A friend and I came here for lunch today. First time for both of us, but not the last. Our server was very helpful suggesting items from the menu. He got the Two Taco plate and the Super Burrito Combination plate which came with rice, refried beans and a small green salad. The Burrito was huge, half came home with me. Chips and salsa were very good, chips are thicker than most, but very crunchy. Friendly family atmosphere very clean we'll be back

I Ordered ground beef enchiladas and my friend Ordered shredded beef burrito and enchilada. Told them and they said they would take care of it. Brought back the same ground beef burrito. Only thing they did was place a new enchilada on his plate.

My family and I have been going to this particular soup taco for a number of years and I've also had the opportunity to visit a number of their other locations in the Sacramento area. This elk Grove super taco is always awesome and a favorite go to place even though we've moved out of the Elk Grove area. My grandson experienced his first beans and raw rice and expanded to several other tasty entrées. The only recent change that I've been unhappy to experience is the Grande size Cadillac margaritas being reduced down to a small cocktail glass. The flavor of these new margaritas just don't seem to be the same and would love to see the old style brought back to the menu. Other than that, it's my favorite go to for both a great lunch and a nice dinner!

This place is a family spot for us . We are there 2 to 3 times a week. But I do have to complain that they took my super michelada and Cadillac Margarita away hopefully somebody reads this and reconsiders

A Mexican restaurant hidden in a hole in the wall is an easy way to sum up this restaurant.Although it is a traditional Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican dishes, the menu is small, and the sauces are "plain" in spiciness. That is not to say that the food isn't good, but it isn't Mexican/Hispanic great.I personally had the carnitas in my enchiladas with green sauce. I've had better carnitas at more traditional Mexican restaurants, more savory, but the carnitas here were tender. Then, the green sauce, I was expecting a little spiciness, but it was a sweet sauce. The meal was good but lacked strong flavors. Chips and salsa were without spiciness, just home style chips from corn tortillas and Pico de gallo with no spiciness. There was a sauce bar, but nothing of substance.For Elk Grove, this is the closest thing to a real Mexican food restaurant I've been to so far. I've been to taco "restaurants" where that was their main menu item, but not a full restaurant with full plates.For the most authentic Mexican restaurant, I'd suggest Tres Hermanas in downtown Sacramento or Cabello Blanco in east Sacramento, but Elk Grove still has a way to go before catering to softer pallets and making rich authentic ethnic food.
