This store had some nice selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, the employees go out their way for the customers and the overall experience was great.

Absolutely hate shopping here. Anytime I do a delivery or pick up they are always out of stock of multiple items. Not enough cashiers but plenty of people standing around.

I recently visited this location on 1/5/23 at around 4:30-5:00pm and went to the deli. Working the deli was this young woman named Ashly . Ashly was extremely rude, didn't want to make our sandwiches . Took an extremely long time to make 3 sandwiches, making snarking comments to her coworkers about pricing over the phone and got even more upset when i asked her to ring up my food . She said " well I'm kinda busy " and then reluctantly made rang it up. Whole time doing it with an attitude , to the point I had to tell her she was being rude . And didn't even apologize . Terrible customer service, she needs a new job.

I do my grocery shopping at another store. I mainly shop at Safeway to buy lottery tickets (few and far between), make copies of keys, and any vaccines at the pharmacy. If I need something I cannot find at my regular grocery, I will try Safeway. Otherwise, I don't really care for Safeway, even though they are a huge store and have a bigger variety. I don't like the impersonal feel shopping there. At least at my favorite grocery store they know my name! Even after COVID, the cashiers will not bag groceries. They won't touch the bags you bring in! Just lazy! I feel invisible shopping there.

I ordered a Thanksgiving dinner from the store on Laguna & Franklin in Elk Grove. It was for a family in need. I pre- ordered well in advance. The clerk didn't even ask my name. She just went into the walk-in and brought out a tiny turkey and a box of sides.Turkey was smaller than expected. You could drink the mashed potatoes! The green bean dish was missing, as well. Never again! Raleys has better quality if you need to order holiday meals.

This Safeway has a great location, but that's not all. The personnel in every department goes above and beyond customer service. They all make you feel like family when you go and welcome you with kind and competent sincerity.

If I could give 0 stars here I would. You don't hang up the phone on customers. I spend between $700 and $1000 here per month on groceries and cleaning supplies and home items. I have been using delivery with the fresh pass for a while now due to surgery and health reasons. The driver left the groceries across the complex today at a different apartment didn't call or text and left a photo evidence of my groceries being left at a different address than mine. I originally called to let them know this happened but now I want a refund. The manager ended the call with a rude tone. Absolutely done with Safeway today.

What the happened? Safeway has been around a long time-I remember them when I was a kid and I'm 66 years old. Thequality has dropped! Order pickup e-mail receipt is empty devoidof items purchased. No receipt in bag upon pickup. We won't mentioned simple items are always out of stock. I expect betterfrom this company who has been around forever!

Had trouble with getting a discount because I didn't have the paper coupons.Yohan was very helpful getting me set up online so that I could get the discounts. He is one of the hardest working people on staff running from one self check station to another. All of us seemed to need help due to the different types of member benefits and coupons that were needed. Hope his manager recognizes his energy and helpfulness..

I've been pleasantly surprised with Safeway the last few times I was there. The employees have become more attentive and friendly. Now if they would just open more registers.

I signed up for the special and downloaded the app ordered some wonderful looking ribeye steaks. Spent almost $200 before the bonus discount. They were delivered and they were the worst Purchase I have ever ever made. They didn't even come close to looking like the pictures they were just surrounded with fat and if I had to weigh the steak and the fat the fat won.Ended up throwing it all out it was so disgusting. I can't believe they would actually deliver meat like that... did not come close to looking like the picture it was full of gristle and fat or mostly inedible.

A lot of the times this place just looks dirty throughout the store. I think one of the biggest issues is rude staff including the managers there. With so many other places to buy groceries in Elk Grove I typically avoid Safeway and am willing to pay more for my items at the other places.

I love Safeway! I've shopped there for many years and enjoy the great customer service. Recently I went to purchase oysters from the meat department. Jason was amazing. He took his time to listen to what I was wanting and then not only packaged the oysters but also the ice to pack it in once I get to the car. I accidentally order more than I planned and he was so kind to go back to the meat counter and repack a smaller amount. Truly a kind person with great customer service skills. I really hope he or one of his supervisors sees this review. Thank you Jason!!!

The tall guy the works in deli service never wears gloves when he is serving food. He will sweep the floor and walk over to the counter with no gloves and serve food. The only time I saw him wear gloves and follow procedures is when Regional manager and the dept health was here surveying the food area.
