Stopped by tower last Wednesday for lunch and was greeted by julia the nicest bartender ever. She let me sample a couple of the house beers before I decided on the tower ipa which for a house beer was very impressive. The place has a ton of tvs as well as a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Food was enjoyable and I definitely will return. Hope julia is working next time I pop in!

This is the best bar in north county! We have been coming here over 8 years! First, is the location. Across the street from the beach - who could ask for anything more? Second, the food and happy hour is fantastic! Last, but most important, is the staff! They are the best are the people ! Sophia is bubbly and energetic and always greets us with a smile! All of the staff really are like our kids they are so wonderful - Ashley, Ashley, Aiden, Blaine, Brittany, Julia, Tom, Tiana and our BFF Daryl! Thanks for all good times at Tower!

Tower 13 is a beachy sports bar/restaurant right by the water. They have tvs around the restaurant to watch the various games, and they offer covered outdoor seating with heating lamps. The food offerings include wings, pizzas, sandwiches, burritos, burgers, salads, seafood, and they had a few vegetarian options. I ordered the vegan burger with regular cheese and a side of fries. The burger came with ample amounts of avocado, and the fries were DELISH. They had a good amount of beers on tap. The cocktails looked fun- my friend loved the Mexican Mai Tai so much he ordered 3. I'll be back when I'm in Cardiff next time. Note: definitely carpool if possible. The parking lot is small. You might get lucky with a spot on the street!

WOW what an absolute nightmare! I've lived in SD for 30 yrs but have never been to this bar but was invited and wanted to see the Lions in the Playoffs so I went to meet friends there. First parking was a nightmare so I paid for valet down the street and walked. The place was packed as any bar in SD would be because it's the playoffs and any bar worth their salt would've been prepared...but not this bar. I got there right when the game started with a party of friends. I ordered one drink and wanted to order food seeing how it was packed but the waitress said no only drink orders. Our waitress Sofia was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She snapped at me when I asked if they had any flavored vodkas she said "Did you not hear me? I said NO flavored vodkas!" I was pretty shocked so I said I'll just get something else and she didn't even give me a chance to order she just rolled her eyes and left! She didn't even take my order. So everyone in my party except me got drinks. I also was super hungry. I WAITED UNTIL HALFTIME TO GET MY COCKTAIL. Do you know how long it is to wait for a drink or food that long? It's unheard of! We all had also ordered food. None of us received food the entire game. Our waitress was a hot mess she was either wasted or severely overwhelmed because she was sweaty, disoriented, kept sitting down asking other patrons to commiserate with her, and then she got up out of nowhere and started screaming WE LOVE SPORTS!!! then disappeared again for a monumental amount of time. She came back mumbling that she got me a free drink for my troubles ...it was juice there was not one iota of alcohol in my drink. Everyone else got their food eventually but it was the THIRD QUARTER and I still had only one drink and no food. Sofia finally brought my Cuban sandwich (in the 3rd quarter) and fries and it was ice cold like literally my sandwich was like a brick it looked like it had been sitting out for 2 hours. The sandwich and fries were ice cold and hard. Sofia said "don't blame me our kitchen has been shut down for 45 minutes." I said I'm sorry but this is inedible I won't eat it. She said "fine order whatever you want but just know it'll take a longggg time to come out!" When she said that everyone at the table defended me and said I had waited an eternity to get my food and asked her to reconsider. She was obviously severely overwhelmed so I said "what can I eat that's quick?" and she kept giving me attitude so I said "young lady I worked in restaurants for years! After what you have put me through you should expedite my meal." So in the 4th quarter I finally got an appetizer. I was a waitress in my past for so many years for me to give a one star review means this place is a dismal failure. You have an amazing location so please get your act together. Don't act like you are in shock when a huge game comes ur way!

We used to love the chicken wings here, they were so big and juicy. Last night we had some that were so small and dry, what happened!! We would tell friends how good they were, not so sure about recommending them now.

This place is just simply not great. Two stars are for location and the bar tender (staff) was nice. I forgot her name. The happy hour cocktails tasted a bit watered down, the food is subpar even for a bar. Sorry Cardiff, but you deserve a better "beach bar".

Further, the prices are very high ($29 burger) and that before you add the 3.75% they add on to “cover operating costs”. If they can reprint a menu to include that charge (in the fine print) they could just as easily have printed the menu with the actual full prices.

Really can't go wrong with any of the tacos. Plenty of flavors for everyone's palate. Decent cocktail list and an even better draft beer selection. I recommend sitting out in the back patio area eating tacos watching the sunset. A definite must if you're in the area.
