What is there to even say. This place is the template for all great tiki restaurants. Drinks are always perfect. Food is great. The staff is amazing. If some developer ever builds a soulless cement box on this spot, we will all have lost a piece of culture.

This is a hidden gem. One of our favorite places in the East bay. They have the best and cutest cocktails and the food is delicious. Our top favorite here are the steaks, crispy shrimp, beef and reef. And can’t forget the banana fritters!

Great atmosphere for Easter brunch buffet. Flavors, quality and selection were good. Drink selections were plentiful and fun. However, all "hot" food was cold. At $98/person I don't think we would go back for brunch. Not to mention we were charged and paid for 2 extra cocktails we never ordered or received. I didn't notice on the receipt until I got home. There was also a $10.95 "admin fee" tacked onto the bill. We may still possibly come back and try lunch/dinner sometime. I could not recommend to others based on this experience.

We've eaten here years before and the dining experience was great back then, so my husband recommended this place to a group of friends for a reunion luncheon on 3/23. Times sure have changed... what a great disappointment! the food this time around was awful! My husband had the Short Rib Bahn Mi sandwich and said it was dry and overcooked! I had their signature Island Fried Rice to go, which touted their famous char siu pork with tender chicken, pineapple, ginger, garlic, egg, soy, green onion. Needless to say this dish tasted like it was stir-fried in rancid vinegar! None of it tasted anything like fried rice. Their famous char siu pork was no where to be found, unless you had a magnifying glass to see it. I love asian food especially fried rice, but this concoction they created was surprisingly nauseating, so I threw it in the trash! all $25 dollars worth of it, which is a huge waste of money. Thinking maybe it was just me, I asked my sister, my husband and a neighbor to taste the fried rice and they all said the same thing "it's awful!". I will never go back and DO NOT recommend this place for their food, they are highly overpriced and the service is so-so. Although their drinks are pretty good... nuff said.

At first glance you think this place is kitsch made real (and it is) but the food is original and good and the drinks are a delight. Yes, it's kitschy, but it's moved past that into "classic".Parking: Take a Lyft! Parking is terrible.

Recently dined here for a work event. I will say that the location is nice, the service was good but overall many were left unimpressed by the food. Here is a rundown of the food we ordered: Cosmo Tidbits (pictured) Crispy prawns were great, crab rangoons were good but could have done without the pork and ribs. Bengali Salmon Tacos (pictured) Great presentation but lacked flavor. Beef & Reef (not pictured) Definitely recommend. Great flavor. East Bay Lemon Butter Chicken (pictured) The chicken was cooked well but lacked flavor. Beef Cho Cho (not pictured) Comes out raw and you cook at the table over a small open flame. Did not look nor taste appetizing Overall, the ambiance was nice and it was good to get away from the office. I won't return but I don't completely discourage others from trying it.
