As an update, it's worth calling out how much the current owners have improved this shop. It's cleaner, brighter, the service is fast, etc. They clearly care and are putting in lots of effort and attention. It's always had good beans and coffee, but everything else is just better now. Top notch place, check it out!

Made a stop here before my appointment and it's a small mom and pop coffee shop. I sat down and did some work but it's definitely not ideal. The place is really cold and the in and out of people is making it cold because it's such a small place. I got a latte and coffee cake. They didnt heat up the coffee cake. It was okay but it was really hard. The latte is pretty generic as well. It seems like a good local neighborhood coffee place but I wouldn't go out of my way to get coffee here.

Great catering service for schools and other big events! I was introduced to their coffee in a school event and immediately fell in love. Easily went down to the shop because of parking and enjoyed the peaceful environment thanks to the staff. Single origins from across the world looks so good. I would definitely return and have them cater any of my events!

Ok first of all... coffee is expensive! I try to make my own cup in the morning but, frequently I run out of time or I just get a craving for a coffee that's better than my drip or French press at home. I've been a Peet's coffee lover since the early 90s and still consider it among the best. Phil's also had a wonderful cup of coffee and so I'll head over to one of those two spots fairly regularly. But I've seen this emerald hills spot for a few months now and never given them a chance. Thinking that, a lot of times, I'll try a place I've never been to, only to find that the coffee is sub par. Today, I just decided I didn't want to drive across town and, instead, gave this cafe a try. And I gotta say, the black coffee was absolutely amazing!! Full bodied, nice rounded finish..... it was every bit as good as any of my favorites. I tried the strawberry croissant as well and it was MUCH better than I had anticipated! Fresh, crispy dough with a nice sweet creamy strawberry filling. I will basically stop going across town and see these guys as my regular, for a morning cup on the run or, a stop on a bicycle ride through emerald hills. Definitely recommend. I'm

They are serious about their coffee here, which I love. They will test roast beans and make sure the roast they eventually sell is the best. Buy a bag bag of beans and get a cup of drip or just get an oatmilk cappuccino like me :). Either way you will be happy

10 out of 10 Is a must visit, whether you are a local or visitor passing by Redwood City like myself. Very welcoming environment, and my son loved his bagel as well as his iced mocha.

Friendly, enjoyable neighborhood coffee cafe. I appreciate a family business, who take pride in their product & service. I wish them great success & many years of business. My coffee & pastry was perfection.

I stopped in this morning and was blown away! Edwin takes pride in his craft and it's wonderful to see his whole family supporting his passion. They are a local family, born and raised here and in a world of chains it's refreshing to walk into a place with smiling people who are excited to be a part of the community. I let them suggest my order, which was an iced spicy/dirty chai and a strawberry croissant. I think I inhaled the croissant in record time, I didn't want it to end! The coffee is my new favorite!! You can taste the quality of the products they produce. Make the drive or walk to this place, it's worth it!

The most delicious and original coffee blends in the area!!! Their dark roast blend 1:18 is unique. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. My one year old loves this place
