Just ok. Hadn't been here since before covid. Was a bit disappointed with the food quality. They were out of Ikura. Table was sticky. Plates, bowls are all well worn & need replacing. Service was good but they were slow. Honestly, this place has lost its luster imo. Issue with receipts. Waitress brought out an itemized receipt when time to pay the check. She came by and picked up my credit card and brought me back a credit card receipt to sign. Problem was she did not return the itemized receipt and the total on the credit card receipt was higher than the original itemized receipt. I had to walk up and request the itemized receipt. The difference was the sales tax. I don't believe the original itemized receipt I was given showed the sales tax. The other issue is their tip recommendations on their credit cards receipts. The recommended tip percentages are based on the total including tax. They should be pre-tax. Why would I tip on a percentage of sales tax? Probably won't be back.

Food was okay. Some orders were nicely displayed. I tried AYCE, the server constantly kept coming back to see if we wanted to order more instead of refilling our waters. I've had better sashimi else where. Tables were also sticky.

this restaurant sucks. never order from them. They don't package your order correctly then blame it on the driver when it arrives like crap.

The food, service, and ambiance is good there. Try it on an all you can eat sushi night.

The to-go food looked like a TV dinner, even worse. We spent a lot of money here and it was not worth the money or the time. Not authentic Japanese food.

Delicious miso soup, good all you can eat sushi options. We had a great lunch, the only thing is it's like a freezer in there

We went there for all you can eat got seated then they told us it was to busy that we couldn't do all you can eat. You can't advertise all you can eat on the side of your building and not do it.

My experience was bad enough to leave a review. Everything about this place seemed lacking (except for the service - everyone was very nice and helpful). There is a large discrepancy between Google Reviews and Yelp reviews, so I’d recommend looking at Yelp reviews of this establishment before making a decision to come here.Sesame Chicken a la carte was way too breaded and the sauce was way too thick. The salad was drenched in kewpi mayo.Beef Teriyaki was too tough and chewy to enjoy. We got the super spider roll and it was no good. It definitely tasted like they were not using sushi rice. Very disappointing.Even the water didn’t taste good. The tables were sticky. Overall it just felt like the owners were neglecting this place and, as a result, the quality of the food and the environment were deteriorating.

I tried and tried, and the food got worse and worse. Today I paid over $35 for two rolls, pineapple and mango. The mango was hard and bitter and made the dry roll even worse. The pineapple one was even worse, pineapple chunks (maybe 3?) laid on top of warm fish. The rice is mushy, the deep-fried is soft and soggy--no interesting sauces. I even tried the soy sauce, which made it taste like vinegar. Just seems like it's made half a$$ed. It also takes FOREVER to get an order. I don't know how sushi mono stays in business. For basic sushi, I'll go to crazy sushi down the road.

I live in the area and noticed that sushimono window sign has change to AYCE. My husband and I were excited to try it and came in when they open at 11:30am. We were greeted by the nice server/host, who instructed us to sit anywhere we like. The lightning in the entire restaurant was dim and they just had the large windows open for light to come in. It was also pretty cold in there and I was wearing layers of clothes and my husband had a sweater on. We sat in one if the both next to the only TV that was on. They played international food shows which was nice as it gets you even more hungry watching good food being made. The booth table was sticky but didn't bother us. Sodas are from cans and not refillable. We went with the Course A menu and ordered a few rolls and appetizers. All the rolls we picked were good but the menu doesn't describe whats in the rolls or specify which rolls are deep fried. Our server was very nice to let us know what were in each rolls and which where deep fried. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and checked on us often. I asked for her name when we left and I believe she pronounced it at Jiyung but again without a name tag I am not able to give her the proper recognition she deserves to her manager. Personally, I didn't enjoy the consistency of the sushi rice in all of the sushi as the texture was a bit soft and mushy. Per the pictures you can see the rice ratio in each roll which is a bit much to me. However, their sashimi are great and fresh tasting. I very much enjoy ordering the sashimi as it was beautifully presented each time to our table. The appetizers were mediocre on Course A and not much we would want to order but we got the shrimp tempura which was delicious and hot. We got the french fries just to try and it was pretty basic. They had a secret menu stand on the table and it had bulgogi fries and other tasty items which was disappointing to not be in either of the AYCE menus. I would suggest the fries have an option to be dressed in aioli sauce and furikake for some seasoning. Not all impressed about plain fries. Unfortunately, the first restroom to the left is not all that well maintained and smells like a moist mop bucket water. Rust is all over the sinks and the restroom stall. All in all, we came to try the ayce and it was ok. The price for us both was close to $70 with tip. I am not sure if we will come again to try the course B menu at this time. I would say Fuji's would remain our main AYCE in elk grove as they have more variety on their menu for the same cost as course A.
