairly priced, service is friendly and attentive, and the food is great. Beware— the parking lot can get packed. Don’t let it deter you!Parking: Don’t let the busy lot get you… park in the middle section of the lot, otherwise you can get stuck waiting to leave!Kid-friendliness: I’m sure my twins would love it!

Let's get into it: This place's ramen? A love affair in a bowl. And the wings? They'll make your taste buds do a happy dance. Beer selection's like a boutique small but oh-so-fine. Timing is everything here come at the wrong hour and you might wait a hot minute. But hey, no downtown parking drama, so who's really complaining? Worth the wait for that slurp-worthy goodness!

I want to try Maru Ramen Bar for a long time. Finally, I am here! I ordered the Akamaru with regular spicy. It tasted good. I received a lovely greeting as soon as I walked into the restaurant. They're not very busy at the time. I got the ramen ready less than 5 minutes after I placed the order. The spicy level is perfect for me, and the broth is not too salty. It tasted delicious. The Chasu are larger than most of the Japanese ramen restaurants. But a little bit too tough. I hope it is a little softer. The noodles are a little undercooked too. I like the dining room. It gives me a vast open space and a natural feel. The two waitpersons are doing a great job of caring for all the customers.
